remain inside the home. see the troopers vehicle right outside of the house here, but take a look at the video of the scene overnight. female straight trooper got into fight, the fight soon turned physical. police say the boyfriend was severely beating the state troop hershey was able to get a hole of her service whop on, fired one shot into his chest then was able to call 911 to report what had happened. now, the trooper as well as the boyfriend, were transport today christianna hospital. both pretty severe injuries. >> take a look at trooper. >> she was being severely beaten by the boyfriend, which led to the trooper who was off duty grabbing her service weapon and firing one shot. striking him in the upper too far so.

(screams). >> neighbor there breaking down after learning the news the fire began early sunday morning at this home on the 6400 block of diamond street in wynnefield, four family members were inside. neighbors say they tried to rescue them but just could not get past the smoke. >> one of the guys had broke, kick the door in, but when we tried to get low and go in, but the smoke was so powerful it, pushed us back out. >> we are all loving and neighborly around here. and i will miss her. every time i think about it i cry again. >> woman died at the scene, woman and her son died at the hospital. nineteen year old man survived. the home had no working smoke detectors. >> officials say it will take a day or two to figure fought fire in north philadelphia that killed pregnant woman was intentionally set. the blaze happened here on the 2100 block of west susquehanna avenue around 7:30 yesterday morning. authorities found the 35 year

no fun to wake to up that on a monday morning, also no fun to sit in bumper to bumper traffic because of the roadways, plus, string of problems out, there and we've seen them basically all morning. >> traffic using outer lanes now. two lanes compromised. very slow moving around here steak a look at the back up shot. 213, accident in bucks county so if i were you, probably going to have to tack on extra 45 minute, maybe even moriarty point. because it looks like they're just snails crawling through the area. again, that's route one southbound before neshaminy, traffic using the outer lanes, the shot that you're looking at, back up shot, near route 213, also another accident here, the schuylkill westbound, past henderson road. block that left lane. kind of slow moving and past this area as well. and then we have a third accident, the blue route, southbound, the ramp to the schuylkill, as you come around that s curve there, pulled off to the right. so really take it easy if you

so you want to shop around. >> now you folks rated 50, almost, 50, several dozen, services, you also used customer surround veils. how do those work. >> we survey our subscribers, consumer report sunscreen ers in the area, plus few other groups. found really in addition to big price differ ren cents really big quality difference frost company to company. some companies were rated superior overall by really 80% or more, almost all of the surveyed customers, some got poor ratings, probably one of the lower rated services in terms every lots, companies with dissatisfied customers. >> if you're hiring lawn care service, they pretty much are experts in lawn care. >> yes, yes. not true. really frustrating. we get all of these different bids from lawn care services and you think they've prepared these lawn analyses, and you think each of the experts would come up with about the same kind of problems. and had the same kinds of solutions. well, they didn't even have the same kind.

came same weeds, disease, some can't even measure accurately. so it would be really skeptical. i think is one service skill okay to be pretty cynical about the expert advice you're getting up front a lot of companies we find don't really know what they are doing. most of them really give all of their different customers the same treatment. six treatments a year, when it needs it or not, they dumb the same stuff on the lawns year after year. >> what do you recommends? >> shop around. it is a pain, you don't have to be there when these conditions come to give prices but it does pay to be there. way you can size up the companies yourself, in terms of do they have more targeted approach or treat me like all of their customers six times a year whether it needs it or not. at that point set expectations for the company. you can let them know that do you or don't have a toll rans for weeds, do you want results right away or you don't. you know, i think important thing to let them know what your tolerance is for chemicals. a lot of these companies come, they spray herbicides, pesticides on your lawn

whether it needs it or not. if you don't want that, let them know. most companies do have natural organic programs. >> should i expect overnight result though? that is the big question. >> setting your expectations it is important because it lets the company really kind of decide what little of service to give you. you have to understanded, any company can come and make any lawn look good right away. any can be can come and dump tons of starter fertilizer on your lawn to make it look good right awayment that's not necessarily the best thing. more treatment aren't necessarily the best treatments. do try to set your expectations, understanded really the service that is matter the most will be fall service, fall fertilization, then -- >> it takes a wheel? >> it could take a while, especially if your lawn is in bad shape. >> thank you, westbound appreciate t for the next week i arranged our viewers to have exclusive access to the full list of dozens lawn care services rated by checkbook. log on to cbsphilly.com.
