so that's the story line. >> pretty much s but we actually had really heavy rounds that rolled through overnight. when you see storm scan, what you see here, is departing now i do think there could be stray showers, see on the tail end of the radar loop here, there is some leftovers, but the bulk of the heavy rain, and we had expected this, is that at this point making it departure, that's some good news, right? we do, however, still have to contend with additional showers in scattered fashion for the rest of the day. this is all part of much larger storm, if you have been following this with us now for the last couple of days, the same storm that broke out with severe weather in the deep south. we're still not expecting severe weather here today. but, i do think you could end up with heavier thunderstorms again sort of like the popcorn variety, show up on the radar in scattered fashion, later today. so for now, yes, it felt mild. it certainly is. 60 degrees, at philadelphia international airport right now. so since we're off to such a warm start, we'll have no problem rebounding back to the low seven # zero's here today. of course, there is always a trade off when you have got

turnpike, one lane blocked there, also, more construction, 42 northbound at 676, right lane block, a lot of the right or left lane blockages will start to slow you down too being that the rain is kind of coming down little built, or you have wet roadways in some areas. between route 641 and route 42, route 55 northbound, and i'll let you know as soon as it clears. >> police continue to investigate deadly gunfire in north philadelphia that killed two people, injured two other, and forced nearby school into lockdown. >> the violence unfolds in the broad daylight on the corner of 11th and west trial street around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, authority say almost two dozen gunshots were fired at this apartment complex across the street from saint melaky school, two taken to the hospital, two died short time later. >> we believe someone came east from this location and started firing. one shooter, maybe two, started firing at the individuals. getting information there might have been a vehicle, gray suv at the top of the block that they may have after

the shooting went back to the vehicle and fled from the location. >> authorities believe the suspect and the victims new each other. one of the victims is in critical condition, the other is in critical but stable condition. the trial of eric frein the man accused of murdering pennsylvania state trooper scheduled to begin this morning, the trial will take place at the pike county courthouse in milford. frein is charged in the 2,014 ambush slaying of corporate brian dixon which also wounded trooper alex douglas. frein has pleaded not guilty. judge will allow prosecute tears use videotaped confession by frein. injury fry chester county was brought in to hear the case. there is no word on whether a judge will dion allowing certain evidence in bill cosby's sexual assault trial. prosecutors want the jury to see sealed document that contains cosby at mid the g to giving andrea constand and other women quaaludes, some as early as the 19 70s. prosecution also wants portion's of cosby's book, childhood used against him n that book cosby talked about using spanish flies to get women to like him.

defense team is asking why the to allow additional questions for perspective jurors. says the questionnaire will help determine whether jurors being selected from allegany county may be bias because of the international attention to the cosby case. >> and former d.a. lynn abraham and attorney richard spock filed lawsuit to remove district attorney seth williams from office. on friday, williams voluntarily suspended his license but he said he does plan to stay in office. last month as you may remember williams was indicted on charges of bribery annex portion. "kyw news radio" reports the da's office has declined to comment on the lawsuit. >> in other news, emergency repairs have shut down the bridge linking avalon to sea isle city. cape may county closed the towns lent inlet bridge avenge nears found crack under water in one of the peers that supports the bridge. bridge is shutdown indefinately. pennsylvania state police are looking for two men who allegedly through rocks and reinforcement steel at passing cars on the pennsylvania turnpike. this is the damage to one of

toast carls. it happened sunday afternoon near mile marker 337. that's near levittown. investigators say the men hurled the items from ground level while standing behind a concrete barrier by the westbound lanes. >> and a guy standing beside one of the concrete barriers with a rock, thrown it across the barrier, and he hit my windshield t could have killed me very easily. >> morons. six cars were damaged. police have vague description of the two men if caught and hopefully they will be they face criminal misdemeanor charge for propulsion every missiles. >> investigators are trying to pinpoint what sparked this fire that destroyed bucks county barn. chopper three over the 200 block every smith school road in bed minister township. fire officials tell "eyewitness news" the barn was loaded with hey, and embers spread to another structure. fortunately, no animals or people were hurt. >> this morning intelligence sources now believe they know who is responsible for yesterday's terrorist attack on russian subway in st.

