yes, standing here in the middle of 17th street. you can see it is empty normally. this is a bustling street, during midday here, rittenhouse square, all because of this. take a look at this sinkhole, started around last night, pretty late when the water department determined it was happening. then, you can see, they've excavated more, working to repair it, you might notice no crews in the area working i just spoke with spokesperson, from the water department they tell me there is a live wire there, and they're now waiting for peco to get here before they can continue their work. >> if you have had some trouble getting around center city, you can blame this so-called small depression. >> last night we were called out to pump water in the street. we responded. found small depression in the street, as well. >> john with the berth department says 3-inch break on water service line which leads to this building is to blame. >> tuesday morning, city crews removed large portion of 17th street, just south of

maybe some mass or brunn every plans that you're going to be headed out to i'll gave you a sense when any wet weather would move through with the next system just little later on, guys? >> we'll see you later on, closing arguments begin in afternoon in the trial of the three high school teens accused in the death of classmate in a fight last year, 16 year old amy joyner francis died after that fight in a bathroom at wilmington howard high school of technology. testimony wrapped up yesterday in the case. cardiologist testified for the defense, saying, joiner-francis suffered from rare heart condition undetected by doctors. >> and police have identified a man found shot inside a home in kensington, investigators say 30 year old andre brody was shot shortly after 10:00 last night the 1900 block of east venango street. found lying on the kitchen floor with gunshot wound to the head. he died at the hospital shortly after. authority are now questioning several possible witnesses, no arrest have been made. >> authorities are also investigating deadly shooting in the streets of west philadelphia. this happened just after 2:00 a.m. on the 4100 block of brown street, that's in the city belmont section.

police say 34 year old plan was shot moment recall times at least once in the head. they believe the man was shot at point blank range. no arrests in this case. >> montgomery county farther remains behind bars this noon on $1 million bail. authorities say he abused his young children for years. forty-four year old joseph myre accused of punching, choking, his children, now aged 11 to 13, inside the lower proof ten down ship home. the children told investigators their father forced them to sleep in smallwood end boxes with air holes. and that he shocked them with a electric dog collar. police say the investigation started after myre's wife was hospitalized for a fractured skull. charges against him include aggrivated assault, and wreckless endangerment. in other news, the man suspected of ramming a stolen truck into a crowd in stockholme has confessed according to his attorney. lawyers say he pled guilty to driving the beer truck into a

crowd outside a department store on friday afternoon. four people died. fifteen people were injured. the suspect appeared in court today. the judge directed lawyers not to release further details. investigators are still trying to determine whether the 39 year old man acted alone. russia says its relationship with the united states is now the worse it's been since the "cold war" and the recent us strike on syrian air base has strained relations further. >> secretary every state rex tillerson to see if the kremlin can get on the same page. craig boswell more from washington. >> secretary of state, rex tillerson, arrived in moscow hoping to convince the kremlin to go along with us plan to transition syrian president assad out of power. >> i think it is clear to all of us that the rain of the assad family is coming to an end. >> but those talks just got tougher tuesday russian president putin denied syria was behind the chemical weapons attack which killed more than 80 civilians.

he said russia has evidence the us is planning more strikes in syria and plans to blame the syrian government. >> russia has really aligned itself with the assad regime, the iranians, and hess bull a. is that -- is that a long-term alliance that serves russia's interest? >> secretary tillerson will address growing concerns over north korea's nuclear program, another topic where the two countries disagree. russia's foreign ministry department says moscow is very concerned the us will takings against north korea without support from the rest of the world. the us is cakier out military exercises in south korea, and the pentagon has positioned an aircraft carrier off the korean peninsula. >> we need to show that we're prepared to take whatever action is necessary to ensure that north korea does not engage in any deliberate attack. >> president trump tweeted this morning, north korea is looking for trouble. if china decides to help, that would be great.

