3300 block of malta street in kensington. two men, on bikes, road down the street and started firing at the father and son sitting on the porch, the 26 year old father apparently tried to shield his two year old son from the gunfire, bullet struck the dad in the right knee, and son ended up taking brunt of the gunfire, shot four times in the back. captain george fuchs of philadelphia police says that police did interview witnesses at east detectives, and started a search for the gunman. massive man hunt, plane clothes marked, our aviation unit. we have k9, all kind of people trying to find these. >> so large search going on for those two men, but at this time, there is no motive. also, no weapons that were recovered. coming up in the next half

what a difference a day makes. right? we're dropping just about 20 degrees today. meteorologist, matt peterson liver out there on the cps3 skydeck with the eyewitness weather forecast, so matt how does it feel out there today? >> i have to be honest. it really feels pretty great out here this morning. the humidity, is down, the temperatures are more than reasonable. and there is even a little bit after breeze, that is coming through right now, as our cold front continues to push just to the south, and through the delmarva right now. but again, overall, it is a great morning, i've seen couple of people. just took a quick peak, morning doing their morning work out, running around, looks like great morning for that. but you would need maybe at least a light jacket, if you are doing any kind of outdoor activities here early this morning, because again, it is a little bit on the cool side. now, no precipitation right now here in the philadelphia-metro area. just to the north, you can also see there off to the west in chester county, off to the north, toward berks county, toward reading, some light shower activity is developing, maybe little bit every few

also recovering at temple university hospital, but is in stable condition. now, this is video from that scene from last night, after this all unfolded around 9:00 on the 3300 block of malta street in kensington. police say that two men on bikes, road down the street, and then started firing at that father and son. the 26 year old father apparently tried to shield his two year old son from the gunfire, that dad has a gunshot wounds to his right knee, while the son unfortunately did take the brunt of the gunfire, who was shot four times in the back. captain george of philadelphia police says that authority interviewed witnesses at east detective, and that there is an ongoing manhunt for the two gunmen. their driving these big mountain bmx bikes, one has wide wheel in the front with color spokes. and they were last seen going west on westmoreland. and then south on potter.

weekend to get out and enjoy yourself. now, our eyewitness weather watchers are up early this morning talking about 60s across the majority of the region. head little further north, john, coming in from perkasie, talking about it being 58 degrees little further north with the cloud cover out there, as well. and again, much of the rest of the area, we're in the 60s as we head out here, let's go to ed, he is saying 62 degrees in chesterfield this morning, with little sunshine, maybe breaking through the clouds. also couple of good pictures, bill from the philadelphia area took this great picture this morning of the sunrise coming in just an hour or so again. so great morning with the sunshine, slowly breaking through the clouds, unfortunately, there is going to be more cloud cover than sunshine. it looks like throughout the afternoon hours today. outside currently, few areas of some light rain, have started to develop, especially north and west of the city. now the kutztown area, not too much in the way of precipitation, looking at the neighborhood network camera, but 55 degrees, so much cool they are morning than what we

had yesterday. the east northeast wind, 6 miles an hour, the ticket to the cold front that went through last night just now exiting the region down to the south here this morning. this is what we're expect willing throughout our saturday, sunday, for the weekends, big time changes. coming few spotty showers again already out there. they could last through at least the morning hours, looks like much of the afternoon and evening should be dry. that's good news for us. and whole lot cooler and unfortunately not too much sunshine so maybe not the greatest saturday and sunday, but compared temperature wise the last few afternoons, getting relief from the heat and humidity. storm scan3 here this morning, showers are out there. maybe few isolated downpours, as well, around the pottsville area. as you head into berks county around reading we're getting light shower activity just north of reading little bit, more pockets of moderate to heavy rainfall. and back down into parts of chester county getting some shower activity that could be a little bit on the heavier side from time to time. besides that shower activity, that's off to the north and

west of the philadelphia area, we're at quiet conditions, across the northern suburbs, back out to the east, and down to the south, as well. but we are going to watch, the shower activity chester county continues it track eastward, could bring shower here to the philadelphia area. maybe in the next hour or so. as we go through the rest of the morning, cloud cover going to be our main story again, few spotty showers, can't be completely ruled out through at least the first half of the day. once we get into the afternoon, looks like, cloud cover will be the main concern for us, not whole lot of sunshine. that will hold our temperatures down, probably, only into the mid to high 60s, across much of the delaware valley, through tonight, we look for partly to mostly cloudy skies, our sunday, as a whole, will see mix of sun and clouds. now our future weather here shows a lot of sunshine for tomorrow. we'll see sunshine, but probably little bit more cloud cover in the forecast than what we're showing right there. then as we get late sunday, and start to move into monday, when the next system will come out of the planes, it will be moving across pennsylvania, see some shower activity, maybe sunday night into monday

morning. with our cold front sweeping through monday afternoon, thunderstorms will be a possibility. heading outside this afternoon, much cooler than it has been, 68 degrees for our high temperature today. few spotty showers are out there, again, generally overcast skies, so if you are headed down to the river for stotesbury, make sure do you have maybe light jacket. wouldn't hurt to at least throw the raincoat in the car. probably won't need it though, that's good news, mostly on the cloudy side tonight as well. 49 degrees, so much cooler tonight than we have been recently, i suggest open the windows with the low humidity this evening, and getting some fresh air in, after we've had to crank the ac the last couple every days. sun, clouds, 67 for tomorrow. 70s for us with thunderstorms on monday. and we continue that theme of 70s with few spotty showers through the weekend. >> all right, matt, thank you. it is prom season and one local school is ready for their big night tonight. the prom at pens berry high school bucks county once called the best prom in america. and as our natasha brown reports, this year's prom is shaping up to be unforgettable

>> let's get final check on the weather, what a difference a day makes, 20 degrees difference at least. >> giant difference from yesterday, to today, had our first official heatwave with three days in the 90s, now in the 60s. so 180 from what we've had. few rain showers out there this morning, as well. it looks like for the most part that precipitation will stay north of the city. but, there is a little bit of moderate rainfall in chester county that's going to possibly maybe scrape some of the philadelphia metro area. so here this morning, take maybe light jacket, umbrella, but looks like later this afternoon it will remain dry, cloudy. sixty-eight today.
