"eyewitness news" outside wells fargo bank at cheltenham mall where police say 35 year-old jonathan mouse of elizabethtown lancaster county died while trying to move the safety deposit box, that ended up falling on top of him. the incident remains under investigation. no charges filed begins a philadelphia laundromat owner who shot a man who robbed his store and also, shot an innocent bystander. take a look at this surveillance video from north fifth street yesterday afternoon, he is laundromat owner running after the alleged robber shot twice in the chest. innocent bystander was shot in the hand.

all this, after the suspect dropped the $2,000 he allegedly stole. >> store owner was engaged and then actually turned around. and he believes that the individual had something in his hand. >> it turns out that the robber did not have a weapon, he is now in critical condition facing charges. police say they may also charge people who grabbed money off of the sidewalk. stabbed multiple times and left to die that is what the pennsylvania spca says happened to this pit bull named duke. animal control found the dog in grave condition in southwest philadelphia over the weekend. authorities say that he took loose from the care taker's yard friday night, duke underwent emergency surgery and is now in stable condition >> the idea of somebody just leaving him on the street to succumb to his injuries is very disheartening. >> the spca is asking for the public's help identifying whom ever may be responsible for injuring duke.

you can give number to their animal cruelty hot line at cbs philly.com. a synagogue in northeast philadelphia is dealing with yet another act of vandalism and police are going door to door to find suspects believed to be two juveniles. police also said they believed the latest incident is related to two previous cases since december, plus rocks thrown at temple menorah kenseth high on 4300 block of tyson avenue. juveniles involved were seen on video. police do not believe it is a hate crime. >> it just seem to be two kid, one driving a bike and they stop and they get roxanne where did they get them and they start hauling roxanne flee. >> in the latest incident that occurred overnight, a baseball sized rock was thrown through stained glass windows. they face possible charges of vandalism for all three incidents. police say the district attorney bill determine charges. city of philadelphia is welcoming dozens of refugees from syria fleeing violence of

are blind but that doesn't stop these bucks county brothers from playing. >> sight is not what should hold anyone back. it is just a minor inconvenience. >> reporter: mitchell is 13, big brother 17, they were born with a rare inherited eye disease called lca. >> having two blind kid initially the most devastating news. >> reporter: devastation turned into amazement for kristin smedley as she learned how well her boys could adopt and them excel. michael is an accomplish musician and involved with school productions. >> it is pretty humerus. they will look at me in the school wait you are blind kid running lights. are you hanging stuff on the catwalk. >> reporter: is there nothing you can't do. >> no. >> stuff they they can does unbelievable. >> reporter: kristin is writing a book that has a big following on facebook helping other families with blind children. she started a foundation called cure retinal blindness to raise money for research.

>> this is all of the silent auction live auction we are doing for cocktail for the cure. >> reporter: she's organizing a fundraiser and putting touches on presentation she had been invited to give which highlights, innovative ideas. >> it is a dream come true moment. >> reporter: she's exited to share her message of conquer fear and understanding that blindness can be powerful, lessons that she learned from her sons. >> their brains work at higher level then ours do. my son michael will say you are so distracted. sight of people are so distract by all this stuff you see, focus mom, focus. it ace macing. >> reporter: school and regular classes they use a brail note pad and have big plans for future that includes college, and big careers, being blind isn't much of a consideration. >> i really don't think it that is big of an issue. >> you don't feel like you have a disability. >> i don't. >> reporter: amazing, right. ted x event is tomorrow in new york, insuring sit, tech scans

with the wet sock. through the afternoon things got brighter, better, and warmer, that is trend we are in over next couple days as well. lets look outside, right now we have got some sunshine just in time for sunset which is still about an hour away, these days getting longer and longer. we are gaining two and a half minutes of daylight every day as we head toward start of the april this weekend. we have ups, downs through last few days of march as is, kind of the trend this month, up and down kind of movement more down then up. storm scan three showing cloud dispersed and we have a nice evening, not for long. another system off to the west producing pretty ugly looking thunderstorms over tennessee and kentucky. thinks all lifting through us for tomorrow. this will be scattered in nature, not a total wash out but also not a sunny, bright, beautiful day. we have breaks of sunshine here and there thinks not an official high just yet temperatures 3 degrees above average. we will hit 60. could still go up in the next hour as sun's out and

temperatures are slowly rising but want to show you calendar we have been trending upward here over past week or so but well below average outside yesterday and then tomorrow we expect to be well above average. so we're heading in the right direction. we have more red on the calendar through end of the month of march. future weather you can see through tonight everything is quiet. now fog will redevelop overnight and at lee a couple scattered showers overnight, wouldn't be surprised to hear rumble of thunder here or there around two or 3:00 a.m. nothing severe but couple showers here and there wake up everything will be wet again, wake up to fog tomorrow morning. generally dry, through the morning commute but then showers, redeveloped, and on and off through lunch hour, scattered showers around 2:00 and right around the evening, a few of these showers, could even produce lightening and thunder, couple of gusty storms, possible later on tomorrow evening and then into tomorrow night before we finally will clear it out by midnight tomorrow night and then we have got nicer weather to look forward to pleasant pair of days here wednesday and thursday, sunny
