neighborhood network where the rain has been moving through. and tough to tell if you look closely on the right side of your screen you see the tell tail raindrops, sort of skewing the camera lens there little bitment lots every clouds, few breaks in the clouds no less. but there is still wet weather to track. you saw it moment ago on storm scan, let's go back to it here full screen. some of the rain pretty heff guys. it is working it way through in the next couple every hours, from west to east, essentially. now once it gets through the next few hours, you will ends up with some clouds breaking for some sunshine. so one of those half and half kind of days. the problem is we're not out of the woods necessarily, later this evening, it looks as though there will be another scattered round, key word scattered, but another round nonetheless. couple of showers if not locally gusty thunderstorm. currently mid 50's though in philly, ac, pretty modest breeze considering we have frontal passage about to happen here. but regardless, as the day goes on, even despite that cold front, still going to have chance to warm up to above average levels low 307's, will see at least

little sunshine. >> nor now i suggest at the moment you might want jacket ready as well as umbrella later this afternoon you can dif it for the early part of the afternoon, then again, scattered showers set to return, and overall looks to me like this pat certain generally unsettled for many more days yet to come. >> i saw that, many more days. >> boo his. >> really is. it will be. all right, thank you. >> well, good morning, so yes, at the desk, talking about this serious accident a result of police chase overnight in bristol, bucks county, happened about 2:00 this morning. take take a look at video foota, 95 north, route 413, right now you are being diverted off at route 413, which is exit 40. or you can avoid the area altogether, use alternate bristol pike or route one, which is actually what i would suggest doing. i would say avoid the area, because you can see all of the flashing light, crews, right now, are actually still out there. and this is just a look at the back up shot, as you head up

to that. even though you are being diverted off at route 413, you are still traveling very, very slow, once you get up there. it is just a snail crawl. i mean, take a look, way up there. kind authorities see, sea of taillights, brake lights, again, avoid the area altogether if you k and we have another accident, here, the blue route, northbound, near the schuylkill, just past the schuylkill. pulled off to the shoulder. you might get little gaper delay, but overall since we are having this many accidents around the roadways, i would say give yourself couple of extra minutes this morning, jim, jan, back to you. >> thank you shall meisha. new this morning, so far no word on what caused quick moving fire that damaged this home in the city lawncrest section, firefighters rushed out to the 500 block of east cheltenham avenue, just before 3:30 this morning. the fire was out short time later. fortunately, no one was injured. >> two men are in custody this morning following overnight shooting in north philadelphia. one of the bullets flew through a window and struck a man's bed, while he was sleeping. >> and the gunfire did hit another man, "eyewitness news" reporter trang do, live at einstein medical center where

that victim is being treated, trang? >> well, good morning, jan, jim, yes, the 29 year old man in critical condition, with gunshot wounds to his left arm, shoulder, and torso. he arrived here at einstein in a private car, before police even got to the shooting scene. but police did arrive in time to sigh car speeding away from the scene, and he took two people in for questioning. but take a look at the video of the scene in ogontz overnight. just after 11:00 p.m., officers were on patrol, near 15th and conlin, when they heard gunshots, and they rushed over. now, there with a no victim there. but overside find 20 spent shell casings, and they also saw a car rushing away from the intersection, officers followed that car, and reportedly saw the people inside toss two guns out of the window. police were able to recover those two semiautomatic guns. now, officers were finally able to stop that car, at 21st k those two people inside of the car in for questioning. now, back over, at the shooting scene, lots of bullet, police discovered

stray bullet went through the window of second floor bedroom at the home on the corner hitting a bed post. >> that just missed the male who was sleeping in that bed, by about a foot. so that individual is extremely lucky. had he been sitting up, or if when he heard the gunshots, which he did, if he would have got out of bed, and look out his window, there is good possibility he could have been struck by gunfire. >> while police are questioning those two persons of interest, they're also questioning two people who brought that shooting victim here to einstein. but for now, liver outside einstein medical center, trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." >> jan, jim, back to you. >> thank you, trang. >> and france, authorities have searched the home of a man believed to be linked to the attack on police in central paris that left one officer dead and two other wounded. a woman was also caught in the gunfire there. the attack happened on the popular champs elysees. president french called the act, the attack, act of

