sumneytown pike and chesterfield drive. one lane open there. then we have a serious accident in clayton, new jersey, route 47, delsea drive closed academy street, because that far use alternate, route 55 or frysmill road is your best bet. another accident east oaklane took any creek parkway closed between johns road and ashmead road. a lot more coming up in ten minute. >> exciting time in philly with the eyes of the football world focused on the ben franklin parkway. >> that's where the nfl draft is taking place and where our pat gallen joins us with the news about the newest eagle. good morning, pat. >> reporter: good morning, guys. huge amazing night down here on the parkway last night as tens of thousands packed it into see miles garrett become the number one overall pick going to the cleveland browns, which was a crazy evening, because three wide receivers went in the first nine picks, three cornerback first 12 picks, really of course all eyes here are on what the philadelphia eagles would do and here is how it went down.

>> with the 14th pick in the 2017nfl draft, the philadelphia eagles select derrick barnett, defensive end, tennessee. >> derek barnett is a 20 year old defensive lineman out of tennessee. he turns 21 on june 25th. he is six-three, 260, his main role to get to the quarterback, put up impressive numbers, his claim to fame, eagles fans, listen to up this one, he broke reggie white's career sack record as a junior, last year. really impressive. so here is the newest eagle, derek barnett. >> they're going it push me every day to get better. i'm very excited, learn to pick their brains, try to pick their brains, you know, watching them, and anything to help my game out.

memorial for slain state trooper stephen ballard continues to grow. tran, good morning. >> good morning, corporal ballard shot and killed in this wawa parking lot in bear which remains closed and taped off to traffic and take a look at why. this is the growing memorial here. you can read all of the message, you get real emotionalment see things from kids, you see a lot of supporting our police here. and at the same time, as people continue to mourn in this community, we are learning so much more about the man police say pulled the trigger as well as the life full of promise that he took. >> the ripple effect every an evil act felt throughout delaware. a protector of the community killed in cold blood. >> he was a hero. he was a hero down here. sad, sad, can't take no more. >> corporal stephen ballard's wife without a husband, his daughter without a father. two families destroyed, a community shaken. >> my father was a police

officer, and we worried all the time about him. and it just hits home. >> neighbors in middletown about 10 miles south of the shooting scene subjected to an intense 20 hour stand-off with a suspected shooter. identified as 26 year old burgon sealy, junior, eventually shot and killed by law enforcement after finally coming out of his father's home thursday morning. >> it was one of the words i'm looking for? it was just stressful, stressful. because you didn't know what was going on. >> a look into seally's past showing prior gunnar necessary 2013, the question on the mind of so many, why? but with the suspect now dead, you may never know the answer. corporal ballard's fellow troopers instead focusing on remembering their dedicated colleague who never made it home. you. >> know you hear about the person with that proverbial smile that just light up the room. that will was steve. very personable. >> and as this memorial continues to grow, with each

closely, rub the eyes little bit here, but even few little lightning strikes doppler indicated in the last couple of hours, but really just evening out couple of showers locally. those are clearing. they're currently over southern new jersey. here is the next storm system getting it act together. that will be the next frontal passage, come in as warmfront, kind of hang out over the course of the weekends. that renews our shower or thunderstorm chances even still, up until sunday, we keep the nice weather around. even despite cold front passage. actually warming up even more so here today. by saturday, though, comes that warmfront. then we are going to really heat up on saturday, with nearing record warmth, mid 60s, by sunday, that's quite a turn around, part of that is because we will see this hang out on shore flow develops, lots of clouds are out there, there will be potential for even shower or thunderstorm, on sunday, but let's back it up, talk about the rest of the draft here. shorts and t-shirts weather if i ever saw it. eighty-four, hot, sunshine, sun block required. and stay hydrated here, out in this. couple every cloud tonight. very mild, the draft picks
