>> ♪ >> live from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia, this is cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> somebody please come forward and tell me please who did this to my son. >> a mother pleading for help tonight to find the two men who shot her toddler four times. good evening everyone, i'm natasha brown. thanks for joining us. we first told you about the two-year-old little boy being shot last night at 10 o'clock and tonight the boy's mother spoke with "eyewitness news" reporter alycia nieves. alycia. >> reporter: natasha, the mother that of two-year-old boy shot four times told us

he's a fighter. he was taken to the hospital last night in critical condition but he is now stable. now she's dealing with her on fight to find out who shot her baby. bullet holes riddled the outside of this home on malta street in kensington where friday night a father and son was shot. his mother identifying him as her only child price johnson. >> if somebody seen something on malta street yesterday at 9 o'clock please come forward. i hope you rot in hell. that was a two-year-old baby that you guys shot. he didn't deserve this. >> reporter: she was working her ups job when two men fired bullets at her son as he was in his father's arms on their front parch. >> porch. >> i asked him what happened. he said i'm scared. daddy fall time. >> reporter: the two-year-old was shot four times twice in the leg and twice in the arm. he was immediately rushed to the hospital in critical condition. >> everyone on the block loves him. he's a sweet kid.

he's in there fighting right now. >> reporter: despite a massive manhunt minutes after the shooting. >> got all kinds of officers, you know, plainclothes marked, we have our aviation unit. >> reporter: philadelphia police say they have not made any arrests. authorities have had few witnesses willing to come forward. today ms. johnson is getting comfort and help from this woman who lost her brother to gun violence in kensington. she's going door to door pleading with people to speak up. >> the whole mentality of the whole snitching thing has got to go. any time a two-year-old get hit somebody's got to speak up. >> reporter: earlier today about an hour and a half after being over on malta street in kensington we were able to find a witness who didn't want to use his name or show his face but he told us that he saw two men riding on bikes. they came down the street there. had the time to stop briefly look at the father and son and say "this is our block." then they started shooting. reporting live in the sat center alycia nieves cbs3

"eyewitness news." >> thank you so much. police have given out a description of the two suspects that they're looking for at this hour. both are said to be black men in their 20's. one was wearing braids and was last seen on a bicycle with a duffle or a book bag. the other was also riding a bike as well. anyone with information is asked to contact police right away. and now in north philadelphia, a two-year-old boy fell out of a third story window this morning. it happened on the 2100 block of dover street around 11:30. the child is stable at hahnemann hospital. no word on how that child fell out of that window. and we're also following a developing story tonight t11 people are injured when a rear deck collapses in the roxborough neighborhood of philadelphia. police say 16 people were on the deck just before 9 o'clock this evening on the 8800 block of ridge avenue when it gave way. l and i is now investigating the cause of this collapse. after days of warmer weather, it was considerably

cooler outside this evening. some rain fell around the region. looks like more might be on the way this week. meteorologist chelsea ingram has the very latest for us on the rest of the weekend. >> today was definitely our reality check right. take a look at temperatures. right now they're in the 50's. we made it officially to 76 degrees today but that actually occurred after mid might. the temperatures then tumbled and most of the day we were in the 60's. 56 degrees in atlantic city we've got winds coming off the ocean and they have been contributing to a cooler day out there. definitely a big difference compared to just 24 hours ago. 32 degrees colt in mount pocono to a 24 degrees colder right now atlantic city. right now things are quiet on storm scan3 but we'll zoom out. here's our next system that's taking shape in the center portion of the united states. this is heading our way sunday night into monday bringing us quite a rain.

vile more coming up in a bit. for now back to you. >> thanks so much. divers continue the search of the delaware river for a missing swimmer in northeast philadelphia. tonight family and friends are just praying for a miracle at at this point. "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan has the latest from pleasant hill park. >> we was just trying to have fun like usual teenagers do. >> reporter: kendall caesar says he and three friends were jumping off the boat dock to cool off friday night when fun turned to panic. >> we was jumping in at first and the current we didn't feel anything. the last time we jumped in before we was going to go home we jumped in. next thing you know we all started just moving. >> reporter: the victim identified by family as 16-year-old antawn fox never made it to shore apparently caught in the swift current of the delaware river. >> one of my other friends he tried to get him and then i tried to go and get him too but the current was real strong where we couldn't help him because we and started struggling ourselves. >> reporter: eyewitness steven smith says the scene was chaotic along the dark

