size hail, the very front end of the loop there. but you will see more like that throughout the day. take a look at visibility, like just saying, now, at this point at philadelphia international airport, under a mile. half mile in wilmington. might as well be nice clear sky in a milville and a.c. airport or out in dover. right before your very eyes see the values change. these are live observations obviously, so as the new hours worth of information comes in, you'll see that number change. looking here, i want you to focus on couple of things, temperature on the left hand column there, very mild start to the day. notice, the wind direction, as well. a lot of that wind coming in from the east. it is on shore in other words. i think that holds us back from really charging forward with very mild daytime highs. sixty-four in the city still mild. but scaling that back from our original predictions here, just because of the on shore wind flow that's probably going to help limit things. meantime in the low or upper 50's, at the shore, the pocono region, and everybody, meisha, fair game for scattered shower or they have i -- heavy thunderstorms.

>> great to know. thanks so much, katie. outside, birdseye view of the vine and 956789 you can see how busy it is starting to get now. coming off the ben franklin bridge there, also 422 headlight moving in the eastbound direction past observation, another area that's starting to build levels as well. but dow want to pull your attention to more serious accidents, one of the only accidents we've had this morning, route one southbound southampton road. the inner drive is blocked right now because of that accident. so you are going to start slowing down quite considerably, fairly quickly now that we cracked into the 6:00 hour. take the outer drive. inner driver completely blocked. see how this progresses, but just heads up, route one southbound going to get -- start to get slow around the area, i would give yourselves walking out the door in the area right now give yourself extra 15, 20 minute at minimum. also, tree trimming going on, scutters falls bridge southbound one lane open until 6:00 a.m. then construction 295 southbound the ramp to route one southbound, that's close the until around 7:00 a.m. on friday.

will hold with us all week long, 896 corporate boulevard, inner mitt end closures there, until right about now. so this should be lifting sometime soon. of course, i'll confirm as soon as it does, jim, rahel, over to you. >> thank you so much, meisha. breaking overnight shooting leaves father in critical condition after he confronts his son's suspected robber. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in west philadelphia, with more on what happened here. >> rahel, jim, police tell thus man is in critical condition at presbyterian hospital, though he is expected to survive. fortunately, for him, officers were patrolling around this area, you heard the gunshot, they rushed here, and were able to get him to the hospital very quickly. take a look at the video from the scene overnight. shooting happened on the 6100 block of market street, around 2:00 a.m. police say 15 year old boy went home and told his father that someone robbed him of $40 at the intersection of 62nd and market, just after midnight. thirty-seven year old father then reportedly went back to the intersection, to confront the robber.

that's when the man pulled out a gun, and shot him twice in the face. officers then rushed the man to presbyterian hospital but the shooter ran off. not before leaving behind plenty of evidence. >> we found numerous spent shell casings from a sim automatic gun, at the intersection of robinson and market streets. >> and police cameras did capture the shooter running north on 62nd street. investigators say there were also many witnesses out here, describe the shooter as wearing blue or dark colored shooting five-nine, about 140-150-pound, but for now live in west philly, trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> trang, thank you. >> well, in other news this morning, police are investigating a shooting in northern liberties that temporarily shutdown several exits on i-95. this happened just after 6:00 last night. witnesses say they heard gunshot, along the 500 block of north front street. one woman who works at a

gentleman's club nearby was getting in her car when it was struck by gunfire. police believe the shooter was in a nearby apartment complex. chopper three was overhead, as swat teams searched the building but they came up empty. >> meanwhile, a truck smashes through the side after home in bucks county. chopper three over the scene on heart wood road in levittown last night. police say the 45 year old driver of the truck suffered a medical emergency, and lost control of the vehicle. i was taken to the hospital. no word on his condition. >> police this morning looking for more potential victims after a former philadelphia doctor is charged with hacking the personal accounts of more than two dozen women. investigators say 29 year old peter grossman gained access to the password protected accounts of 25 women and made digital copies of more than 2,000 photos. all of the women are former classmate every grossman's at delran high school in burlington county. very few of the photos he allegedly saved were explicit, leaving people to wonder what his motives were? like i don't understand why you would do it?ense