terrorism. >> disturbing allegations against youth soccer coach in south philadelphia. >> thirty-nine year owe francisco, sexually assaulted and fathered a child with one of his 14 year old players. now, according to authorities, the girl asked for work through the suspect's cleaning business. instead, police say, he paid her at least five times to have sex with him. officials now want to remind parent to be extra vigilant when end rowing their children in activities. >> ask a lot of questions, you know, before they sign the kids up. should also come, make sure they're there all the time. don't just blindly trust anybody, turn your kids over to, always show up, you know, just don't have blind fate in anybody. >> the philadelphia parks department says prado has been suspended indefinately from all parks and recreation facilities and activities. he faces statutory sexual assault and other charges, bail is set at $750,000. >> fifteen year old girl from tennessee missing for more than a month has been found safe and her teacher who she

disappeared with has been arrested. fifty year old tad cummings, elizabeth thomas, found yesterday, hiding out in the remote cabin in northern california. authorities say cummings introduced thomas as his wife, claiming they were newlyweds. her family is overjoyed that she has been found safe. >> just so overjoyed to have her home. that she is safe. can't wait to see her. >> the fbi is now working to get elizabeth back to tennessee where she will be reunited with her family. >> the state of arkansas has carried out it first execution in 12 years, death row inmate, ladel lee executed overnight after the u.s. supreme court rejected his appeal. here is cbs news correspondent chris martinez. >> arkansas put 51 year old la-del lee to death by injection overnight, divided u.s. supreme court rejected the conficted murder's final appeal hours before his execution. those against capitol punishment held a vigil outside the arkansas governor's mansion.

lee, one of eight inmate, the state wanted to execute, before the end of the month, when its supply of one of its lethal injection drugs expires. that set off fire storm of debate about the state's protocols, and the use of capitol punishment in general. arkansas' first three executions were indefinately delayed this week, because of courtings, one more, is in doubt, because of legal rulings. lee, sentenced to death, for beating debra reese to death with a tire iron in 1993. joseph lucky was just a child. when his mother was murdered. >> ladeal lee showed no mercy, no lenient to any of the victims that he encountered, the embody iment of the legal. >> kevin young says that's not the brother he knew. >> he has a heart, you know, he is not what they're portraying he is. i don't know who they are talking about. >> lee maintained his innocence until he took his last breath. the fate of the other three

inmate scheduled for the death chamber this month remains unclear. chris martinez, for cbs-3, "eyewitness news." >> the supreme court voted five to four to deny lea stay of execution. new court justice kneel gorsuch voted with the majority. happening today jury had continue to deliberate the penalty for convicted killer, eric frein, frein could be put to death for the 2014 ambush murder of pennsylvania state police corporal, named brian dixon, outside pocono barracks. trooper alex douglas was critically injured, the trial took place in pikes county, but the jury was actually brought in from chester county because of pretrial publicity. well, coming up: gunshots ring out of child's birthday party. >> still ahead right here on cbs-3 "eyewitnes "eyewitness ne" police investigate shooting that happened as kids played inside a bounce house. >> frightening crash caught on camera. everyone is okay, but it could have been a lot worse, the message police hope this video sends to other drivers. >> ♪ >> ♪ >> ♪ >> ♪ >> ♪

accident, still looking at it right now and how it will affect you. serious accident was the result of police chase. bristol, bucks county, now there is happened around 2:00 a.m. but you can see, nine the a north, at route 413, it is still seriously going to affect you. they are diverting traffic off right now at route 413, or exit 40, or you could avoid the area altogether, use alternate, brit toll pike, route one, probably your best bet. but even in the back up shot, you can see, now they've even block off that far left lane, as well. you can see, far off there, just sea of tail light, and it is very, very busy around this area, again, i would say, avoid it altogether. if you just missed it, it is 959 north at route 413, and you are being diverted off at route 413 right now. plus, we have another accident, on the blue route, pulled off to the shoulder just now starting to slow us down little bit. getting gaper delay, not it mention the fact push in the 6:00 hour congestion levels start to build little bill bit. just past the schuylkill,

tonight, katie, they supply to dodge some showers, right? >> i'm thinking there might be scattered shower or thunderstorm around in time for first pitch. but nothing that would necessarily cancel the game. but there will again be little wet weather to track at that point. certainly is right now, as well. as we start things off with a look at storm scan3, so let's go there first. currently finding some rain, moving through somewhat steadily. i do need the umbrella at this point on the skydeck. thankfully more than mist than anything, but the rain definitely moving through, coming through steadily in many locations, as well. we have seen couple of embedded thunderstorms along the way too but primarily just some localized doses of steadier rain. then it is going to get out of here late near the afternoon, the problem is this is frontal boundery actually going to end up with even a shower on it tail ends. let me back up this, start over again. having some clinic eric use, this is the beginning every future weather i wanted to show you. what you notice, pretty heavy batch of the rain moving through in the morning. then we start to clear out little bit. but with time, scattered showers or thunderstorms start to reignite.

