morning because of the rine, but we hadof folks this morning, temperatures showing in the 40's. i wanted to show a couple pictures people send us this morning. they have great won we have been talking about. doctors prescribing the idea of getting outside to make your sure feel better. that is what they have done. phil chapline he had this great picture of the robin, spring season and we are seeing all of this great nature as we kind of thaw out from the wintertime, also ed connor had a picture of his dog casey. they went on three walks already this morning and we are not even to the 9:00 o'clock hour yet. it looks like casey's ready to take a nap. i might do that after the show here as well. we have a great picture from this morning from lynn and she's showing us a wonderful sunrise on what has been a great, sunday. now it is not just sunny here, cross the delaware valley or across the philadelphia area relatively nice, across all of the portions of the area, 47 degrees, in broad headville , up near stroudberg
8:48 am
heading up toward mount pocono and then we have had clear skies earlier in the day further north and west, we have had that sunshine early on and cloud cover is now, moving out, even here in philadelphia and then we will see it, even clear toward the shore points and off the coast line. high temperature in philadelphia we will get to 66 . sun and cloud, but for the most part more sunshine then cloud cover. the shore maybe a writ will bit more cloud, end up at 61 and 63 for the poconos, again mostly sunny, a wonderful day to get outside. storm scan three is showing you all that high level moisture, low pressure that moved in yesterday, had the damp, dreary and cloudy conference, and again, that is moving off the coast line. that is good news. high pressure filtered in from the great lakes and that is controlling our forecast for this morning, and into the rest of the afternoon hours, as well. you see by 2:00 this afternoon plenty of sunshine out there we will see cloud cover increase as we go through late evenings, overnight hours. remaining dry tonight.
8:49 am
our next system coming off the coast line for our monday. you see here monday afternoon right around 1:00 o'clock or so we have had cloud cover across the delaware valley, some shower activity, across southern portions of the viewing area, we could see some of that rain, again, southern shore points toward dover as well you can see atlantic city, millville getting in on future weather forecast here. i think for the most part precipitation stays to the south, philadelphia, northwestern suburbs, more likely to be dry tomorrow. we cannot completely rule out a stray shower or two but in the south that is our best chance for the rain showers on monday, as we get into monday night and tuesday, better chance for rain. that low gets closer. that front gets closer. unfortunately it does look like tuesday, may be a wash out of the day. 66 degrees for afternoon high in the a wash out for our sunday. mostly sunny. a great afternoon. much nicer then it was saturday. tonight seasonal, 48 degrees
8:50 am
but those cloud are increasing as we go through the night. seven day forecast 57 tomorrow , much cooler on our monday, we will rise on tuesday but it will be more rainy, high temperature of 60. zero seven by wednesday as we dry things out and draft coming to town, thursday a high of 80 degrees, wonderful day for first day of the draft and our second system comes through a stray shower or two friday and saturday. keep an eye on that but it will be in the 70's. >> eighty's and sunny for the draft, fingers crossed. 8:50. time to check the road. lets go to amanda muhler in the cbs traffic center. >> we are taking a live look at schuylkill eastbound city avenue, we have no make or issues on your major roadways and of course, heading in the city, there are road closures around the draft and mlk drive is closed until 5:00pn for separate events. we have an accident with the road close another of new jersey 47 and cumberland road, that is a car in the pole
