>> live from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia this is cbscbs3 "eyewitness news". england on edge just one day after the terror threat level is raised to critical comes word of new arrests in the deadly manchester attack. british authorities are trying to determine if the bomber acted alone or whether there could be risks of further attacks. good afternoon i'm jim donovan. >> i'm rahel solomon. the father of the suspected attacker has denied his son's involvement or any links to terror group. teri okita has the latest now from manchester. >> reporter: british soldiers are taking up guard positions in london and other locations. so police can divert more officers to the bombing investigation. >> the level of activity in this

investigation is intense and continuing at a fast pace. we've made three further arres arrests. >> reporter: authorities are trying to figure out whether suspected suicide bomber salman abedi had help carrying out the attack. british tabloid publish his photo this morning. police are investigating his ties to libya where his family is from. >> i think it's very clear that this is a network that we are investigating. >> reporter: many people in manchester are coming here to the city's center to pay tribute to the victims and to show unity in the face of tragedy. many residents too stopped by are struggling to contain their emotions. >> it's just absolutely tragic. kind of really hitting home today more than ever. >> reporter: local officials identified all 22 people who died youngest victim eight-year-old satisfy fee r uss os. >> satisfy fee was beautiful little girl. >> more than 60 people are still in the hospital. many with serious injuries.

teri okita for cbs3 "eyewitness news". and back here at home flags are flying at half staff today at all new jersey state buildings. governor christie signed the executive order in honor of the manchester attack victims. >> state police are investigate a crash in the city's port richmond section this is chopper three over i-95 north downed past the betsy ross bridge at around 8:15 this morning. one person was injured no word on their condition. the crash tied up traffic in the area for several hours the scene, however s now clear. jury deliberations continue in the trial of david creato, jr. are the cam county father accused of killing his three-year-old son in 2015. jurors deliberated for about 20 minutes yesterday after hearing closing arguments. prosecutors argued that chris yacht tow killed his son brendan because the child hindered his relationship with a girl friend. the defense argued that creato is only a grieving father not a killer. jury selection continues for a third day in bill cosby's sexual assault trial. 11 jurors have been pick so far.

last night. united airlines plane catches fire forcing everyone on board to evacuate. airport officials say the plane was taxiing for take off when an engine burst into names. passengers and crew did escape using the emergency slides. officials say five people suffered minor injuries. the airport was briefly closed as a precaution. i do believe it's reopened since. thousands of car seats are being recall. we'll have important information for parents coming up next. plus the video is shock. sea lion pulling a girl into the water and now the attack is actually attracting tourists. what they're doing that could put them in danger, too. >> and they're survivors. adorable puppies born during our tornado touchdown. more when "eyewitness news" at noon continues. ♪

quiet beginning to the afternoon for us. now when we zoom it way out you cannot say the same across the entire eastern third of the united states. it's soaking wet weather across parts of northern florida. back up into indiana parts of kentucky. you've got some soaking rain out there at the moment with this storm system starting to show organization eventually it is will move in for us. so rounds of rain continues to the headline for our area even though that first batch from earlier this morning that's long since moved out. here comes the next storm. so i say generally after midnight when the next rounds of showers will come in. with that said, put it in the back of your head. i set the alarm an extra five, ten minutes earlier for tomorrow we'll have to deal with this if you're one of those early morning commuters throughout the morning drive. meisha you listening? all rig right. imbeded thunderstorms, showers lingering on friday just because it's a large storm it's going to need time to get over the real estate that it these cover. let's take you all the way to midnight this particular model doesn't bring any wet weather until maybe two, 3:00 a.m.

but again, as we're going on the air dark and early as we say at 4:30am here on "eyewitness news" there will be rain to track some of it will be soaking rain nonetheless. it looks even though he is comes through in an on and off fashion it's with you basically i was day there will be spots where you actually catch even some peeks of sunshine. but notice again showers thunderstorms are going to be with us right through the and tire day as the store continues to pull away up until the point this actually gets here coastal flood advisory goes into effect. it's not in effect just yet. 6:00 p.m. tonight, about seven to 8:00 p.m. or so when that high tide comes in. and that's about the time that we may end up with some coastal flooding so that's why you've got that range and it's really sort aftermath from all the rain we've had as of late worry about coastal flooding but here's just a sampling of a couple of our live neighbor network cameras. look how beautiful the afternoon has begun here in kutztown outside the middle school here. 64 degrees. a bit of a noticeable breeze but it's very pleasant outside.

whereas here, from palmyra cove nature park overlooking center city far in the distance you still do have a couple of peeks of sun but gloomier in this location. so just depends where you are. you are going to see breaks of sun throughout the rest of the day. the high hits about 73 degrees. as things have nicely dried out at left for now. but that next storm system is looming through the overnight it makes its rival we'll drop down to 56 degrees through the overnight hours. moving forward, not too much movement on the thermometer we catch break on saturday. in the way of wet weather just winding down for a time but there are more showers i think returning as early as sunday and maybe even lasting into monday though at this point i don't think either sunday or monday are washouts. but you may have wet weather to dodge. >> not ideal holiday weekend. >> exactly. >> okay. >> thanks katie. >> you got it. >> it's still a weekend. >> hey. this next story about overcoming challenge. >> meisha johnson is here with today's love it. >> it's easy to get consumed

with trials and tribulations every once in awhile a special someone comes along and shows our limitations are maybe not limitation at all maybe her ships are actually a blessing in guess guys. meet a woman who's beating all the odds and teaching lessons along the way. she it tough growing in columbia would be an understatement. born with a rare condition preventinpreventing growth of h. she didn't have it easy from the start and would it get more difficult before getting better. when she was toddler her father committed suicide and for years she carried the guilt believing it was her fault. she would later be abused both at home by a family member and in school where a teacher made her clive stairs on her elbows causing further damage at one point she tried to commit suicide. but survived by what she believes was a hand from above. and that's when her life began to change. with out her limbs, see began to paint of all things the pain and the beauty of life woven
