sglafrjts church retreat ends in tragedy, investigators trying to figure out what led to this deadly wreck >> an alarming discovery, a loaded gun and nothing are found in a local middle school. who police say brought the weapon into the building. >> stories coming up. we begin with a developing story, an officer dragged by a van if southwest philly. i'm ukee washington >> i'm nicole brewer. police rushed to 56th and when it were with. when officers tried to intervened the officers backed up to a gray minivan. the officer then opened fire. the suspect drove off and left the van at island avenue in lindbergh boulevard. police continued to search and the woman involved in that domestic dispute. the officer is recovering with minor injuries. an assistants is under arrest and facing charges for bringing a loaded gun to a school in delaware county. the discovery was made after a bullet was found in a bathroom

at drexel hill middle school. "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff is live with more on this alarming incident. >> reporter: this a large school and as you mentioned the suspects was working alongside an eighth grade special needs student, which is a nightmare when you include a gun and 40 rounds of ammunition >> this guy is armed for war fair >> not what a parent wants to hear about a person working inside a middle school >> to go into a school with 12, 1300 kids and have 40 glock and 45, 46, rounds of ammunition is absolutely insane. >> reporter: around 12:30 p.m. a bullet was found in a bathroom at drexel hill. as the matter was being discussed. 32-year-old dominique jordan approached to claim the bullet. he had been at the school six weeks workses a an independent

aid for a student with special needs. after claiming the bullet, jordan turned over a portion of over 40 rounds of ammunition he was carrying. >> they asked him what do you have in the backpack because he was carrying the backpack. he said nothing. he said do you mind if i search >> they said you can't and the officers searched for their safety and gun they found was .40 caliber glock >> jordan has a permit to carry but that does not apply to schools. he's been charged with possessing a weapon on school property. but i did have a question. if jordan hadn't come forward according to police asking for the bullet back, how would police quickly have been able to determine its owner >> how would you have been >> we wouldn't. we want wouldn't. i mean, i guess he was concern about his bullet. his hollow point .40 caliber bullet. >> reporter: it is important to note that jordan was not an employee of the school district but a private company called staffing plus. he has no criminal history.

"eyewitness news" undercovers in details in a double murder. the revelations comes as the man who found his wife and young son stabbed to death is speaking out. david spunt is in maple shade right now with what we have learned tonight. david? >> reporter: ukee, this is such a sad story, no arrests the funeral for mother and son is set to be in india in the next few days, authorities say that husband can travel to india because he is not charged with any crime. >> 38-year-old salsa and her 6-year-old son anish were stabbed to death last week. he came home to find them. police spent almost 24 hours on scene. a source involved in the investigation confirms to "eyewitness news" he was involved in a relationship with another woman as of last week. but he has a strong alibi during the time of the murder. no one came to the door

wednesday afternoon. the bodies were autopsied and released to a funeral home in north jersey where naro is believed to be. he gave an interview to an indian youtube channel where he expressed shock and sorrow over the murders. >> the story has gained international attention with a strong focus in india, the location of the funeral. in a statement, a spokesman way burlington county prosecutor's office told "eyewitness news" quote, he has not been charged with a crime, his movements are not restricted in any way by the criminal justice system. neighbors are concerned. >> we're in shock. we're nervous and we just want to know who did that. >> neighbor dexter stevenson lives across the street and said the silence of last thursday sticks out in his mind >> there was no noise, it was normal night. i don't have television. it was perfectly quiet in my house. absolutely nothing. >> reporter: authorities have

said he's not been charged were with a crime but they do not say if he was a suspect. they won't comment about suspects. the burlington county prosecutor's office is handling this case. if you have information, give them a call immediately. they want to get this solved. reporting live in maple shade, david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> thank you philadelphia police have arrested a teenager accused of vandalizing a mayfair synagogue, they say a 14-year-old threw rocks and shattered windshields at. it has been vandalized four times at least last weekend. 12 people are dead. the bus was returning from a three-day retreat. three other people were hurt, including the driver of the pickup. police are trying to figure out what caused the crash aids with mayor nutter's administration are accused of

making $220,000 in questionable purchases. they were outlined in a new report on an investigation into the city's non-profit mayor's fund, which is now been forwarded to law enforcement agencies. some of the biggest alleged expenses included about $60,000 at the downtown marriott, more than $10,000 at the rome hotel, about $8700 in uber rides and $6500 to us airways. >> there are thousands of dollars in pretty expensive meals. in fact, liquor bills. which is another before you know r wrinkle. >> reporter: michael nutter has been asked to pay back $22,000, money allegedly used to fund a farewell party. the fund of former executive director is challenged over her use of credit cards according to that report. camden new jersey will elect a new leader this fall.

mayor dana red will not seek a third term. she made the announcement outside city hall. she led the city since 2010, she's credited with helping to bring 2 billion dollars in economic investment to the city, reshaping the police department and school system. it's time to take the next step in her journey. >> i kept my promise to our beloved camden. now, it is time for me to keep my new promise to my family who have patiently put up with my long hours and my attending one function after the next. >> mayor redd did not rule out running for office in the future a judge sentenced two former aids to governor chris christie to prison time in connection with the new jersey bridgegate case. bill baroni two years behind bars and kelly 18 months, it was an outrageous display of power.

clear conditions, cool, clear, crisp night. beautiful night following on the heels of a beautiful day, tomorrow looks great as well. you're going to start to see clouds filtering in as the next system approach, not much in the way of cloud cover outside on stormscan 3, everything is looking good. temperatures starting to drop. it's a little bit chilly not too bad but through overnight we'll see temps drop into the 30's in some spots. it's 49 in the city, 42 in allentown and 32 for folks in the poconos region. that's one area that may have to worry about freezing rain or wintery mix tomorrow night into friday morning as the next storm approaches. the rest of us is just rain, as far as march calendar, we're seeing that back and forth continuing, we have a few days above average, few below average. we've been back and forth up and down every day on up side five degrees above average with highs in the low 60's, here is our next storm. at large potent storm, it's

lifting in from the south bringing in a lot of moisture from the gulf of mexico. large precipitation shield not moving quickly. this will be a long duration event for us through the entire day friday and possibly even hanging around for saturday morning. as far as tonight is concerned, skies are clear, tomorrow mostly sunny but notice a few clouds going to start to drift in. wouldn't be surprised if it turns cloudy by mid afternoon. the sun breaking out here and there but tomorrow we'll start to see the first batch of shower, this time tomorrow we could see a couple of showers moving in. this is just kind of the precurseer to the main event. it's really all day friday this heavy rain will be impacting us and heavy snow. 10:00 a.m. the heaviest rain off to the west but all day after that from 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, we see very heavy downpours, the yellow shading over philadelphia, friday evening looks like rough one with pond -- this continues to 11:00

friday before we finally start to see the storm wrap up and get out. saturday starts with clouds and possibly a shower and the clouds start to break up a bit by saturday afternoon, we may see sun to finish out the day. we're looking at one to two inches. this particular run of this model has two plus inch amounts over the course of 12 to 18 hour, we are -- we're not talking about flash flooding but we will be talking about ponding and poor drainage flooding as one to two inches falls over 18 hour, slow commutes friday, especially that friday afternoon. overnight hour, 36 tomorrow calm before the storm mostly sunny few high clouds in the afternoon, high 54 but friday is a deluge and with rain it's going to stay stuck in the 40's, a cold raw wet and miserable day. saturday will slowly clear out. sunday and monday look great. and then another rain maker approaches by next tuesday.
