those clouds will start moving out. and you can already see what it has done to some of the temperature readings here in the far north and west suburbs, also blue contouring, denote coldest air, at least at this point, has gun to nudge in. now, if you have been watching us since we went on the air at four # 30:00, you will recall, we started early morning off here at 57 degrees. we've already dropped four, and it is only been about a half hour. so, these temperatures will continue their decline throughout the early part of the day here. and once the sun does come up of course the rebounds will begin to take place here, chill starting to move back in, in short, so, not talking about cold day. it is just cooler by comparison. and that northeast wind as i mentioned beginning to pick up specially at the shore. that might even limit your daytime highs out that way. so expect more sun than anything, about 60 in all of the resort towns, here in philly we rebound to very typical 66 degrees high. meisha? >> comfortable at that. all right, katie, thank you so much. and very good morning to all of you. just waking up with us, looking outside, we do have this overturned

mini-van collided at 58th and walnut there is happened less than an hour ago. now as you can see in the video van still on the scene, search underway for its driver. motorcyclist and passenger on the bike are both at presbyterian hospital right now. >> also new this morning, man injured when an s.u.v. smashes into his home. it happened just after midnight on the 4700 block of oklahoma month street in holmesburg. police tell us the man suffered cuts to his face when the impact shattered his basement window. the driver remained on the scene and so far no charges have been filed. >> well, nationwide manhunt is underway this morning for the suspect wanted for killing an elderly man in cleveland. then posting the video of the shooting on facebook. >> meanwhile the victim's family says they forgive his alleged killer and just want him captured. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in the cbs-3 news center with more on the investigation. new details overnight. what can you tell us? >> reporter: rahel, authorities say stiviano ends could be anywhere at this point. the search even brought them here to philadelphia monday afternoon. so, officers found no trace of him here. meanwhile, the victim's family

trying to process their grief and remember their beloved father and grandfather. >> as police frantically search for their loved ones killer, robert godwin senior's family held vigil in his honor monday evening. >> police say the 74 year old retiree was out collecting cans after easter sunday dinner, when he was approached by stiviano ends. >> authorities say stevens chose godwin at random. shooting and killing the father of ten, then posting the gruesome video to facebook. >> do me a favor? joy lane? >> joy lane is the suspect's exgirlfriends. >> she is the reason why this happened to you. how old are you? >> at the vigil godwin's youngest son struggled to come to terms with the senseless loss of their father. >> killed my daddy for no reason. >> (crying). >> he always loved me. >> we try, we trying, i'm trying to stop crying.

dj creato in the murder of hess three year old son brandon. they say creato killed his son and then reported his son missing. jurors are expected to visit the site where brandon's body was discovered in cooper river park. over the weekends memorial to brendan creato was removed, the judge concerned about the impact of the memorial on the injury. >> i prosecutors plan to rest their case today against self proclaimed survivalist eric frein in the murder every pennsylvania state trooper. yesterday jurors saw a letter frein wrote his parents after the 2014 attack. frein wrote about revolution, and said the time was right to light a fire in the hearts of men. the letter was found on a thumb driver at the abandoned airplane hangar where frein was captured after a 48 day manhunt. frein is charged with shooting corporal brian decks onto death and injuring trooper alex douglas. >> police are investigating this morning after a construction worker made gruesome discovery at closed restaurant in northeast philadelphia. a burned body was found yesterday afternoon inside this sushi kingdom. that's on the 400 block of

franklin mills circle. investigators say the owner had.been to the property since january, it is unclear how long the body was in that building. >> meanwhile police in florida arrested suspect accused of shooting teen multiple times in berks county last week. authorities in prefard county florida confirm 19 year old matthew hail was apprehended late sunday. police say that hail ambushed three people friday at the home on stafford road in washington township. hail accused of shooting 13 year old boy, that boy remains in critical condition. about a month ago before the primary. candidates for philadelphia district attorney will square off. they are attended forum at arch street united methodist church at 65:00 tonight. last night the seven democrats, one republican seek to go replace seth williams attended candidate forum at drexel university. moderator tom kline says the next da must have the highest standards. >> it could not be more important at this stage of the life of our city for the

♪ >> man accused of shooting inside a mall killing five people in washington state is found dead inside his jail cell, 20 year old was found hanging live less sunday night, accused of opening fire at department store. he was turkish national, became permanent resident of the us officials say they did not find anything linking him to any terror groups. five people taken hostage during a delaware prison uprising, and the widow of correctional officer planned to announce a federal lawsuit this morning. lieutenant steven floyd was killed during the inmate take-over at the vaughn correctional center in february. the prisoners held two other correctional officers hostage. three maintenance workers hid in the basement. in another incident last

friday, vaughn correctional center officer was assaulted, after inmate reportedly disobeyed the no talking rule during dinner. no one was hurt. >> charges are expected against inmates of the cook county jail in illinois after they were caught trying to light their uniforms on fire. in this surveillance video shot saturday evening, inmate ignites his jumpsuit, using material that he set on fire using a microwave. in the second video, you see correctional officers getting inmates out of the smoke-filled room. the mike he wave, which inmate use to warm up food from the commissary has been removed. >> well, in less than two weeks the fall fans will flood the city of philadelphia for the nfl draft. >> with just nine days ago, many are wondering what impact the draft will have on the city's bottom line. nfl draft follows two major event of course, took shape here in the city of brotherly love these past two years, the papal advice knit 2015, then democratic national convention last summer, officials are saying the draft will cost the city up to half million dollars to host. on the nfl takes care of the

here out, see, looks like there might be a ship sitting out there, but little calm. cloudy side overhead. but, wouldn't be able to tell that by looking at this particular view. because the cloud deck is high enough it is not doing any visibilities. and it is still very, very calm and quiet outside. i haven't seen one person walking down this boardwalk outside boardwalk plaza just yet. what you will notice again is the cloud deck i mentioned, it is making its exit though. as sky begin to clear out more, we end one pleasant weather. but that clearing sky, and the cover of darkness, you'll ends up with temperatures a lot more easily going to drop off here. eventually, also dealing with wet weather as i mentioned moment ago. through future weather. really at this point not expecting much more than couple of patchy clouds, afternoon highs mid 506's, very pleasant, very comfortable, for what the standards of april 18th would typically bring us. now tomorrow we start to see new round of clouds moving in. almost like a wall of cloud cover. but at least you start the day off with pleasant sunrise,

should be generally clear for the morning commute. then couple of these scattered shares pop up. talking speckles on the radar, and that's it. so granted the clouds rebuild. but more than anything, you're just going have to deal with the most spotty showers, i think you can get away without umbrella thursday mate be a bit more of your call. look at this, start to see the showers move in little bit more not just heavy but also a bit more widespread as the afternoon goes on. meantime, for now, sunny, seasonable, high of 66. nice day. that sunrise earlier and earlier every day, 6:19 is when we will actually see the sun come up. then later tonight it drops at 7:43. on the horizon with nothing more than couple of clouds. now the clouds will begin again rebuild here throughout the day tomorrow. so the temperatures held back, about 62 degrees, just watching for very spotty shower. and then look how we warm up here, new system bridges along daytime highs into the 70s, friday the warm else, but will feature few showers if not even thunderstorm, by saturday, we should not only cool down, but also clear out