to me if you're going to hack something, i would think you would be hack ago bank account or something not facebook for pictures. >> investigators say the personal accounts had passwords that were apparently easy to determine through public information on social media. so far police have identified only 12 of the 25 victims. >> restoration work begins today to fix all of those damaged headstones at mount carmel cemetery in wissinoming. vandals knocked over mower than 100 headstones back in february. since then people donated more than $200,000 to help pay for the repairsment conservation expert will head lead the restoration along with the national park service, it is expected to take two weeks. still no arrests in the case. >> president trump will visit epa headquarters in washington today expected to sign another controversial executive order. the development comes as questions about russia continue to dog the president's administration, here's hena daniels. >> president trump took to social media monday, suggesting the house intelligence committee investigate bill and hillary

last few hours. some low-lying cloud cover granted a lot of boi at the moment there is batch of rain about ready to move it way already. in fact moving into southwestern lancaster county, that's going to overtake the rest of the region with time. as will other pockets of showers or thunderstorms. and it is all bus that far larger system, it is a relatively weak storm, but it is still pack ago lot of moisture. and that's going to help a lot of these showers and thunderstorms to drench us throughout the rest of the day. now, to 10:00 a.m., future weather here, granted it is mold. it is not necessarily meaning that you are going to see the pocket in the exact location as predicted here, but it is a good guide. what you find here is heavier rainfall intensity within any pockets of showers or thunderstorms throughout the day. some of these storms could be locally feisty. when say that, i mean, could you see small size hail, definitely ends up with gusty wind out of the strongest storm cells, but overall i would say keep the umbrella behind, also get drenched with this moisture content. later tonight it is beginning to wine down. we do start to clear things out. but for now, expect that showers and thunderstorms will

be around. really any time. i held our daytime high back to 64 because of the on shore wind flow, i think deal breaker for us to get up to 70 like we had once reported so that's where that is coming from, 46 degrees tonight with shower or thunderstorm still out there. then looking forward in the eyewitness weather seven day, high pressure regaining control for wednesday and thursday. so, some very nice days coming up. friday though already another storm is here, meisha. >> all right, katie, thank you so much. and a very good morning, happy tuesday to you. looking outside right now, 959 south at cottman, starting to build levels. this is the reoccurring theme since pushing toward the 6:00, give yourselves extra time, visibility will play issue today. just like it was yesterday. roadways aren't as wet in some places that we're looking at but will be, in other places, so overall i would just say leave your homes little early. just like you had to yesterday. that will pay you dividends, trust me on this. starting to build levels like i said on 95. also, the schuylkill, take a look at how slow moving the schuylkill is right now,

did i radiation this summer for six weeks. i've been here for six weeks. >> carly's treatments, at children's hospital of philadelphia, mean leaving her northern virginia home for long periods of time. the ronald mcdonald house has been the often family home away from home. >> it has really been just a refuge from the storm that we've had to deal with. >> but carly's dad, andy knows that refuge may not always be there when all of the rooms at the ronald mcdonald house are filled there. were times when they had to stay in a hotel. >> how hard financially that was for us. i mean, to put thousands of dollars on credit cards, that you don't see a way you can pay off. >> as the growing number of families come to philadelphia, for the best pediatric treatment in the united states, we were tracking those numbers, and we new that the need was going to grow. and right now, four out of five families do not get in on their first night of request. but we are serving still thousands and thousands of

families. we just want to be able to serve everyone. >> right now the philadelphia ronald mcdonald house has 45 guest rooms, but they're making room for more. construction on a new eight story addition is underway. when it is completed, they'll be rooms for 127 families, every night. >> we're so excited at the prospect of knowing we're right around the corner to being able to open a new tower. >> while the original house helps some 800 families annually, the expanded house will more than double that number, and is expected to be mover in ready by the end of 2018. for carly and her family, their goal is even closer. >> they're radiating all of the metastatic areas, and hoping by the end every march we'll be done with the treatments. >> i can come here, continue my normal life. >> a life full of making beautiful music. >> and you know i always love looking into history. believe it or not, that house,

