>> that's why katie took off. >> yes, it was a warm day yesterday, getting taste of summer for the easter bunny and all of the little baby checks. 87 degrees in philadelphia, high temperature actually 3 degrees shy of the record yesterday. got close to record in ac at 88 degrees, if you were down the shore yesterday, you are loving life. 85 degrees. the high temperature in wildwood yesterday, because of the hot day, it is still extremely mild at this early hour. 65 degrees in philadelphia, 67 in wilmington, we have fallen back to the 50's in the lehigh valley, 56 degrees right now, so little cooler there. storm scan3 showing us mainly quiet conditions, couple of sprinkles trying to work their way into northern delaware, do have more in the way of shower activity across portions of western pennsylvania, so it will start to work its way eastbound, cold front will move through the area today. give us some scatter shower activity, pretty light intensity across most areas as we head into midday. decrease in clouds on the back

construction this is actually water main installation, belmont between rock hill road and city avenue. >> this will be closed between nine a.m. and 3:00 p.m. starting at 9:00 a.m. you will have to use alternate route 23, going to be your best bet around there. and some more construction, pocopson, you will have to take lenape road your best alternate around that, jim, rahel, back to you. >> thank you shall meisha. violent weekend in the city continues right into this morning, just hours ago, gunfire claimed a life in southwest philadelphia. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live near the scene with the details, good mornin morning, trang. >> reporter: good morning, numbers this weekend just staggering there is weekends into monday, 18 people shot, three of them fatally, let's take a look at the scene here, this is the latest shooting at 62nd and woodland avenue outside of the bar here, you see lounge 62. so very active scene. police have the intersection currently closed off to traffic. they found the victim lying on the sidewalk, of woodland avenue here. some three hours ago.

but, let's take a look at the scene from earlier this morning. just after 2:00 a.m. police say officers about a block away when you heard single gunshot fired. officer then rushed here, found large crowd surrounding a 27 year old hispanic man, who had been shot in the torso. paramedics pronounced him dead on the scene. though there were a lot of people out here, police have not been able to gather much information from witnesses. they do believe the man was a customer inside the lounge 62 bar at some point in the evening. but, earlier this morning, police also responded to another shooting, just before 2:00 a.m., near the intersection of b and whitaker and juniata park. three people, 21 year old man, 24 year old man, and 22 year old woman all shot in the leg and taken by private car to temple hospital. they are all in stage condition. investigators believe that shooting may have stemmed from some kind of argument, and police say increased violence in the city usually co-incites with warmer weather. >> we've had numerous shootings over the weekend. you know, summertime,

summertime is coming, warm weather today. you know, we get peaks and valleys during the warm weather. certainly anyone who witnessed a smoothing or any shooting for that matter to contact the police, contact our homicide unit. >> and back out here at 62nd and woodland, police are still looking for shooters in both of these incidents from overnight as you see here, very busy stretch with lot of businesses, investigators are hoping that some surveillance cameras captured what happened, and would be able to identify some kind after shooter. for now live in southwest philadelphia, trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," back to you. >> trang, thank you for up that date. police in abington township searching for uber driver who disappeared almost week ago after dropping passengers off in philadelphia. kristin live was working tuesday night, she was driving her 2,003 olive green subaru legacy to pick up and drove off passengers, last fair along 2700 block of axe

factory road in northeast philadelphia, her mom right now pleading for help in finding her missing daughter. >> i don't care if she is 45 years old. she could be a hundred and 45 years old and every mother in the world does the same thing, she is still mine. >> detective have cleared the last person live dropped off. no reason to believe at this point foul play is involved in her disappearance. >> developers looking for what started a fire in montgomery county in a house that put one person in the hospital. firefighters returned to the 2700 block every vester lane in upper moreland township around 6:00 yesterday evening. they had it under control short time later. one person went to the hospital after suffering from cardiac arrest. >> another house fire this one in bucks county also under investigation. the flames spread to several homes in the 100 block of park avenue in morrisville. police and firefighters were on scene for hours trying to get the flames under control. authorities believe the fire started in a kitchen. >> we had three dwellings, go

