on roadways, they're looking good, just ton of construction, katie, hopefully stays dry? >> at least for now we stay dry, for the morning looking good, another disturbance off to the south. i think the further north and west you go the better off you'll be or the drier you will ends up up, i should say. at the moment no one has any wet weather to speak of. see the hint of moisture beginning to creep in from the south. that's what will bypass us here. looking at the area tells usual, at 61 apiece both philadelphia, international, ac international, out toward mount pocono, you have much cooler early morning temperature at this point. 49 degrees there. as the day progresses, i think you'll get to the mid to upper 60s, resort towns probably low 70s at best in the city. any of the showers are very likely to be just off to the southeast of the city. there is a chance we just get clipped. so, if you're anywhere from the city on south and east, that is where you're likely to need the umbrella to be on stand by, further north and west, not terrible.

britain treating explosion at ariana grande concert as a possible terrorist attack. police say a man set off an explosive device at manchester arena. that man died in the attack. the number of dead and injured concert goers increased overnight. now stands at 22 killed, 59 injured. as read bin john report, the explosion sent crowds of people screaming and running for the exit. >> reporter: a deadly explosion rocking a area outside of glands' manchester arena monday night. concert goers left the show by pop singer ariana grande. inside the venue, there was confusion, crescendo of screaming then panic. >> oh, my god. >> a flood of terrified concert goers fleeing from the arena, as sirens flooded the air outside. the blast rocked the area just after grande had finished up her show. >> the concert attended mostly by young fans, many of them

tweens and teenagers. >> she went to the concert with her friend, spoke to her just before 10:00. and we've not heard anything from her since. >> terrified parents struggling after the attack to learn if their children were among the dead or injured. >> i don't know how people can do this to innocent children. >> ariana grande tweeting herself quoting broken from the bottom of my heart i am so, so sorry. i don't have words. police are treating the explosion as a terrorist incident and say suspected ied was used. officials saying the blast was likely a suicide bombing. a man at the scene identified as the possible attacker. cbs-3, "eyewitness news." >> british prime minister theresa may is holding a emergency cabinet meeting this morning. us department of home lan security is monitoring the situation in the uk. and says there is no indication of a specific credible threat involving music venues here in the united state. >> our coverage of the deadly blast in manchester continues all morning. cbs this morning has team

coverage with live reports from manchester at 7:00 a.m. after "eyewitness news" this morning. >> police looking for suspect after reported abduction in east falls. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live at police headquarters with more on the investigation, good morning, trang. >> reporter: good morning, jim, rahel. police are going off the account of one witness who said she stopped and pulled over after she saw two men fighting on the side of the road. now, police say, she is a credible witness, than her story does add up. but take a look at video of the scene overnight in east falls. this happened just after 7:15 near the intersection of robert avenue and fox street. the witness told police she saw one man come out of a brown mini-van, he then began beating up another man who had just come out after black car, the woman said then third person opened up the van's sliding door, that's when the man who was winning the fight pushed the victim inside and continued to beat him up. that third person then jumped into the victim's car, and then drove off.

>> that's when the person who was winning the fight got into the driver side of the mini-van, with the victim still laying in the back, closed the side door, and drove off, following the black vehicle. >> and the woman described the man who was driving that van as very tall, six-four, husky build, he was wearing a white t-shirt and black pant. now, police are looking at surveillance cameras in the area. they're hoping that they captured some of the fight and can provide some additional details. but for now, liver outside police headquarters, i'm trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> trang, thank you. meantime philadelphia police officer is recovering and three student are under arrest after a fight after school in juniata park. take a look, instagram video caught some of the kay owes, near septa's erie-doors da dale station. septa transit and philadelphia police did eventually get the situation under control.

>> they were getting off of the el. some got off the el, came down here, fighting with some of the student trying to get up on to the el. they had a fight out here. officers got injured in the melee. there was two juveniles arrested for that. and then there was another fight around the corn earn, another juvenile arrested for that. >> after school violence near subway stops have prompted increase patrols at stations throughout philadelphia. >> attorneys will continue with jury selection today in pittsburgh for the sexual assault trial of cosby. he will be charged, where the jersey being pick from western pennsylvania because of pretrial publicity. three men, two women, selected yesterday. the trial scheduled for june 5th. the 79 year old cosby is charged with drugging and molest ago temple university employee, back in 2004. cosby insists the sexual encounter was concentual. >> also happening today, closing arguments are expected in the murder trial of 23 year old dave creato, jr. creato is accused every killing his three year old son brendan and leaving his body in cooper river park in 2015.

there is no direct evidence linking creato to the murder, but prosecutors say he killed brendan to save his relationship with a teenage girlfriends. >> today a delaware judge will sentence at least one teen for her role in fatal 2016 school fight. the judge convicted a 17 year old girl with criminally neglect homicide. cell phone video showed her beating classmate amy joyner francis in the bathroom at howard high school of technology in wilmington. second teen was convicted of conspiracy, while a third teen was found not guilty of that same charge. the girl's may never go to jail because they were charged as juveniles. >> president trump is in the west bank this morning, meeting with palestinian president abas, after meeting with israeli prime minister, still critical of the iran nuclear agreement, but says still weighing whether to pull out of t he sees growing recognition among local nations, and they share common cause with israel, encountering threat posted by iran.

