have to use an alternate. fifteenth or 18th will be your best bet to maneuver on that. then yes, tills the season for construction, out there, pa turnpike between willow grove, bensalem, left lane blocked, there another area on the pa turnpike between street road, right lane blocked, there but that's not t northeast extension, north and south between quakertown, lansdale, left lane blocked in that area. jim, rahel, back to you. >> there is trouble in center city this morning after sinkhole opens near hidden house square. >> hole has closed parts of 17th street and should be closed for awhile. trang do live there where repair work is expected to begin in just about an hour. good morning, trang. >> good morning, fortunately, right now, not whole lot of traffic in this area. but this could potentially cause some tie ups, as the morning rush goes on here. this is 17th street, between walnut and locust. you can see, the sinkhole is right here. and if you take a look at it, it is really not that big, about two, 3 feet. and but it could definitely cause some problems, if you walk over it, and you're not

paying attention, or even drive over it. definitely get your tires stuck in there. but let's take a look at video where you can see inside the sinkhole, water department spokesman says that this was caused by broken service line connection to one of the buildings here. and these service lines are much larger than what you see in residential neighborhoods, because of the size of the buildings here. now, this street has been closed off overnight. already, seeing, people getting frustrated with the closure. we actually saw one man lift one of the barricades, and just drive-thru this street, just in frustration. but over here, there are number every businesses here on the busy stretch of 17th street. little piece open over here, we talked to man who works there, he was talking about how he first noticed a hole open up thursday. take a listen. >> i come into work, i still have hope, so today i come in,

i come to see the block. good thing this block. so work can slow down. >> and again, taking a look at the sinkhole, it is really not that big, but it could potentially again cause a lot of problems. crews are expected back out here around 6:00 a.m. and the road will remain closed while crews make those repairs. no word on how long those repairs will take. but for now, live in rittenhouse square, trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," rahel, jim, back to you. >> trang, thank you. you said it. not a large sinkhole but doesn't take much to create traffic problems around there. thank you. >> in other news this morning, gun violence ends a man's life this morning in west philadelphia. police say the victim was shot at point blank range, just after 2:00 a.m. on the 4100 block of brown street. that's in the city belmont section. police found the victim lying in the street. investigators say they do believe the victim was the intended target. so far, no arrests have been made. >> secretary of state, rex tillerson, heads to moscow later today for much and at

this time path dollars sit down with the top diplomate. not schrat near putin himself. he head numerous talks, to discuss the issues from syria. >> secretary every state, rex tillerson, met again with g7 leaders in italy this morning as the us continues to press its allies to support the white house's strategy in syria. british foreign minister, borris johnson, who was involved in the talks monday, says plans could include new sanctions. >> what you've got here is the world coming together to try to support america in their response. >> since last week, missile's strike, administration officials publicly contradicted one another, in whether assad must go and on the possibility of more military action. on monday, white house press secretary, sean spicer, tried to clarify things. >> you gas a baby. if you put a barrel bomb in to innocent people, i think you can -- you will see a response

from this president. >> spicer later said his statement was not meant a policy change, but will act whenever in the national interest. >> this kind of war crime is unacceptable in the worlds today. >> republican senator john mccain says the us shouldn't wait for another gas attack to happen. he believes the russians new the syrians were using chemical weapons, because they were operating out of the same military base. >> clearly is a cooperation with russia and with syria together. >> the white house's downplaying associated press report that said the us has concluded russia had advanced knowledge of the chemical attack in syria. the us official tells cbs news us intelligence community has not reached concensus about that. roxanna, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." a san bernardino elementary school will remain closed the next new days, following a triple shooting monday. meantime the small community coming together to honor the lives lost.

>> ♪ >> ♪ >> a prayer vigil was held last night to remember 53 year old teacher karen smith, and 80 year old jonathan martinez, church members sang in their honor, city leaders also focused their prayers to the family. >> give courage to their hearts, give courage to each of our hearts. and those are things we need tonight. >> another student who has not been identified is now recovering, the shooting happened yesterday morning, police say, 53 year old cedric anderson enters his wife's classroom, opened fire, killing her before taking his own life. authorities say the estranged couple had only been married for a few months. >> accusations of cruelty to his own children have put montgomery county man behind bars. lower providence township police say joseph myre abused his two children, ages 11, 13, inside the family collegeville home. investigators say the children told them that their father shocked them with an electric dog collar and forced them to

sleep in smallwood end boxes with air holes. the children told police the abuse at the hands of their father went on for years. >> these are absolutely haneous charges, in a area where we, are we are not accustom to anything like this by any means. and when it does happen, it shocks our conscious. you know, everybody else involved. >> now, a judge set bail for myre at $1 million. charges against him include 12 counts of aggravated assault. two former aids to new jersey governor chris christie say they will appeal their convictions in the so-called bridgegate trial. former deputy chief of staff bridget kelly and former port authority executive bill baroni, prison terms, accused of closing lanes on the george washington bridge to create traffic jams. both kellie anbar own i remain free while they pursue their appeals. >> closing arguments are set for today in the trial of three high school student in the death of 16 year old classmate, amy joyner francis.