and it is all caught on camera. here is the footage from saturday night at the third avenue el station in manhattan. watch as one man picks up another subway rider and bridges him to safety. good samaritan was on his way to work when he saw someone fall on the tracks, with no time to think he sprung into action. >> one thing i can completely say, i'm pretty confident about, if i didn't pick him up, that train would have got him. i always thought hey if i was the guy yes i would go down and help somebody. but whether it happens, kind of the moment of truth. >> bravo, jonathan. a train came just one minute after that rescue. it is still unclear how that man fell on to the tracks in the first place. >> well, two women in the philadelphia fire department have shattered another glass ceiling, they're the first to feel their high ranking positions. linda long is the first female fire battalion chief. she began her career as the paramedics, rise to go captain. she then left, then started over in the philadelphia firefighter academy. long is the first ever to be both a paramedic and firefighter. crystal yates is the city's first after can american

from our station head quarter here. looks like at least since traffic is still light, things are moving somewhat smoothly. meisha will have your update in a minute or two. but obviously wet outside. heaviest rain has thankfully since moved through. but it is out there. you can see right now that really big swat of rain that moved through. at least it had good timing. if you can say such a thing, came through overnight, fewer people on the road, a lot of us actually sleeping, will make its retreat off to the northeast. notice far from done from the stormment right now sitting in the warm sector it, means we will warm up east letter here today, but dodging some additional showers and thunderstorms. is it a wash snout absolutely not. but you'll find some additional showers and thunderstorms popping up throughout the afternoon, especially, when it comes to storms. so let's time this out. moving forward couple of hours, wrapping up the typical morning commute. really just left with damp, dreary, somewhat damp conditions, with these scattered showers, but the heavy stuff is pretty much done. then these popcorn thunderstorms we like to call them just after lunchtime

starting to fire up. none of these look severe. should be very scattered, spots that are actually going to stay dry, throughout the rest of the afternoon. but, as the day progresses here, this whole thing zips out of here. we're left with a clearing sky, which for wednesday, nice little break-in between systems, don't get too used to it, storm hereby thursday, likely does, in fact, bring us some stronger thunderstorms before we cool back down for the weekend, meisha? >> katie, thank you so much. coming up and down, but i mean, seven's today, can't argue with. that will good morning, happy tuesday. so what do we have going on? katie said yes, rain, wet roadways, all will slow you down, and it already is even though it is not in the 5:00 hour. so we have an accident here 95 south approaching cottman. it was a jackknife tractor-trailer, pulled all the way off to the far left side. you can see how slow moving it already is. as these travelers try to squeeze by there. this is one area that picks up the quickest, and is impacted, one of the most, if there is any wet roadways. so just a heads up if you are headed out 95 south

so katie was talking about that rain coming down, the wet roadways, we have it, already posting some problems for you. sock looking outside, 95, approaching cottman, see we do have an accident here, also have a jackknife tractor trailer in there. what's happening, is it is slowing everybody down, not only because of congestion levels starting to build, there but also gaper delays pushing everyone to the far right, and really slowing down as they pass this multiple vehicles involved, lot of flashing lights, wet roadways, that's what you are going to get. already not even in the 5:00 hour, already seeing some pretty significant slow downs around this area. so, if you are just thinking of headed out 95 south approaching cottman you want to give yourselves extra time even though it is still dark and early. but, dealing with retrod ways, that's what we get. also construction out there, mobile crew, 55 northbound, between 641 and route 42, they're going to be out there until 6:00 a.m. then also we have some construction in newtown, 59 north and south at 332, pulled off to the shoulder, a lot more to talk about coming up in the next ten to 15 minutes, jim, over to you.