river. >> they were all panic. they went in looking for him hm everybody came over. that's when the fire trucks came. >> reporter: fox's family provided "eyewitness news" with this picture and told us antawn was not a good swimmer. marine police searched along the river bank all day saturday as family and friends prayed and cried together. caesar says that he and fox were classmates at abraham lincoln high school and played football together. >> a teenaged thing you ever see like in the movies where they all jump together. we tied to do that last one together. >> reporter: we did see a helicopter over the scene earlier on saturday. no word from philadelphia police what the plan is going forward. in northeast philadelphia, i'm cleve bryan cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> a 300-acre forest fire in shamong township burlington county, new jersey, is now 50 percent contained. evesham fire rescue sent us this photo of the fire burning off route 206 near dingle town road and bard's bit. thwart say the fire was sported about 9:45 this

morning. no houses at this point in danger. and a plane collides with a utility truck while taxiing at los angeles international airport. eight people were injured in this accident. the aero mexico flight struck the vehicle causing it to overturn. this all happened after the plane landed this afternoon. firefighters say all of the victims were on the truck and their injuries are not life-threatening. the cause of the crash is still under investigation. and we are learning new details about the moments before a turkish national tried to break into the cockpit of an american airlines flight to hawaii. passengers say the 25-year-old was unruly before the flight even began friday. he attempted to sit in a first class seat that wasn't his. a flight attendant escorted him back to his seat in coach. passengers say then he started mumbling to himself. he put a blanket over his head and started making with hayes toward the cockpit. >> our first concern of course is for the safety of the passengers and the flight crew and i made a report that there were no injuries aboard flight

31. the interviews have confirmed that the cockpit was not breached prior to previous reports. >> authorities say the suspect had been drinking before he boarded the flight at los angeles international airport. stranded for hours. the joker coaster stopped in the middle of the ride as a wind and rainstorm moved through around midnight. eight passengers were strand for more than three hours before firefighters rescued them. a six flags spokesperson said severe head winds caused the agent safety system to automatically shut down the ride. the rollercoaster is opened now. president trump is receiving a very warm welcome in saudia arabia. it's the first stop on his first foreign trip as president. president trump reason king salman took part in a traditional sword dance before a royal banquet tonight. earlier the president and

saudi king announced new deals between the two countries including a $109 billion arms deal and investments in u.s. infrastructure projects. >> community is very happy and we want to thank you and saudia arabia but hundreds had of billions of dollars of investments into the united states and jobs, jobs, jobs. >> tomorrow the president is expected to give a major speech on radical ideology and eradicating isis. today crews in new orleans took down at the city's fourth and final confederate monument a stash chew of general robert e. lee. the removals follow a two year debate over confederate symbols and some argue they represent slavery and injustice while others say they represent history and heritage. >> the historic record is clear. robert e. lee jeff davis pgt bauregard statues were not erected to just honor these men but as part of a movement which became known as the cult of the lost cause.

married woman. she was wed today in a small english country church surrounded by royals and celebrities. three-year-old prince george took a starring role with his younger sister as attendants to the bride. academy award winning actress helen mirren delivers the commencement speech for the tulane university graduating class of 2017 using humor and puns the actress delivered a speech filled with notable life advice and subtle digs at politicians. she gave the class her top five rules for living a happy life before finally being presented with an honorary doctorate. >> i'm going to share a few rules that i've picked up during my life. i call them helen's top five rules for happy life. rule number one. don't be in a rush to get married. >> well, among her other tips always treat people with respect, be a feminist no matter who you are and ignore anyone who judges the way you look. good advice.

