bananas, bananas. we have stuff to talk b let's just go right on out to storm scan. that's where we turn our focus immediately where we do still have soaking rain specific though to eastern new jersey, and now, southern new castle county, actually most of new castle county enveloped in the rain. so one real heavy round over the city already. that's left behind stuff to drain away, which is going to have tough time doing that before the next round get here. you can see that soaking rain already moving in now into western pa, again, through the virginias, this will slide our way. so with time that radar will fill right back in again. what dreary start to the morning though outside in our live neighborhood network, boardwalk plaza in rehoboth. obviously rainy scene. not a lot of shaking going on in the camera. winds isn't horrible. but even though sussex county delaware not included it is worth a mention. coastal flood advisory will take effect late tonight for ocean monmouth county. maybe going to up new york city or something like that for the weekend you will have coastal flood to go worry about up that way too. meanwhile up ahead for the rest of today, just rain.

any time, anywhere, heaviest coming, though, through the afternoon and evening. so, again, the heaviest hasn't even gotten here yet. we already have our fair share of problems to contend with this morning. so, i think in short, meisha, the rule of thumb is to pack your patience, hopefully set the alarm little extra early, you will need that buffer of time. >> yep, yes, absolutely, you will. make no mistake, even on a friday, even though i know it is lighter travel day, like katie said you will need the extra time. i can't stress it enough. even in the 5:00 hour, take a look how busy the vine is already looking, especially moving in the eastbound direction. westbound side actually looking okay. as you head toward the schuylkill, eastbound side you're certainly starting to build levels. you're also building levels take a lock at the boulevard pushing southbound again for a friday at 5:30, you guys, still dark and early. this is one area right now that is going to get very, very busy, if you head toward the schuylkill. once you jump on the schuylkill around the boulevard, and around city avenue, it will be, i mean, you know, it will be -- it will be bonkers zero there.

looking at the schuylkill, eastbound at girard, looking right there, so for those every you headed out the doorway, kind of see the company that you'll be accompanying out there right now. ninety-five headlight moving in the southbound direction at girard, one area, nine # five, moving in the southbound direction, that was a mess, yesterday, not quite sure why, actually the driving conditions actually okay. but it is already heating up now. a lot of people probably thinking that they need to get out there early and they would be correct. a lot more to talk about when we come back in the next ten minute, rahel, jim, back to you. >> thank you. new report shows a rise in the u.s. in the number of pedestrian fatalities. >> trang do looking into what is causing the spike in numbers. she's live in center city this morning. good morning, trang, what can you tell us? >> good morning, jim, rahel. philadelphia was recently named the fourth most walkable city, with more and more cities striving to become more walkable, pedestrian deaths are just souring. 2016 saw the highest number, in 20 years. >> it is a heavy thing to be

alive when your child is dead. >> casey feldman's dreams of becoming a reporter were cut tragically short by a distracted driver in 2009. the 21 year old from springfield, delaware county, was hit and killed in a crosswalk on her way to a waitressing job on the ocean city boardwalk. >> it is incomprehensible to me sometimes to think that other families are going through what we're going through. there are thousands and thousands of families doing that. >> since her death the number of pedestrians dying has sky rocketed, 22% in just the last few years. 2016 the highest number in decade at nearly 6,000. >> people have forgot tone look both ways, they're too busy looking at their phones. >> cbs news recently spoke with jonathan atkins of the governor highway safety association. atkins says the problem not only lies with distracted drivers, but distracted wack walkers, as well. alcohol was also major factor.

day. so here you go. we had one heavy rain, heavy rounds i should say, already moved through. it is still out there across the coastal areas, parts of new castle county, but storm scan is going to be lit up like a christmas tree. pretty much all day here today. even though it looks like you have got little bit of lull. we are getting reports from folks that you are still finding some rain out there even if it isn't actually showing up on radar. so there is a flood watch to tell you about that will take effect at noon. so just getting started folks. flood watch doesn't take effect until noon for pockets of heavy rain, locally up to three, possibly, in some spots, even 4 inches every rain, this is all day event, so elevated creeks, streams, and certainly ponding on roads and very very slow travel to watch out for. >> eyewitness weather watch ers reporting this morning quite a bit of consistency going on here when it comes to temperatures reading. we start things off snack dab in the center of the map. chesterfield, ed reporting brief break in the action here. he does have a lull. hoping it lasts, sorry, it does not look like -- actually

most of the day here, actually ending up very, very soggy. so sorry to report that guys. i know not the way you want to rounds out your work week, but at least the work week around the corner. thirty-nine from john with a little rain to report. to one more we go, up in the poconos. it is 35 at keith's house in sailors berg, actually reporting a break, as well, but did say he hasn't seen any ice. that's the other thing we have to mention here, the possibility that specific to the poconos, you see a little freezing rain specially in the highest elevations, but, maybe even a bit of sleet that mixing in with the temperature hovering close to freezing. ski report wraps up today. you can understand why. not applicable at jack frost, cam em back, blue mountain, resorts actually since closed for the season. still have weekends, though, up at big boulder, up to 40-inch base for you there, even despite the rain that's going to be moving through. so if you want to get in the final weekends every skiing at big boulder i think you will be able to do it as skies brighten up. for now just expect really

meeting mall, leggo land discovery center philadelphia. guys, the detail in this is incredible. it is ridiculous. 1.5 million leggo blocks were used to build mini land philadelphia, and you see the skyline built right in front of you, all in leggo form. so, come on over here, blaine, from leggo land, hey, how are you? >> good, how are you? >> i feel like a kid in here, man. this is amazing. >> i feel like a kid every day. yes, mini land philadelphia. like you said, it is made from over 1.5 million leggo bricks. the whole process from start to finish takes about six months, for a team of about 20 master model builders. >> this took six plus months to put together. >> absolutely, yes. >> so to gave you a example, liberty place, made from over 17,000 leggo bricks. >> okay. >> and took about 930 hours, 99 people for that. >> thirty hours? >> yes. >> i mean, we have pat's, jean he's, the kimmel center, we