40, your alternate, bristol pike, route one, going to be your best bet. and the backups are pretty substantial. they're headed all the way back to bristol pike right now. so just heads up. i would say, if you can, i would avoid the area altogether. if you can't either take the alternate, bristol pike, route one, or just know you will be diverted off route 413 exit 40, or, and also, on top that far, also know you're be sitting in there. that's why i say avoid it if at all possible. taking a look at back up shot, you can't see it right now, actually zoomed in on disable going in the opposite direction. but i can say the back up shot is pretty substantial. it is bumper to bumper, you're barely moving, also another accident blue route northbound past the schuylkill, just past the schuylkill, pulled off to the shoulder. as you can see, congestion levels on there, good news, heads up in the worlds of mass transit, take a quick peak, this is going to be for the weekends, check the schedules on line, jim, jan, back over

to you. >> thank you shall meisha. man fighting for his life this morning after shooting in the city ogontz section, happened just after 11:00 at 15th and conlin streets, right now, authority are questioning two men who fled from the scene, possibly throwing guns from their car. the victim is in critical condition. and get this, a stray bullet actually flew through the window after man's home, and struck his bed while he was sleeping. that man was shaken up. but not hurt. >> authority in france have launched an investigation into thursday's deadly terror attack in paris. >> officials say gunman opened fire on a police van killing one officer, and wounding three other people before police shot and killed him. here's hena daniels. >> reporter: investigators raided home at suburb in paris, searching for clues into thursday's deadly attack along the champs elysees. authorities are trying to determine whether one or more people may have played a role in the incident. when a man armed with a automatic weapon opened fire at a police van along the

iconic avenue. as panic restraunts goers hit the floor, one person used his cell phone to capture video of police confronting the suspect. >> i saw three guys coming in, in a audi, shoot on the police. >> gunmen killed at least one officer and wounded two other officers, and female tourist, before he was taken out by police. >> so -- >> in a televised address last night french president called the attack terrorist in nature. shortly before isis claimed responsibility. >> and identified the suspect as abu yousif. >> i would say very, very terrible thing that's going on in the worlds today. >> as the investigation continues to unfold, president trump expressed his condolence frost washington speaking in indonesia this morning, vice president pence offered similar sentiment. >> we will not relent in our effort to ends terrorism and the threat it present to both of our people.

>> the paris attack came a mid height ends security, leading up to the country's presidential election this sunday. hena daniels, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." the fbi buses the man they call the straw hat bandit. they say he's 57 year old richards boil. boil is accused of robbing 11 banks across montgomery and bucks county between 2012 and 2016. and investigators claim he stole half million dollars in cash, if convicted, boil could face a mandatory 200 year prison sentence. >> philadelphia police are investigating another assault on the schuylkill river trail. woman says about eight to ten teens on bicycles surrounded her on the trail just after 5:30 saturday evening while exercising, she tells police that one of the teens groped her, the woman told "eyewitness news" exactly what she went through. >> one of the boys, who is probably no more than 12, 13 years old, road up next to me while i was on my roller blades and smack me on my bee behind. i turned to the boy and said

you're not allowed to do that, to which he responded ya well you can't catch me. >> officials have been working to address this issue after similar incidents last year, the city has increased lighting on the trail, and also working on adding surveillance camera system. meantime, surveillance cameras captured groping suspect in princeton, new jersey there is happened last week, near moore and spruce streets, authorities say a man groped a woman, then fled down spruce street. he is described as 5-foot 5 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. anyone with information is asked to call police. >> now, for an update on story we first brought you here on "eyewitness news," it involves grades that were unearthed at a construction site in old city philadelphia. most of the remains from the graves are being stored in south philadelphia now. analysts want to move them to a lab in camden. but that move won't be cheap. the mutter museum launched campaign to raise $20,000 to cover the costs. and it needs to happen soon. >> the storage areas where they're located now are not climate controlled. and the weather is getting