the other passengers are chiming in on who should get the blame. >> airport security officers dragged a man from his seat, after the airline chose him to give it up. and he refused to budget. one passenger says the man somehow re boarded and was taken offer again. this time, on a stretcher. >> initially dragged him off, as you guys saw, and it was ten minute later, he just comes running back in. and runs to the back, his face is bloody, and clinics on to the post in the back just saying i got to go home. i need to go home. i need to go home. and it wasn't until like 30, 452nd later until authorities followed him. >> another passenger says the officers did not need to use force. >> i don't know why they did that. i'm still bewildered. >> passenger doyle davis blames the airline saying it put the officers in a difficult spot.

>> i don't believe any american citizen should be treated this way. but i think the important thing here is the narrative should not be that the police were in the wrong. >> passenger tyler bridges says the man shares the blame. >> it was pretty shocking, it got to a level it got to, you know? in part that's the man's fault. you know, when the police came on, he shouldn't have resisted, he should have just left. but it is kind of an unbelievable scene when they're actually grabbing him, pulling him off the plane. >> the chicago department of aviation said it puts one of the officers on lever pending review. and the federal defendant of transportation is also investigating. i'm andy rose, reporting. >> so, united airline spokesperson say they needed those seats so that four crew members could get to louisville, the big question was united right in taking the man off the plane? arthur wolk tells "eyewitness news," said, he's red united

glorious, everybody was so nice. >> that's right, everybody was outside. we went to the playgrounds. we got some italian ice, we made it an afternoon. so-so beautiful. i hope everybody else had the chance to enjoy some of that. if you didn't, make stub in the office, well, you have not opportunity here today folks and another day actually will feel incredibly warm for the standards, even milder than yesterday. so, let's take a look at the almanac here. today highs projected at 83 degrees, that's warm enough. but also flirting with the record here. we may end up with the record. i'm not going to lie, we may be just a degree off what we actually end up here. see how we do. the challenge is certainly therefore us to actually tie the record. the sun coming up at 6:29. setting later and later with every passing day will help that along. later tonight only drop to 60 degrees. the normal at nighttime low is 43. so we are really, really mild obviously from what is normal. now, looking at storm scan, nice wide zoom, we still do have nice clear sky. see cyst help however off to the west, will drag cold front

through the area late tonight, and into early tomorrow morning. i don't expect much wet weather out of it, a shower, thunderstorm, here and there, the timing could be a heck of a lot worse. it doesn't get here until late tonight, early tomorrow. so maybe little wet weather for the morning drive tomorrow. but at least for now, you have got another full day basically of very quiet weather and warm weather, to enjoy. now, with that cold front, you're actually going to see the temperature drop off by tomorrow. what's interesting here, is that we are we're still above average. even through the rest of the week, even despite drop on the thermometer because we're starting from such warm place. and with time, looking ahead to the upcoming holiday weekends, especially easter sunny, the temperatures will begin to rebound again, see those orange, the yellow, beginning to build, as the jet stream lifts off to the north again. with that said, there is another storm that does come along by the time we hit the weekend. we will get to that in the seven day. for now we walk you through future weather, start things off later on this afternoon, still, in the sunshine, but late tonight there will very likely be few couple of speckles of green, on the

radar, through the overnight and into tomorrow morning. so that's when the cold front crosses through, it is nothing major. you could probably get away without an umbrella if you really aren't craze bye cashing one along. but notice there is will be a front that crosses the whole region. then clears out for some sunshine later in the day and back to sunny skies then once again by thursday. for now, also, pretty mild start. mid or up ear's, generally region wide, quickly we check on the seven day to give you sense how the easter weekend will pan out. at this point it looks mild anyway. but mildest on sunday, that's also however the day meisha that is most likely to see some showers. >> all right, katie, thank you so much for that. good morning, everyone. happy tuesday. so looking on the roadways, actually looking pretty december then the morning, schuylkill taillights moving in the eastbound direction at spring garden, see what you are working with there, if you head into center city looking good. exactly the level i want to keep you as long as i can. new jersey 42 freeway, approach 295, first look in new jersey this morning, what we are looking at, looking good there, as well. starting to heat up levels just little bit.
