accidents this morning. >> thankfully. >> we are expect to go see skies clear out nicely here, visibility has been a problem for past few mornings, rain is a big problem for part of the morning drive yesterday but now, it is clear, or we are clearing. we will continue to see cloud break as day progresses for more and more sunshine which will be a welcomed sight at this point. even though it has only been two days worth of glummy skies it feels like an eternity sometimes since we were just getting started with the week here. now that we are hitting wednesday things are clearing out. we have high pressure for at least two days, before the next system gets here. that storm makes its departure and as it goes, bye-bye we will see temperature rebound to 5 degrees with high pressure in place. more sunshine as well. dew points are lower then they were. even same time yesterday. they look like they are close to the actual air temperature, 42-degree dew point in philly, verse 49-degree air temperature in philadelphia it is kind of close.

at an unnamed sanctuary. jim, thank you. it is national an easy process but work continues to restore grave stones vandal ized at jewish cemetery in philadelphia "eyewitness news" reporter trang do is live, in wissonoming with more , good morning, trang do. >> reporter: good morning, rahel and jim, rained all day, hampered crews efforts but they still managed to restore 25 headstones, today they are working and continues over next two weeks, weather permitting. about a month after a man visiting loved won discovered upward of 100 headstones broken or knocked over, in mount carmel jewish cemetery, craftsman began repairing damage that was done. >> our hope is to over the next couple of weeks, be able to restore a few hundred grave stones. >> reporter: response to the vandalism has been swift, in the days, weeks, following the discovery, some 300 people rolled up their sleeves to clean up the cemetery. jewish federation of the

greater philadelphia went on to raise 220 you this dollars to fund restoration. >> it has been a incredible outpouring by the whole community of love, generosity and we have had a lot of people coming out and lend their hand to help us, clean, and mass this cemetery. >> let's go, they were down, they were knocked over by vandals. >> reporter: conservation expert joe, with grave stone matters cemetery preservation and national park service are leading the effort which will include repairing fencing and installing additional lighting members of the bricklayers anal identify craft workers local one are also donating their time. >> we will be done in a matter of probably an hour or so by a few vandals will take hundreds of hours of skilled labor to redue. it is just so needless. >> reporter: meanwhile, police have yet to make any arrest ness this case but a $74,000 reward for information

, still stand, but for now we are live from wissonoming i'm trang do, cbs-3 "eyewitness news", rahel and jim, back to you. >> thank you, trang do. police charged caretaker after toddler was found dead in west oak lane last week this is suspect, jadeeyane smith, concealing a death of the child and abuse of the corpse. two-year old a seem jones was found unresponsive in the 7100 block of north 15th street. there is no word on the toddler's cause of death. new jersey governor chris christie is heading to washington td contractor he and president trump will host a opioid round table discussion this comes as christie refuses to confirm or deny rumors that he has been selected to lead a national effort to combat opioid abuse. christie promised to dedicate his final year as new jersey governor to fighting the opioid epidemic. last mow signed legislation limiting first time opioid prescriptions and requiring that insurance covers six months of substance abuse

treatment. happening today, two former aid to christie are scheduled to be sentenced in the bridge gate scandal. bridget kelly and bill baroni were convicted last year on conspiracy and other charges. prosecutors say that they closed lanes on the george washington bridge, in retribution for north jersey mayor's refusal tone doors christie for reelection. kelly and baroni face 46 months in prison but they filed paperwork requesting probation. lawyers for bill cosby don't want jurors to hear that cosby gave woman drugs, money or educational fund. judge has ruled most of those women can't testify, at cosby 's june trial, and now his lawyers don't want cosby's deposition allowed either. judge is considering the request, and the 78 year-old comedian has pleaded not guilty to charges he drugged and molested a temple employee in 2004. philadelphia district attorney seth williams could have his bail revoked unless he find a new lawyer to defend him against corruption charges by this friday. williams current lawyer michael diamondstein is

