world of travel. on a friday, this early at 4:00 in the morning, that's not something that we typically -- >> a lot of traffic on the schuylkill, little surprising at 3:00 in the morning,. >> nfl draft party. >> people still out partying. >> yes. >> so many people obviously just descending upon the city for the best reasons, we have awesome events going on, i'm sure that will have an issue, you know, when it comes to your travel around the region again here today. what i want to show you here, on this shot, i have a feeling, liberty place is lit up in green in honor of our brand new draft pick. but you can see there on the grounds that the road is still just little damp looking. we had some showers that rolled through in the last couple of hours, nothing else expected in the city through the rest of the day. but, it is still very mild, too. look how high that dew point s that is little muggy actually outside right now, even despite modest breeze, 66 degrees, very warm beginning to the morning. here are the showers, this is three hour loop we're looking at, anything left over at the moment still seeing damp weather across cumberland, across the bay into delaware,

as well, but this is all going to get on out of here. we ends up with really nice looking day, couple of other area temperatures, look how warm we are at the onset. so we're not going to have any problem heating up to these values with, no issue we hit the low 80s, at the shore, even the poconos, flirting with zero eight today. so beautiful looking day, meisha. i would say it is actually better looking than yesterday. we will start off with sunshine for a change. >> utley so nice to see that sun back, thanks so much. like i was saying up at the desk, if you are just waking up, good morning, starting off with a bunch of accident, still clearing, some still out there. clayton new jersey route 47 closed both directions, academy straight. so alternates, 55, or fridays mill road your best bet, plus downed utility pole, there as well. another serious accident, new jersey, route 73 southbound reopened near the new jersey turnpike, heads up, plus another accident, took any creek parkway closed between

pulled the trigger. now, take a look, this is 26 year old burgon steel i, jr., shot to death thursday morning after intense 20 hour stand-off at a home registered to his father in middletown, showed steel i was arrested in 2013 on gun and drug charges, now, what is still unclear, why police say seally shot corporal ballard at the wawa parking lot. meanwhile, people paying respects at both the wawa and at troop two barracks where he watt stationed, his fellow troopers also shared their fond memories of him with "eyewitness news." take a listen. >> we had a great time working, very easy to work with, he loved his job, he loved being out there serving everyone you. >> learn about the person the proverbial smile lights up the room. that will was steve. very personable. in fact, i was with his wife at the hospital last night when i overheard her tell governor carney that he wanted to be a governor some day.

special attention was given to his clean socks. prosecutors say, that it is proof that he was carried, and did not walk more than a half mile from his father's apartment. the walk was later repeated by another three year old wearing the same socks as brendan, as comparison, those socks were presented in court. >> this morning, arkansas has executed it fourth inmate in eight days, kenneth williams died by lethal injection late last night before his execution, apologized to the family of a college cheerleader he killed in 1988 and deposition ooh i ward on while escaping from prison. ac elevating time lines to beat the expiration date of one of the drugs used for lethal injections. >> and there is now arrest in connection to this viral video of group of people riding bikes on the vine street expressway in philadelphia. pennsylvania state police have arrested the teenager who allegedly organized the ride. authorities say he told investigators, the group was out on sunday afternoon to celebrate his birthday. >> we were able to identify a

male juvenile responsible for organizing this event. he is in custody here at pennsylvania state police belmont barracks, we do take this very seriously, and he is being charged with misdemeanor, disorderly conduct, also couple of summary offenses. >> and police have not released suspect's name because he is a minor. well, lehigh county woman is dead after her own dog attacks her. >> this happened yesterday afternoon at the woman's home on spring white drive in upper macungie township. police say the boxer-pitbull mix was mauling the woman who was in her 30's when they arrived at the house. she died at the hospital, the human society is putting the dog down. >> president trump is closing in on 100 days in office, and now he is sharing the lengths he's willing to go to as north korea continues testing their weapons. >> reporter: president trump said he doesn't rule out military action against north korea as he faces one of the one of the biggest diplomatic

challenges in his young presidency. >> there is a chance that we could end up having a major, major conflict with north korea. >> tensions in the korean peninsula have escalated because of north korea continued testing of balistic and nuclear weapons, earlier thursday, president trump traveled to the department of veterans affairs, to sign an executive order, to establish an office of accountability and whistle below err protection. >> those who fail our develop rans will be held for the first time accountable. >> the executive order is one of 32 the president will have signed by the time he reaches the milestone of 100 days in office. the most in that time frame since world war ii. but he has failed to score any legislative victories, and potential russian meddling in the presidential election has cast a shadow over his administration. a fifth investigation was launched thursday, into fired national security advisor michael flynn's possible role.