hundreds walked to change lives today. mount laurel, new jersey, hosted the 13th annual autism speaks south jersey walk. the fundraising event is dedicated to improving the lives of people with autism. i was happy to emcee the event again last year. saw lots of familiar faces and new faces and there were a lot of teams supporting this cause. they were walking for their children, grandchildren and friends as well. many people laced up their sneak nears media today. rose tree park hosted the walk for the wounded. many wounded veterans received the star treatment as they arrived in some nice cars for the ceremony. our ukee washington hosted the festivities. today's goal was to meet the needs of wounded veterans and their families. today also many folks got dressed up in northern liberties to watch the next race toward the triple crown. it was big turnout for the preakness at the piazza is the schmidt's commons. the horse race was the

backdrop for one of the great horse racing events of the year. they raise money for the multiple sclerosis so. the event has raised nearly $500,000 since it began four years ago. and now the first man to successfully climb mount everest in that 2017 is speaking out about his amazing journey to the top. he's a nepalese fighter. he was part of of a 14 member expedition. the soldiers were set to attempt to climb in 2015 but they were forced to return after a earthquake killed dozens and forced the mountaineers off the world's tallest peek. >> one of the proud moment and one of the most turning moment in my life. >> the snow was clear enough for a safer journey. that's got to be an amazing journey. >> really cool. >> wow. i did get rained on a little

bit earlier chelsea, just a little. >> today was kind of a reality check, right, from what it was because we had the summer like heat for awhile. >> yeah and i had my jacket on. >> and then all of a sudden today 60's. we made to it 76 officially for our high temperature and that occurred after midnight. then the temperatures tumbled into the 60's and here's a live look outside at the city. we're actually dealing with partly cloudy skies out there and that's going to be the case as we head into the overnight hours tonight about the temperatures are cool. our live neighborhood network shows these numbers in cape may it's right around 57 degrees, 58 in new castle. in philadelphia it's 57. then in pomona it's 56 degrees right there. it's been cool along the beaches and especially inland and it's all thanks to this wind direction coming right off the water. now, take note of what the ocean temperature is. 58 degrees. so, that's really been influencing our weather today with number one clouds but also significantly cooler temperatures compared to what we dealt with, yes, the past several days when it felt like

summer. 57 degrees in philadelphia, 53 in allentown, 54 in trenton. right around 56 degrees in atlantic city. we're much colder compared to just 24 hours ago. in fact 13 degrees colder in mount pocono all the way to 24 degrees cooler at this hour in atlantic city. it's right around 18 degrees cooler in the millville area. another cool day on top on sunday but then the theme as we head into the rest of the week is going to be the return of springlike temperatures. that's because we're not forecasting highs in the 90's. at least not this week. they're in the 70's. 74 monday, up to 79 on tuesday, 77 on wednesday. so, tomorrow a chilly start on tap. you can look for temperatures upper 40's lower 50's depending on where you live. it will be a cool afternoonly we'll have partly sunny skies and then our next chance for rain is going to be moving in overnight sunday into your monday so we'll be monning for this system as it moves up into the great lakes. it's going to swing a warm front through the region first and that's going to move through overnight sunday followed by a cold front late

on monday. the rain could be heavy at times and we could see rainfall amounts anywhere from about half an inch to around an inch and a half again all depending on where you live. we have to see where that heaviest access sets up. on storm scan3 really not a lot going on. some breaks in the cloud cover but here's our next system gearing up, the actual center of low pressure located over near omaha. this is going to be tracking directly up into the great lakes region and it's going to bring precipitation to our neighborhood. now, meantime on sunday, the day it's going to be dry. we'll see some clouds from time to time. we'll start off the day with probably a little bit of sunshine but then clouds in the afternoon thanks to that easterly component to our wind and then rain knocking on our doorstep as we head into the overnight hours sunday into monday morning you'll likely going to be using those windshield wipers as we head into the morning commute on monday. and then some rain, it's going to be heavy at times throughout the day on monday, eventually clearing out but not until about monday evening and then a brief area of high pressure will that build in for your tuesday.

so here's a look at your forecast for tonight. partly cloudy and cool, overnight low temperature around 50 degrees. as we head into tomorrow look for a high of 69. that is below average for this time of year with partly sunny skies. now take a look at your eyewitness weather seven-day forecast. it looks like this. monday is just going to be a mess. you're going to need the rain gear. look for highs of around 74 degrees. tuesday looks like my pick honestly of the next seven days because you'll see that high temperature close to 80 degrees. a guilty of sunshine especially by the afternoon. he 77 on wednesday. things turn unsettled as we head into both wednesday and thursday with chances for rain. friday nor now looking dry temperatures in the 70's through saturday. the second half of the memorial day weekend we might have to bring some rain back into the forecast. >> all right. we'll check back in. thank you so much. lesley, the union they're on a roll, height. >> sure are. they're going for a franchise record and the preakness decided in the final furlong and it was a long day for