seeking to withdraw over concerns that williams can't pay him. judge however, has ordered that diamondstein remain on the case at least for the moment. this is audio obtained exclusively for cbs-3 from yesterday's hearing. >> you signed on to dot case. i don't have any basis as i see it right now to recommend to judge diamond that you should aloud to withdraw. >> i'm only telling the court that my client has no fund for his case and investigation. >> prosecutors have no objection to diamondstein leaving the case. williams has said he should have another attorney by friday. well, a line of severe storms moved through parts of the texas spawning tornadoes including this one, look at the size of this. this one touched down in the town of ovoka and stayed on the ground for a while. there is no reports of damage or injuries. the same cannot be said about another twister nearby three storm chasers died yesterday. >> corresponderd read binjohn has details including a interview with one of the victims recorded just weeks

before the fatal crash. >> reporter: about 50/50, some people say you are crazy, other half says i will go with us. >> reporter: storm chaser kelly williamson, talking about the risk and reward. >> every storm has got something about its own personality, it is just like a person. >> reporter: that profession proving deadly tuesday, he was within of the three storm chasers killed in the crash pursuing tornado in texas. police say it happened when a black suburban driven by williams, stopped by a stop sign and collided with a jeep driven by another storm chaser williamson his passenger and driver of the jeep were pronounced dead at the scene. while tornado itself may not have caused the accident, severe weather had been sweeping the area. >> fog, heavy rain, there was a tornado spotted just a few miles west of here. >> reporter: slippery road and low visibility may be, but storm chasing's biggest hazard according to williamson was one that he highlighted in a interview just weeks before his death. >> the biggest danger out is

welcome back to "eyewitness news". >> authorities have launched investigation after a plane burst into flames in the airport. this was at an airport in the andes yesterday. passengers were rushed off

that plane and had apparently just landed from lima. local media reports that the plane's right wing broke which started fire but thankfully no one was hurt. >> staying in peru a baby girl rescued from the home completely under water. relentless rain, continues to torment that country, nearly 100 people died as a result of flooding, peru army shot this video as they rescued a family of five including two children peru's emergency management agency issued flood warnings for various rivers in that area. well, the cyclone that tore through northern australia has been downgraded to a former tropical weather system this morning we are getting a look at destruction it left behind. both were washed up on beaches , trees uprooted and power lines, snapped across the coastal state of queens land. cyclone debbie was category four storm when it slammed island early yesterday with wind of 160 miles an hour. >> we're always complaining about the rain, the rain, and you know, wind, and stuff like that we have a lot to be fortunate about. this stuff does not happen a

lot around here. >> we have our own hurricane season that is still a couple months away, right but yeah, by comparison, what is going on couple states away will be sheltered, in regard, to a comparison, sake anyway looking at what some other folks across the you had has to deal with for the rest of the week. not just in the form of the large storm system a sluggish one at that. we will talk about our weather , right now, and as you walk outside the door. clearing out nicely, and it looks, it looks almost like there is a sheen on the roadway but at this point things have dried out. it is just glare of the pavement that is playing a trick on us. everything is dry at this point. we will see that throughout the course of the day. lets look at storm scan next. things beginning to clear out. do you see breaks in the cloud that show up over the loop and that is high pressure taking back control, so same thing with the air when it comes to areas of high pressure. that means cloud get scoured out. here's storm system producing major, weather across these areas, kansas, nebraska, down

into texas. look at this line, boeing out, wind driven line of severe wet 's cross dallas and heading close to houston at this point too but this storm is going to entry hit us with time. let's track this very slow storm. notice future weather we are jumping to midnight tomorrow. it is still, only, over the plane states and that point moving in the midwest. because it is so slow it will have ample opportunity to drench our region but wind get through thursday without a hitch, even by 5:00 p.m. sunnies still shining here by thursday, late night, there may be a few showers and there is a good possibility that we will get into 8:00 a.m. friday we will get through our morning commute without any wet weather. it will be mid to late day that this starts to, drench the region, and i would still walk out with an umbrella out throughout the day because 3:00 p.m. you have soaking rain here. this is next storm system in the pipeline affecting us friday into maybe as late as