down to the ground by fire, the fire started in occupied dwelling, and spread to two unoccupied dwellings. >> now, one woman managed to escape the burning home without injuries. >> police in berks county still looking for man accused of shooting 13 year old, this happened on stauffer road in washington township friday night. investigators say the teen was in his home with two friends when a car pulled into the driveway. man then walk up to the house and punched through screen window while shouting obscenities, shot the victim in the neck and torso, victim in critical condition. police identified the suspect as 19 year old matthew hail, if you plan to charge him with attempted murder burr not yet in custody. >> there is poe potential break in the facebook murder case, they confirm they have tracked the suspect's cell phone to erie pennsylvania, meantime cleveland police continue their manhunt for steven stevens. the facebook video reportedly shows him shooting and killing a man. also claimed to have commit other murders, police have not verified. that will stevens works at

"eyewitness news." >> happening today, runners will take to the streets through the boston marathon. the city expect more than 30,000 people to run in the race. the marathon remains under tile security since two bombs planted near the finish line exploded on april 15th of 2013. three spectators killed, and more than 26 off others were injured, boston mayor marty walsh says there are no credible threats to this year's marathon. >> well, higher education experts are weighing in on new york's first in the nation idea of free tuition at colleges. but some are saying, it is too good to be true. some experts say the plan offers the lisa cyst tans to the most needy students whose tuition can be covered by other aid. the model covers tuition at public colleges, for student whose families are earn less than $125,000 a year, critics say this doesn't take into account costs beyond tuition, like room and board. >> speaking of new york, i was in new york this weekend. it was so nice. everybody was at the park, walking all of the dogs, beautiful.

specially in philadelphia and point southward. i think the best chance of rain is going to be along the coast, maybe as we head into the second half of the morning with a little bit of heating of the day. temperatures right now, we are mild, 66 atlantic city, 66 in dover. 63 degrees right now in reading. so, we are on the warm side of the frontal boundery right now. the back side of the cold front. still across portions of far western pennsylvania, there is the northerly wind flow, back side of the frontal boundery, colder air will be building in as we head into the overnight period. for today we get up to 74 degrees, scattered showers for the first half of the day, gradual clearing we head into the afternoon and evening, then for tonight, mostly clear, but again, little chilly. 49 degrees after upper 80s, yesterday. it will feel a little chilly us to, clear skies conditions, we'll get good view of the meteor shower, runs this week into next week, average of 20 meteors per hour, and they're known for bright tails lasting for several seconds. so, check that out if you are you're up late tonight. headed into the day tomorrow,

64 degrees, sunshine, average, cooler but pleasant, pleasant week altogether, showers into thursday, with high temperatures in the middle seven's, we warm things up, cooler kick off next weekend, meisha. looks like we start off in the upper 50's. >> laura are you staying to up watch that? >> absolutely. >> nope, not me. take some pictures for me. happen mine day. look being outside at the vine. we had disabling vehicle around broad street, little earlier, now since cleared out of the way. look at the vine head toward the schuylkill, moving in the westbound direction, you can see, brake lights going off. overall still traveling just as they should. eastbound side certainly starting to heat up. see plenty of headlight out there, only kind of sneak peak of things to come. very busy. birdseye view 95 south at cottman, come around the s curve, working there, as well. overall looking at pretty typical congestion levels building in the 5:00 hour, overall things looking good with that being said. now, i want to move right ahead to construction water

deal. harm err walks it off. nats win six-four, the phillies back tomorrow, against the mets in new york. nba playoff where tragedy hit the number one seed in the east over the weekend, celtics star isiah thomas learned his 22 year old sister china was killed in a car accident. extremely emotional before the game, but would still put on a show. would that be enough against the bulls? thomas would fight through it. and he knocks down this deep three pointer putting the celtics ahead early in the first, he would finish with 33 points. but the bulls had all of the answers. you know this guy, been doing it forever, dwyane wade with the mid range jumper. the bulls take game one in boston winning 106-102. moving onto game one of the series between the wizards and the hawks in washington, the hawks filled early lead. that's paul, he had 19 for atlanta. but the wizards storms back. it is john wall, finding marquises morris, it is a lob.