>> united airlines, airline will not disclose the amount it is filing doctor david dae, but taken full responsible for what happened. united also making some major changes, it will use law enforcement officers only for emergency issues, the airline says it will offer up to $10,000 to passengers to be bumped off a flight. united also says it has reduced over booking, and will offer more training to employees. >> philadelphia's looking to the sun to supply its energy needs. city officials released details of solar its dollars philly a plan to bring solar energy to 500 city rooftops. >> trying to promote clean energy, opportunity, and reduce carbon pollution, and solar eyes philadelphia, really accomplishes all of the things. >> members every city council and officials from the energy authority outline details of the plan on the rooftop of the parkway central library, solar eyes philly campaign hopes to fill 10,000 energy jobs, expected to be complete by next year.

not one loan soul. like you mentioned, really mild outside. i have a feeling the board walk plaza, boardwalk, beaches, all will be pack here today, especially because it is a friday, for one thing, but the weather is perfect beach weather. let alone anything else you have going on outside. very calm, quiet right now, may be shower that moves through that area over the next hour or two. and you can see the tail end of the front. we had mentioned it would be fizzling yesterday, definitely is, but left behind couple of damp roads here in philly, still moving its way out through southern new jersey, the next guy, what's going to bring our next shot of showers or thunderstorm, we do have pretty active forecast, but no day looking to be a wash out at this point. today, though, ya, it is basically june, with this kind of a hi, 84 degrees, and sunny skies, sun coming up at 04:00, may still be some clouds around, overall i think it will be pretty decent sunrise, looking ahead to the next draft night pick beginning 7:00 p.m. on the ben franklin parkway. 78 degrees at 7:00 at night on april 28th. i mean, not unheard of, but

definitely rare. this will be a very warm evening for you, obviously, now looking ahead, we've upped the expectations, guys, remember the record to beat is 90. i don't think we will get there. but 87, now, the high for tomorrow. so sun block is a requirement the next few days, and even though we are going to see a couple of showers or thunderstorms along the way, as i mentioned meisha, no wash out expected just a lot of ups and downs on the thermometer. >> that's what it looks like, katie, thank you so much. and very good morning to all of you. so what's going on in the world of travel already this morning? a lot of accidents out there right now, guys. serious accident here, clayton, new jersey, route 47, delsea drive closed at academy, both directions, so this is both directions, you will have to use alternate, heads up on that, also, downed utility pole in that area, as well. accident also in east oaklane, took my creek parkway closed between johns road and ashley road. you will also have to use an alternate here. rising sun avenue is going to be your best bet there.

torque stock exchange, good morning, so toyota issued recall for one of their popular pickups, what do drivers need to know about this? >> good morning, jim, rahel, auto maker is recalling certain models of its popular tack kona pick-up truck, says oil leak in affected vehicles could cause rear wheels to lock up, leading drivers to lose control. toyota has not said if the problem is responsible for any injuries or deaths. >> well, uber, i understanded, getting little more transparent. what can you tell us about that? >> yes, interesting. soon that five star rating system will reveal passenger scores, on the app most people only see the drivers marks. the move is meant to keep customer bag bee -- bad behavior at bay, if they know their rate something visible. and we do hear some stories, guys, some viral videos of passengers not acting as they should. >> i did a story about a year ago about those, a lot of people don't realize they rate you. >> well, they should be.

looks like the weather will cooperate. that said, active pattern here, guys, because of the way the pattern is unfolding, we expect to hit 87 degrees tomorrow. the record, say what? i know. the record to beat, rahel, is 90. that will was set all the way back in 1974. jim, were you just a we lad, right? >> yes, i was in elementary school. >> i knew you would remember off the top of your head. and we are expecting for now, also, lots of sunshine with time. but the temperature to rebound to the 80s once more. couple of showers currently throughout primarily obviously through new jersey, southern half of it, then down through delaware, kent and sussex counties. here in philly couple of damp roads. i think basically done. any of the showers will clear on out, left with sunshine, high of 84 degrees. for day two of the draft. and then, tomorrow, meisha, i think generally stays partly sunny, may be shower or thunderstorm along the way, but i say the bigger story here is absolutely the warmth of tomorrow. >> yes, absolutely, katie, do you think they should bring the umbrellas tomorrow?
