seeping in from the south and west. with that said we edge up at 70 degrees later today, but very mild start. feels clammy outside, too you have the moisture, mid 50's down i-95, poconos, 59 degrees. rain, even rumbles every thunder with time, again the rain could be heavy at times, widespread amounts of about an inch possibly higher, looks like higher amounts will certainly be south and east of philly you could be ending up there upward of 2 inches out of the storm system, meisha. >> so with that said, you will absolutely have to leave your homes little early today. already, starting to see things pick up little bit. good indicator how bus at this will be. just now cracking the 5:00 hour, already plenty of headlights out there. looking at new jersey 42 freeway at creek road. see approaching 295 what you are working with there, getting a lot of the wet stuff to come back on your windshield. give a lot of extra time between the car in front of you, hopefully they'll dot same staying behind you.

what we are looking at on 42 truck fire, 168, right lane compromised because of it, you can bet it will start to slow you down, seeing patchy spots around there showing yellow versus green, helping us know we're traveling less than supposed speeds. malvern this accident, phoenixville pike, between connestoga road, yellow springs road, directing traffic up until around 10:00 a.m., jim, rahel, back to you. >> following developing story two people shot in new castle county delaware. >> trang do, pike creek, what can you tell us? >> good morning, rahel, jim. the scene has changed little bit since you left at 4:30, there was car in the driveway, silver lexus that was just towed away from the scene t had maryland plates. at this time we don't know how it is related to the shooting investigation here but again this happened here at this home you see with all of the lights on right here. let's take a look at video of the scene overnight.

this call came in after 11:00 p.m., 3200 block of champion drive that's pike creek section of new castle county. police are remaining very tight-lipped about what's going on here, but some six hours later investigator remain on the scene gathering evidence. have seen very meticulous evidence gathering at one time we saw an investigator just really focused on the door frame of this. who it is very early in the morning, but i just spoke to neighbor who was headed out on her way to work, she doesn't know very much about the person who lives in the home but knows a woman lives here had been helpful to her in the past. helped her shovel some snow. only one person that she knows of lives in this particular home again what we do know two people were transport today christianna hospital with unknown injuries at this time. we are waiting for update from police, but again, this area, the 3200 block of champion drive remains very active

california in the past two weeks, live guards there say they typically respond to one beaching every few years. very interesting, confusing, and unfortunate, sad, they weren't able to make it. we've seen different virus that is affect the dolphins, and can cause death. so there is stuff out there. but we doesn't want to speculate on reason why. >> two of the four dolphins were rescued, unfortunately, the other two did not make t something is going on there, if there is four in two weeks? >> that's sad. time 5:14, a check on the forecast here closer to home. looks like we are talking about rain. >> indeed we r quite a bit of it. i don't think at this point that any day is a total wash out. today though looks like it is pretty soggy day, that said, even though there will be some breaks along the way, you won't be just stuck in the rain. remember saturday two weekends ago, just rain all day long, that's not really the case this time. >> some of you will get doused

today, but won't be all day. just the rain will be around all day. so you will catch breaks in the action, you can see, there is few breaks already out there. not everyone is currently getting hit. but there is a lot of moisture to draw upon as i mentioned. so places like the del man have a peninsula, much of the region, engulfed in the moisture right now specially over maryland, all headed our way however. there is more, another system off to the south and west, dousing parts of the northwestern gulf of mexico, even southern louisianna, that will be headed our way with time as well. snow is just very active pattern for the coming week ahead. we should catch some breaks along the way but our grass has never look better. we have that going for us. but you may need to keep the umbrella on stand by. here is why. specially today. looking at future rain apartments, let this play out throughout the rest of the day. with time, parts of southed eastern, south central new jersey could ends up with 2 inches every rainout of this, as long as the heaviest rounds of rain end up moving

welcome back to cbs-3 "eyewitness news" this morning. >> pat is here with sport, phillies headed home from a long road trip. >> sometimes not your day, really hasn't been the phillies month. >> okay. >> been a while, yes. phillies long road trip finally over. it was ugly. through washington, texas, and pittsburgh, the phillies fell apart. now finds themselves on just a 59-win pace for the remainder of the season. good news, though, aaron nola back after missing a month with lower back soreness. he looked good. he made one mistake, no score in the sixth, he plunged david freeze with the bases jammed. adam frazier scores. and that's all the pirates would need. nola gave up only four hits in seven innings, the phils managed just three hits of their own, they lose one-nothing. they've lot seven straight series for the first time since 2006. they host the rockies tonight. >> the cleveland cavaliers record tying playoff win streak is over. and the celtics put a stop to it without their best player, isiah thomas. boston held labron james to just 11 points on the night.
