pop up showers and thunderstorms. meteorologist kate bilo is tracking storm chance and bigger threat later in the week, right kate. >> this pattern continues every couple days we have got another storm to worry about. this one really, packed its punch last night but we are under influence of the low pressure and see still a few scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm here or there it is most act i have cross central new york state, don't really have much in the way of thunder or lightening popping on storm scan three but a few scattered showers here and there they can come up quickly sun has been trying to come out this afternoon. you could be driving, sun shining and then few minutes later you are driving through a shower, perhaps an intense downpour. we have a couple over burlington county into ocean county right now. just a few sprinkles around the city. nothing major just yet and it looks like threat will diminish as we head toward, sundown tonight. in the meantime temperatures have really surged now that the sun has peaked out for between the cloud here this afternoon. seventy-two in philadelphia.

for drugs and other charges. still authorities say they are committed to finding the suspected shooters, and now, killer, and justice and two to prevent another reckless shoot ing from happening here. four people were shot, three of them now dead, two suspects , still on the loose, and philadelphia police are asking, anyone who saw what happened here, to talk. >> $60,000 reward, for anyone with any information leading to at rest and conviction of these individual. >> reporter: authorities putting up a substantial reward, $50,000 from the philadelphia police department , another $10,000 now from the cities housing authority. officials hoping that it helped catch the two shooters whose actions are being called bold, brazen, more importantly , reckless. >> broad daylight you have 25 round that were fired. that could have hit innocent kid, innocent person. >> reporter: broad daylight shooting happened just after 3:30 across the street from saint maliki's catholic school , there were no children

in northern liberties. from the fifth floor of an unfinished apartment mitchell allegedly shot at a car more than a football field away, woman associated with delilah 's gentlemen's club was getting in the car, and the bullets, missed by just a few inches. trial of the eric frein, man accused of murdering a pennsylvania state trooper, got underway today. trial is taking place in milford, pike county but jury is from chester county. frein's charge in the 2014ury ambush death of corporal brian dickson and wounding of trooper alex douglass. judge is allowing prosecutors to use a videotaped confession by frein, if convicted he could face the death penalty. frein has pleaded not guilty. a new jersey woman is facing potential hate crime charges after police say she attack a massachusetts man with the hammer. the alleged incident left the man face bloody, investigators say angela jones of newark approached him at a gas station off i-95 in virginia and began yelling as he fueled up his porsche. man says she bashed his boat and porsche with that hammer

when he tried to ignore her and then attacked him with the hammer. jones, who is black, is accused of using racial slurs during that attack. >> she had word with my wife, he called her a white bleep and then you fancy white women , spit in your face, whatever she saw in us she got mad at us and decide that had she would teach me a lesson i guess. >> massachusetts man and his wife were returning home from florida, as authorities planned to extradite jones back to virginia. a new jersey teenager is facing up to 15 years in prison after authorities say that he plotted to kill, pope frances, during his trip trip trip to philadelphia in 2015. prosecutors say that the 17 year-old from lindenwald pleaded guilty as an adult to attempting to provide material support for terrorist. according to authorities plot involved using a snipper to shoot the pope during a mass as well as explosive devices. the plot was foiled when authorities said the teen tried to recruit an fbi

employee as a snipper. meantime police arrested a 17 year-old in connection with the string of armed robberies in west philadelphia that took place over pennsylvania two weeks. investigators believed stewart is responsible for at least six robberies on market street corridor between 60th and 62nd street. investigators say stewart may also be connected to a homicide at 59th and larchwood march 26th, that is where 17 year-old was shot and killed. police arrested stewart, at 51st and park side, he is being charged as an adult. a bridge down the shore is closed for emergency repairs and it could remain off limits for a while. chopper three over towns end inlet bridge earlier to day it connects sea isle city and avalon and cape may county. monday engineers found a crack 30 feet below water in one of the peers that supports the bridge. they hope to have it fixed by memorial day. people in philadelphia are commemorating at as nation of the reverend doctor martin luther king, junior. he was assassinated in memphis

family expects nathan to make a full recovery. collinswood kindergarten teacher kathy keller suspected something was wrong last september. >> he stood alongside and he said his legs hurt and he didn't wanting to out and play >> reporter: kelly said nathan 's skin color was pale and didn't have much energy. she talk to patty butler, at the elementary school who immediately thought nathan's condition was beyond a cold or allergies. she implored nathan's mom to call to see a doctor right now >> his skin was translucent and that is when i said, nicole, it is nurse patty, please, i want to you see someone, i haven't seen someone in this color in 25 years prove me wrong. >> reporter: soon nathan was diagnosed with leukemia and began treatment at children's hospital of philadelphia while he has not been able to go back to school because his immune system is compromised he has a place in keller's class. other students sent him letters and video message toss thank nurse butler, they nominate heard for a contest

sky line. storm scan three shows why we are seeing them. we have some pop up showers. another thing that can happen when you get instability in the atmosphere especially if you get sun, showers like like to form. same process that creates pop up thunderstorms in the summertime. we are seeing scattered showers here and there over bucks, montgomery counties up toward lehigh valley and poconos as well. and thinks all part and parcel of the larger system same one that brought us heavy rain last night which is starting to exit producing snow across portions of maine. then we will shift focus to this guy our next storm system brewing here, the swirl of the cloud, rain, mountain and snow over portions of the deep south. this will be lifting our way by the end of the week and bringing mild air and then risk for reign and thunder. beautiful in cape may courthouse. deep blue sky. 73 degrees. temperatures sky rocketed this afternoon. we will be in the low to mid 70's this evening as well, and can't rule out that stray shower, otherwise, warm with sun peeking through cloud.
