live from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia, this is cbs3 "eyewitness news" at 11:00. >> this says do not enter. you do not go out there. >> a body is recovered in a delaware two days after a 16-year-old went missing near a boat dock. now the family is warning others to stay out of the water. a look at stormscan 3 shows the storms moving in for the start of the work week, we're watching the radar closely so you know when and where those storms will be starting. good evening, i'm natasha brown, thank you for joining us. the marine unit and the coast guard had been searching the water since late friday for any sign of 16-year-old antwon fox. and this to afternoon, they pulled the body ashore. anita oh was there and spoke with the teen's father. >> reporter: waves of emotion were evidence. >> my son, he was a beautiful

person. now i have a little closure. >> reporter: after larry bennett said he got the call he had been dreading >> the police told me they found my son underneath the docks. >> reporter: philadelphia police around 4:15 sunday they pulled a decomposed diver from the linden avenue boat ramp they did not make an identification. authorities have been searching this area for 16-year-old antwon fox. he was with a group of three other teenager boys that has any reportedly jumped into the water. >> fox never resurfaced >> only three came back up and it was just blue blue, three came. >> reporter: he saw the emergency response on sunday as crew removed the body from the water. >> they found right next to where he jumped. i left my mom 11 years old. i know what it's like, i feel bad for this family. >> reporter: one of the boys later told "eyewitness news" they tried to help him but that the currents were too strong, bennett is warning other kids.

>> reporter: a neighbor collapses after word a third person was killed in an early morning fire. no words to console her. firefighters raced to the hometown in the 5400 block of diamond. there were no working smoke detectors. some neighbors >> i heard a glass pop. >> reporter: already tried to get the family out. >> hollering up to the windows saying ms. anne come out the window your house on fire. >> reporter: karen said she tried to convince them to break the windows and escape. they even attempted to go in. >> we tried to get low and go in. but the smoke was so powerful, it pushed us back out. >> reporter: were they able to respond as you were yelling >> i heard ms. anne waking up her husband saying cameron said the house on fire. we got to get out. >> reporter: four people were home when the fire started. one survived and taken to the hospital. neighbors said for a broken leg.

they say the family was guided by faith >> she prayed for all of us, never said a cross word. her favorite line was turn it over to god, lien or god or pray about it >> i saw her last week. beautiful person. they. >> reporter: flyers tell us this family was instrumental in the war against crime on this block trying to make this neighborhood better for all who lived here. joel holden, cbs3 "eyewitness news" the fire department also dealt with a second fire today along west susquehanna huff in north philly, the fire commissioner tweeted out despite the incredible efforts of our firefighters and paramedics, it has been tragic morning. in that fire, the body of a pretty good woman was discovered. alicia nieves las more. >> reporter: emergency sponsored were called to this house for an early morning fire, they discovered inside the body of a

pregnant woman, she was 35 years old, lived on the second floor and was just five months along. >> this is a tragedy, somebody lost their life. >> she smiling, and just compassion and see this? is a shock. >> reporter: in the early afternoon investigators blocked the entrance of the house with crime scene tape and are investigating the fire here as suspicious. especially after this woman approached police at the scene, screamed with grief saying he did it. he killed her. >> why would you site fire knowing a pregnant woman was in there carrying a baby >> investigators possibly trying to answer that question took this woman in for further questioning, not releasing more information at this time. only asking those to come forward who may know more on how the fire here started or how the pregnant woman ended up dead. people who live in the neighborhood emotionally pleading same message. >> people around here if you saw anything, police snitching, we got to stop this with this, i don't want to snitch, i'm scared, no, you got to stop

because it could be your child one day. >> reporter: a fire marshal investigating the fire said it's going to take at least day or two to determine if it was intentionally set or not. again, for now, it is being investigated as suspicious. in the stat center, alicia nieves, cbs3 "eyewitness news." . authority say a crash during a power boat race at the jersey shore left one person dead and two others hurt. it happened shortly after 1:00 this afternoon at the point pleasant beach. the boats were competing in the small boat preliminary event. officials say an airborne boat collided with another sending three men into the water. the remaining races are cancelled and the cause of the crash is still unknown. investigators meantime searching for two gunmen who shot nine people in the strawberry mansion seconds. shortly after 10:30 on the 2500 block of north 23rd. authorities say the group was listening to music when two men opened fire on the crowd from

across the street. so far, there's no description of the suspect, no motive either, anyone with information is asked to contact police right away. a police chase in allentown ended with a suspect fatally shot by police after crashing into two police cars. started early this morning at the white hall pharmacy on the 4,000 block of main street. investigators say he entered the pharmacy and shot a clerk. he fled the scene and shot at the intersection of 19th and green, the pharmacy clerk is currently in critical condition at the hospital. president trump has wrapped up his two-day trip to saudi arabia with his speech on fighting islamic radical extremism the center piece of the visit. he spoke at trab islamic summitd asked the leaders of 50 nations to help him wipe out radical extremism >> muslim nations must be willing to take on the burden if

a hump back whale looked out of a way of the california harbor saturday. they said the whale was about 2530 feet long and r and stuck among the boats. it took at a full day but the whale finally found its way out. funeral plans are now set for sound garden front man chris cornell. he will be laid to reston may 26th. he will be buried at the hollywood forever cemetery. he performed with his band in detroit. the medical examiner's office ruled the death a suicide by hanging. he was 52. lean na dun nam cancelled her tour. recent surgery and physical therapy to treat endometriosis

here on stormscan 3, nothing hitting the ground just yet. that's a different, you have to travel out into central pennsylvania to see some of that precipitation finally begin to hit the ground. it's all associated with a system and a cold front that spans from the great lakes down into ohio and kentucky and tennessee, that will be swinging on through, and it will be bringing us quite a bit of rainfall. let's track this out for you on our future weather. the clouds next few hour, we will have rain building that just in time unfortunately for the morning commute. we'll have pockets of heavier rain during the first part of the day into the early afternoon for wilmington, philadelphia, on up into trenton, using windshield wipers for sure, things won't begin to taper off until evening hours on monday and things will quiet down by monday into tuesday. but it's just going to be a mess, you'll need the rain gear

pretty much all day. as far as rainfall amounts, we're thinking generally anywhere from half inch to an inch. pretty promising for the majority of the reach, however, from philadelphia south and east. inch and a half for some locations specially into northern delaware and pourings of southern new jersey, however, here's the good thing, doesn't look like flooding will be a major concern as we head into tomorrow. overnight, cloudy, showers develop look for an overnight low temperature around 55. as we head to tomorrow we're looking at a high around 71, periods of rain and could be heavy at times, particularly during the first part of the day, the seven-day forecast goes like this as we head to tuesday, look for high of 74 degrees, 76 on wednesday, we will have the risk for showers possible thunderstorm both wednesday as well as heading into thursday. but temperatures remain in the 70's, it's going to be feeling spring-like for friday look for a high of 76, it's gook partly