showers, also definitely going to see some thunderstorms on the area radar throughout the day. not a wash out, rather, if you get stuck under one of the cells could you get drenched. so i still say take the umbrella. meantime looking area temperature change over the last 24 hours, only place where you have a deficit is millville. but generally it is a lot milder by comparison to this same time yesterday. as that translates to the thermometer, at 50 degrees in philly. fifty-one atlantic city, 46 in mount pocono. and more of an on shore win flow. so i don't think that we break out of the mid 60s, throughout the day, but that's still above average. although again also still unsettled with scattered showers and thunder storms, which could be locally gusty or drenching at really any time. meisha? >> all right, katie, thank you so much for that. and good morning to you, happy tuesday. so, your commute right now, looking busy. particularly looking blue route, taillights southbound direction. either way southbound, northbound, doesn't matter on the blue route. you're getting busy. a lot of you will be headed out little earlier today like

you were yesterday. because the visibility, the fog out there, maybe in some of the areas that you're in, it will be wet out there, as well. this is going to slow you down, this slowed you down yesterday, big time, it will slow you don't again today. so if i were you, factor in a into your morning commute plans, head out the door early, those every in you jersey, two northbound, approaching 295, what you are working with, moving in the northbound direction, just a sea of headlights out there. i can tell you right now, in most places, you're starting to slow down just a little bit slower than posted speeds, if not a lot on the schuylkill at the boulevard, westbound, direction, i can tell you right now, bumper to bumper there. then accident here, roosevelt boulevard southbound at southampton road. inner drive blocked. there is another area that will start to slow you down now, rahel, over to you. >> meisha, thank you. breaking this morning, father is in critical condition after being shot for confronting his son's robber. >> this happened on the 6100 block of market street just after 2:30 this morning. investigators say the victim's son was robbed around midnight near 62nd and market, when the father went to confront the suspected robber, officials

say he was shot twice in the face, police do expect that father to survive. to philadelphia laudromat owner will not face charges after police say he shot man who robbed his store as well as an innocent bystander. take a look at the surveillance video from north fifth street sunday afternoon. you can clearly see the laudromat owner, chasing the suspect, who tosses the monday in the air. shot him twice in the chest and in the chaos also shot innocent bystander in the hand. >> the store owner was engaged, the male actually turned around, they believe the individual had something in his hand, either knife or a gun. >> it turns out the suspect did not have a weapon. he was last list in the critical condition and is facing charges, police say they may also charge the people who grabbed the money off the sidewalk. >> police and osha investigating the death of construction worker in cheltenham township happened at the old wells fargo bang in cheltenham. thirty-five year old jonathan mouse was moving large safety deposit box when it fell on

him, crushing him underneath. he was pronounced dead at the scene. philadelphia police believe two teenagers may be responsible for vandalizing the same synogogue multiple times. now over the weekends police say a rock was thrown through a stained glass window at the temple menorrah on 4300 block of tyson avenue. it is the third similar incident at the mayfair synogogue since december. now, investigators say, two teens seen on surveillance video could be linked to all three incident. >> just seems to be two kids, someone riding a bike, and they stop, and they get the rocks from where they get them. and they start hauling rocks and flea. >> investigators do not believe the recent act was a hate crime. the teenagers face possible charges every vandalism for all three incident. attorney general jeff sessions has issued a warning to philadelphia and other sanctuary cities. he says they could lose federal funding for refuse to go cooperate with immigration authorities. >> we intend to use all of the

youngsters to watch guys like mikhail from the tigers, batting champion, one of the best ever, mike trout here from this area, another guy who people know well, and chase utley watch about those guys do you look at and say those are players that we need to watch? >> i think for the most part consistency. they're very consistent in what they do. very consistent squaring up the baseball, swinging at their pitch, little wasted movement in their swaning, not a lot of movement. very simple compact to the ball direct to the ball. again, consistency is the biggest key for me with all three of those guys. >> now what i love the most, not just a hitting coach. i mean, you are -- you're a mental coach just as much as anything, baseball, and so much a mental game. does it gel little tricky dealing with players in both teaching them how to hit that thing and also what's going on inside their head? >> certainly. as coach you have to be necessary recall. you want to be individual in your language, and the way that you speak to them, and the words you use, that kind of stuff. because everybody is a individual.