>> a man is attacked. surveillance captures this disturbing incident. take a look there is happened outside this 7-eleven store in west chest they are bay on may . twenty-nine year old barry baker mocked a man with cerebral palsy numerous times before sucker punch him in the face. the injured victim managed to get back to his car and call police. >> in this case, the victim really deserves a lot of credit. the victim kept his calm even though he was stunned by the punch, stayed calm, got back into his car. called the police. the victim showed a lot of dignity. i cannot say the same thing for the defendant here. >> baker surrendered to authority yesterday, charged with assault. bail was set at $25,000.

his preliminary hearing is set for may 30th. a septa bus driver is free on bail after his arrest on charges every disseminating child pornography over the internet. police found computer downloading child sexual abuse materials, while executing a search warrant at douglas maddux's perkasie home. the computer found to contain several thousand additional files of child pornography. maddux has been placed on administrative leave. >> new letter from a top house democrat is accusing general michael flynn of making false statements to investigators about who funded his foreign trip. according to the letter, from representative elijah comings, claimed his trip funded by quote us companies, but the house committee alleges russian tv network actually paid him. yesterday, flynn invoked his fifth amendment right and refusing the subpoena from lawmakers, investigating russian election meddling. >> we have to find out whether we have to either hold general flynn in contempt or whether

to get the legal answer to that first. >> and yesterday, new jersey governor, chris christie, who you might remember, initially, ran the trump transition, he says, he warned the president to steer clear of flynn, saying, if i were president-elect of the us, i wouldn't let general flynn in the white house, let alone give him a job. >> well, the time now is 4:44. >> katie is here with another check of the forecast. i had so many err ants to run, so many appointment, and it was a mess. >> even just little bit of light rain will really trip us up here in the delaware valley. and really just anywhere. deal with wet weather, automatically slowed down, even if just light shower, right? talk about rain amounts, we ended one surplus of the rain off the half of the area, here in the philadelphia area ended up with over half inch. places like millville, were you at two and three quarters after inch by the time the first system was said and down, more systems on the way here in the next couple of days. now i think thirst looks to me like it will end up being the most wet, widespread coverage

in the next couple of days, but we're definitely dealing with plenty of rain right now. not as though we don't really need it. i don't think we will end one any major flooding in the next couple of days, but we're good when it comes to drought status. in fact, we have none at all. it is completely just quiet right now in that regard. looking though off to the south and west, across north carolina, just crossing over the south virginia border, moisture beginning to redevelop, push our way, from separate system. so that's going to nudge in later on this afternoon and toward night fall, further north and west you go, more likely it is you end up dry throughout the day and night for that matter. but anywhere from the sit he on southeast, you have to be wary you'll ends one maybe shower if not light rain throughout the course of the day. now, with that said, initially to the north and west, patchy fog and mist that's been developing out there at about a half mile visibility in lancaster and reading apiece, even down toward dover, visibility less than ideal. watch for patchy fog in those areas, but let's take you through the seven day forecast here, because it is an active pattern it, looking as though

into next week, we will have a chance to moderate up on the thermometer, there are some brighter spots of this forecast. but again, late today, through the southeast, and then on thursday, especially, rain and thunderstorms move in for our area shall meisha. >> good to know. katie, thank you so much. very good morning to all of you. happy tuesday to you. so what are we looking at in the worlds of travel? good news, not the wet roadways so far we've seen yesterday as katie was pointing out. but a lot of construction out there, schuylkill westbound, university ave., right lane compromised, crews still out there. starting to see more vehicles hit the roadway now, and we usually see that happen little earlier, the day before very rainy, very slow, whatever the reason was, and everyone tends to leave their homes little earlier the next day, kind whatever we're seeing already, although it is still early out there. construction blue route northbound, left lane compromised there. seeing brake lights go off not because of congestion, more gape or delay, careful driving on by. then we do have an accident, one of the first ones this morning, souderton, central avenue north second street.

not quite the same. i get it. so we have some fog that's developed out there, guys. looking at one of the network shots, out go to certainly very dark picture. show it to you, i want you to focus in on the street lamps off in the distance. you can tell that there is a fog out there. so outside whitt fields elementary school, west lawn, outside to reading. but you have fog issues. we've seen visibility down to half mile in a lot of spot, to the southwest we go, where you ends up with more moisture, just looming offer to the south, that's going to fun nel with time. it does look like it will clip our area, so the further northwest you travel, the drier it will be. closer to the shore, almost guaranteed toned up with some showers today. philly you're kind of right on the edge. it will be one of those we just have to see how close it gets with time. but we're allowing for a shower some point. primarily looks to me like the showers will be confined southeast of the city, into southern new jersey, into delaware, where you ends up with heaviest rain yesterday too. now, in the next couple of days, we've got flip flop

pattern t looks generally like temperatures are going to try to moderate up by the time we hit the holiday weekends, which is fantastic news. although coy see shower come sunday, saturday looking pretty good right now, memorial day monday also looks as though it may bring us a shower, but to back it up, meisha, thursday right now, looks like pretty soggy day with rain and storms kind of any time. >> yes, kind of looks that way. all right, katie, that's really good to know, especially for the morning commute this morning, what you are waking to up not like what we saw yesterday. which is a plus, right, on tuesday morning, we need little relief after monday morning we had yesterday. because it was so busy yesterday, i can almost guarantee it will be busy again today just because everyone leaving their homes little early, they got caught in the mess yesterday. just common sense. construction schuylkill westbound at university ave. right lane still compromised when our crews out there pulled all the way off to the right. little slow moving, you travel on past there, but really we don't have any congestion there yet. still looking okayment construction here, near norristown, left lane blocked, crews have now just moved out of your way, so looking good
