tornado tore through a mobile home park, fortunately all injuries were minor and also some power outages and property damage across davey county and other nearby areas. national weather service says tornado touched down around, wright paterson air force base in dayton, ohio there were a series of tornado warnings before the wind caused widespread damage and the warnings have expired. talking ohio, we are a lot closer to pennsylvania. so warnings have expired, that part same system we are seeing today. >> it is, we have a modest risk for severe weather, for del marva peninsula, southern parts of the new jersey which we will get to but main issue here today is soaking rain and morning drive, getting impacted by this storm system. we will start off by taking a look at the radar, really good place to start off, we have soaking rain, currently working its way through parts of the gloucester county now, salem county, really soaking rain there and working up i-95
5:15 am
just time before this really has a big impact or bigger impact on the city of philadelphia we have already had our fair share of just light rain to get out the door with some problems. now, throughout the second half of the day we will catch not necessarily a total lull but enough of the lull where you will see scattered precipitation. this is a large storm. it will take time and need time before it can completely clear out. later on today and especially tonight i'm concerned about heavier thunderstorms. here's the outline of that marginal risk. this is low wrist ago veilable the storm prediction center totem pole here. categorically marginal mean a low severe weather threat but just high enough risk that we can fall into that low potential for severe weather category. so it is mainly southern half of the region most prone and especially tonight that rain and thunderstorm could be at heaviest. we are not talking about any kind of high risk but there is a chance you see strong wind

out of this, certainly heavy downpours and frequent lightening but hail if not brief tornado isn't out of the question, not a guarantee far from it but always worth a mention. lets time things out up until noon time when we will see widespread heaviest of the rain, but lifting south to north, in delaware it will wrap up that heaviest rain sooner then noon time and much more scattered throughout the course of the mid to late afternoon. by the time we hit toward the tail end of the typical evening rush those heavier evening thunderstorms working their way through these two will be scattered in nature but they will be heavy where they fall, and that is where we end up with heavy thunderstorm activity. outside to the boardwalk plaza it is just a dreary start. we have seen a lot of troopers come out here, on the boardwalk even in the rain. i would be shocked to see people out here this morning. it is in the a pretty start to the day. that rain will be here for next few hours for sure. second half much more