>> san bernardino police investigating yesterday's elementary school shooting that left a teacher, and another student dead. correspondent john black stone at the school where investigators are still trying to pinpoint what motivated the violence. >> shots fired before

10:30 a.m., and they quickly evacuated some 500 student and discovered two of them had been shot. >> both with eve ear trauma. second victim chest wouldn't but talking. >> police say 53 year old cedric anderson entered his wife's classroom. >> my understanding he end earth dollars offers, simply thereto drop something off with his wife. >> according to authority his estranged wife karen smith was his target. he aimed the 357 revolver at the 53 year old and she was killed. also shot whether two student standing behind her. >> i saw blood across the room. >> what did you do? >> i ranas fast as i can. >> eight year old jonathan martinez there at the hospital where he died, an unidentified nine year old boy is hospital in the stable condition. police say anderson then killed himself. >> i'm told he does have a viminal history t has to do with weapons charges. domestic violence past, as well as possible drug charges in there, as well.

>> the two were married in late january, but police say there were recently estranged. >> we do not know the reasons they were estranged yet. that will be part of the investigation. >> this pastor said she was compassionate and talented teacher who had a heart for children. school officials say crisis counselors will be available today, for families, student and staff. john black stone, cbs news, san bernardino, california. >> the fall out continues this noon after united airlines passenger was forceably dragged off a plane. the treatment of the passengers prompting outrage, especially on social media, where video is taken by other passengers have now gone viral. united airlines ceo oscar munyos defended his employees saying they followed procedure when they removed a doctor from a packed plane in chicago o'hare international airport. but chicago's aviation department said the security officer who grabbed the passenger has been placed on leave. this story is sparking controversy about the right of airline customers. united airlines says it needed

and i think we will come awfully close to. that will look when this thing was set. it is daily record, all the way back in 1887. that on this day, we hit 84 degrees, in philadelphia. so, it is a very long standing record. so, we've got shot to at least tie it today. eighty-three, though, what we will stick our guns to though here when it comes to our projected daytime high. meantime once more here is the frontal boundary, definitely looks a lot worse right now, back over northwestern pennsylvania. just down win of lake erie here, when this gets us, and i'll show it to you in future weather in a second, it won't look all that impressive. still are still pretty heavy thunderstorms southeast most texas at this point, but once this front crosses through our area, we just aren't going to have the juice of i like to call it the moisture content necessary to really do much more than a couple of showers here and there. you'll see. so i'm taking you all the way to 9:00 p.m. tonight. again not even at this point will we have speckle on the radar i think. we get right through the evening, do some grilling out, spends some time out with the

family, go for it, beautiful rest of the day. late tonight, here you go, this takes it all the way to future weather before 6:00 a.m., we start to see any activity on the radar, that is kind of it. so it is really not impressive. once that zips out of here late in the morning, we're really going just be left with some clouds, perhaps shower here and there, but this is your colds front guys. once that cloud deck breaks out of here, kids are getting out of school or maybe enjoying the rest of their spring day oven up with sunny skies the rest of the afternoon. with every good weather pattern comes something that you have got to give a thumbs down to. and that comes in the form of our eyewitness weather health report. because air quality is still moderate today. fine particles pollution as well as grounds level oh, zone. so asthma sufferers, you may need it break out the inhalerment pollen levels are also incredibly high right now. maple, alder, juniper, the primary issues right now, when it comes to. that will uv index also high. remember in the midst of april, that sun can be deceptive. it may feel awesome, but really burning if you're not

ready with a spf. make sure that you have got a spf of 30 or greater and you will be just fine the rest of the day. heat index relative humidity not all that bad. use caution. not as much of a concern. meanwhile outside we go to hand full of live neighborhood network camera shots, pleasant middle and valley high school, all calm. 80 degrees already up in the mountains of monroe county, then we take to you completely opposite extreme. out at the shore line where folks are actually out enjoying the sunshine here at beach patrol headquarters in margate. love that reflection off the water. beautiful start to the afternoon. rest of today looking good, lots of sunshine, taste of june with the high of 83 degrees, then later tonight, perfect weather for the phillies as well, 77 in april for first pitch. not shabby. so, great excuse again if you don't have tickets, looking for toking do, scoop up pair, head on out there. and then we are going to keep this thing going, guys, again, despite this frontal passage, granted not as warm tonight, but remember normal high on this day about 62 degrees,

but when right-wing politicians to protect our health care. tried to pass a disastrous health care repeal bill that raises costs and cuts coverage, macarthur wouldn't oppose them. macarthur wouldn't protect us from a bill that raises premiums and causes 24 million to lose their insurance. wouldn't oppose a massive "age tax" on people over 50. and isn't fighting to protect coverage for pre-existing conditions. tell tom macarthur - stop trying to repeal our health care.
