about a lot of construction all morning. pa turnpike ramps to northeast extension, and westbound past valley forge right lane blocked. give yourself maybe extra time specially pushing toward our main hours of the rush hour. northeast extension between quakertown and lansdale, right lane blocked there. also mobile crew out there on route 55 northbound between 641 and route 42 until 6:00 a.m. talking about some fun stuff coming up in a little bit. >> thank you so much, meisha. in news, us carried out military action in retaliation for syria deadly chemicals weapons attack against civilians. the attack killed six people. >> the american missiles hit the government controlled shy rot airfields in central sewer crashes the syrian military planes that dropped the chemicals had taken off. video from the defense department shows it 60 tomahawk crews missiles, and the missiles reportedly hit their target at 8: 45 last night our time, that's 3:45 a.m. in syria. report from the syrian military says at least six

people were killed in the air strikes, also damaged over a dozen hangers, fuel depo, air defense space. announce the last night, president trump asked other countries to join him in the carnage in syria. >> tonight i call on all civilized nations to join us in seeking to end the slaughter and bloodshed in syria. and also to end terrorism of all kind and all times. >> meantime survivors of the chemical weapons attack in syria continue to cope with its aftermath more than zero eight people were killed, doctors and neighbors say many who fled have not yet returned out every fear of another attack. >> members of congress reacting to the air strife strike. chris coons, on the foreign relations committee, released this statement t reads in part while i'm encouraged the trump administration has felt compelled to act forcefully in syria against the assad regime, i'm gravely concerned

what our army hit was a place where they are making isis and these people are making the chemical weapons, and that's why it went back on the people. they were trying to target isis. >> secretary of state rex tillerson says there is no doubt from the information collected assad is responsible for the chemical attack. stay tuned for the military attack in syria. follow cbs news throughout the day or go on line at cbsphilly.com. back here at home, two men are robbed at gunpoint this morning, second after they stepped off a septa bus in the city's feltonville section. >> this happened just after midnight at the corner of north fourth street and wyoming avenue. one of the victims told police he and his friends had stopped at atm to get cash. that's when two gunmen approached the pair, robbed one of them of $250 and opened fire. >> after he handed over the $250, that's what his friend ran, and after handing over the money, the perpetrator

still fired two shots at the victim who was running, and he was shot one time in the back. >> police returned the victim to the hospital where he is in stable condition. police right now searching for the two suspects. >> clean up crews will be picking up the pieces today at building in montgomery county after large section of the roof is ripped off. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in west conshohocken with more on the damage after yesterday's storms, good morning, trang. >> reporter: well, good morning, jim, rahel. definitely scary moment for the nearly two dozen employees who were inside this building when the storm came through. take a look, this is where it happened. you can see from this vantage point where part of the roof was just kind of lifted up there. now, nobody was hurt, fortunately, but several cars in the parking lot were not as lucky. >> chopper three captured a bird's eye view of the materials technology company in west conshohocken. now, without a roof. a powerful storm moved through thursday, killing the roof off of one building and tossing it across the parking lot. it landed on top of one car,

and damaged several other. >> it just come straight on through, and i guess they were lucky that no one was injured at that time of day when people are usually coming out. i'm almost positive some of us here, there would be fatalities wherehe through. >> twenty-three employees were inside the building, all got out safely. around 4:00 p.m. a security guard reported seeing tornado touchdown over the building. but lou ru, a trained storm spotter for the national weather service, says it appear straight line winds were at work. >> the tornado hit, debris tossed in many different directions, in this case, all toss in the one direction. >> strong winds can proof just as dangerous as a tornado. over in new castle county delaware paramedics tike 50 year old woman and 17 year old winds toppled a tree onto their car as they waited at intersection during the storm. and back out here where you can see the damage to this building, employees do remain

on the job because there is a second building on this campus. meanwhile, the national weather service will have to do a survey here to determine if an actual tornado touched down. for now, liver from west conshohocken, trang do, cbs 3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> thank you, trang. >> new castle county police are investigate the abduction of four year old girl foundgton. eyewitnesses tell investigators they saw the four year old abducted by a sugar about 7:00 last nile plum court. police searching for the man and looking for surveillance video from the neighborhood or the park. >> school will be back in session today at gloucester county middle school, a day after student and staff were returned to the hospital with symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. officials say boiler exhaust fan failed at glassboro intermediate schooes io the building. thirty-seven student and three staff members were taken to the hospital. none were admitted. other student at the school were taken to nearby school until the situation was under

rollback in again. even though we're in the midst of nice clear sky. we're not out of the wood with the storm completely. but the worse, absolutely over. high pressure in fact will build back in for us come this weekend. you will notice, it is that classic comma shape that up get with the storms in our part of the world here. with the counter clockwise rotation, with the area of pressure, still sending in little moisture, will trickle couple every residual showers, any time you could see shower roll through, but nothing at all close to what we saw yesterday in the way of that really heavy rain. notice it has been cold enough though to produce some snow even across western pennsylvania, but it should be threat of cooler, but should be mild enough we just have to deal with stray shower here and there. now, again, we've been talking about the phillies here. and at 305, first pitc. definitely cooler, only at best talking low 50's throughout the rest of the day. it will be a little on the breezy side too. so if you are sitting specially shielded underneath the con course, that is

>> back on "eyewitness news" traffic safety officials in new jersey say the problem of distracted driving is getting worse. >> distracted anchors, big reason why traffic deaths increase by 8% last year. now, that raises the state-wide average, get this, to 12 traffic deaths per week. to fight the problem, new jersey state police will expands the pounds 77 aggressive driving hotline. you can use that hotline to report distracted driving. >> up to now, at least, trying to convince people it is unsafe, they shouldn't do it, has not really been enough.

and so we're trying to get creative, approach it from a different angle. >> now, officials warn drivers caught on their phones could be fined up to $400. hey jim, have you notice that gas prices slowly are creeping back up? >> i have. >> yes, prices at the p.m. been 30 sent per gallon more than last year, and could climb another 20 to 40 sent by the time we hit memorial day and the summer driving season. so here are the latest gas prices in our area. drivers in delaware paying average of 2.28 for gallon of regular, prices are few pennies higher in new jersey, and pennsylvania has the highest local prices at 2.57 a strike in syria also having an impact on oil prices. >> money watch's jill wagner joins us live this morning from the newexchge, good mornin. so financial markets are on edge following these air strikes. what can you tell>> y. the air strike creates a lot of sun turn at this in the global financial markets. also marks the p trump's policy overseas. so most european markets are trading lower, asian stock

>> welcome back everyone, things nice and clear at this point of the morning. even overhead, the clouds have really parted nicely. but our storm actually gone just yet. we still are going to have to see that wrap around moisture work its way through, the winds pick up, couple of showers along the way, i actually think you will in the the winds and the chill more than you will notice any left over wet weather. take a look at the moment, storm scan nice and clear. dow want to walk you through future weather. this will sort of reinforce the point. wall notice is that over the couple of hours leading up to 10:00 a.m., the clouds really build back in. so it may be clear now. but the clouds are really going to limit thatnd also, you have got more of a west to northwest wind flow picking up here to help trigger and feep te chill in place. now, again, any showers that moved through are very scattered, very spotty, so there is a chance that you don't see even one drop of rain here today. but, see here, to remember, it is going to be chilly. i definitely suggest having having walking out the door, won't be surprised if you see
