>> it has been very warm, obviously, in the last few days, but we will get an above average day. thing is we are closer to where we should be with the daytime high then in these recent days. we were tracking cold front passage that brought in very light showers, for a couple of spots, and, all it ended up doing, instead of kicking up the breeze. now that front passed through, northwesterly wind flow kicked in and it is not a breezy day we will still have that cooler air mass settling in. what we have in place is high pressure. that means more sun then anything. we will see cloud. it is looking like a nice day, comfortable in less. here's the wind speed, very light, overall, i can attest to that in the sky deck. i feel a light breeze. it is comfortable. we are at 51 at the airport. only 38 in mount pocono. fifteen or so degrees cooler in the northern most suburbs like mount pocono and lehigh

breaking news this morning video in of a car crashes into a building in ease oak lane senting one person in the hospital. it happened at broad street and cheltenham avenue around 2:30. as last check there is no word on how victim is doing. police are trying to figure out what led to the crash. late they're morning a delaware judge will decide fate of the three teenage girls charged in the death of the classmate. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live in wilmington bring us up to date , jan, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. this is a non-jury trial here in family court and the judge had announced earlier this week after closing arguments wow hand down his ruling, today this has been a heart breaking year for the family of amy joyner frances. one year ago, this month, 17 year-old amy joyner francis died after this brutal, bathroom brawl, at howard high school of technology in, wilmington. the fight, was caught on cell phone video. joyner francis family had to watch it time and again during closing arguments this week.

>> we're all devastated, it is almost like reliving it. >> reporter: three teens on trial will learn their fate. defense attorneys will argue joyner francis was willing participant and her death was unforeseeable. teen died afterward, doctors say from an extremely rare heart condition, and had gone undetect. prosecutors on the other hand say joyner francis wasn't looking to fight, instead was unexpectedly attacked in the bathroom that day while trying to diffuse a tense situation caused by an on line group chat. new three girls, all 17, are charged as juvenileness their death. the alleged assailant is charged with criminally negligent homicide all three charged with misdemeanor conspiracy. even if found responsible though it is possible none of the defendants will face jail time since juvenile system has no mandated sentence for any of those charges. >> that is tough, because at the end of the day three young ladies who cost the life of a beautiful, young lady named amy joyner francis, they get

to go home and joyner frances family has to always go to the cemetery. >> reporter: judge is expected to hand down his ruling, right around 9:00 this morning. we will follow the case, but for now live from wilmington jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". well, new this morning authorities are investigating an overnight fire in south philadelphia. flames broke out just before 1:00 a.m. on the 800 block of washington avenue. fire fighters got the blaze under control in 20 minutes. we're told it started on the third floor still no word what caused the fire, thankfully in one was hurt. police in delaware address kidnapping and sexual assault of the four year-old girl in new castle county. "eyewitness news" at john dick son high school. officers met with the concerned community members and gave stranger danger tips for parents on how 20 keep their kid safe. child was playing outside village of plum run when she was abducted last thursday night. witness found her walking by banning park nearly two hours

sixers fan who helped inspire this mural by submitting winning entry in the sixers mural arts program, and here is a look at his drawing. brandon wanted to show how important the sixers are to him and to the city of philadelphia, and he conveyed that here. he has all of the sixers legend and he even included in the top there, kind of hard to see by sixers banner at the top his grand fat shore worked as a scorekeeper in the 80's and 90's so his fandome runs deep. brandon talked about how this project came about. >> my mom, saw this ad on line and thought it would be cool if i did something. >> yes. >> and i ended up winning this mural arts contest. >> are you an artist yourself. >> i like to call myself one. >> yes. >> he is now. this is an exclusive look at mural. isn't it great, guys. >> i have never seen anything more beautiful. >> fantastic artwork. >> it is beautiful, i have seen it but we cannot show it

in the last couple of days. we will still eke out an above average day technically. i'm shooting for 66 degrees. as we start with the view from central park library overlooking basilica in the distance, you see logan square , center city and it is a very pleasant, calm, comfortable beginning to the day for us out there. you can see there is a little light of day on the horizon. the sun will come up in about 45 minutes, or so, from now, so when it does we will be promised a beautiful sunrise as well. checking with our eyewitness weather watchers, we are starting off on a mild note too but these values will not climb as easily as they did in recent days. cooler air mass has settled in more northerly wind flow dry air at lee, pretty good hair day despite a breeze. we will take you to a handful of the spots, 49 degrees from john carroll. he has nice clear sky, in mullica. we will go over in delaware where it is 52 degrees from john, also a nice clear sky in glasgow to start things off.

and we will go to one more who do we want to pick here. forty-seven this morning. decide to go. there we go. megan send in also nice clear skies at 47 degrees. switching gears and heading back over to the maps, high pressure to thank, we will go against a couple cloud with time. we will see this batch of showers moving its way in the great lakes, this is not an issue for us. it appears like that will fizzling as it moves east but we have a system we're tracking for weekend. that is where we will turn our focus. it is easter weekend. many of outdoor plans this time of the year anyway but even more so with brunch plans , sunday services, for the holiday. right now there is still going to be a storm that moves through. warm front lets in on saturday , cold front crosses late in the day on sunday. however, the timing is on our side, because if we get wet weather at all we will see showers, saturday night, and then very likely a chance we will see a shower, or rumble of thunder on sunday at night.
