yesterday, we were saying rain coming in today, we were like, busy, yes, busy. it is very busy. we have more than six accidents out there overturned vehicles, tractor trailer, lot going on, we will get to that coming up. >> hopefully people have fore thought to set the alarm extra early this morning. that was a good idea, because take a look even though entire region is now encompassed by rain at this hour it is coming down light to moderate and some spots heavily. especially true now right over philadelphia and parts of the gloucester county where we have pockets of the steady heavier rain. this will be with us through the rest of the morning, this batch of steady rain. it looks like it will become scattered but we are in the middle of an all day event here, wind speed are certainly noticeable an on shore wind flow as high as 20 miles an hour. these are sustain wind speed in wilmington at philly international it is at 15 miles an hour but noticeable. wind swept rain in the less

this started as a armed robbery that turned into a standoff, fortunately it ended peacefully after about an hour and a half. now there were no customers inside the store because it was just about to close, but take a look at this video of police taking that suspect into custody. this happened just before 10:00 p.m. when media boro police responded to a report of the armed robbery at cvs report an baltimore avenue. he was trying to leave through the front door. man then ran back in the store and tried to leave from a rear exit but was met with another police officer. that is when police say man went to the upper storage area and barricaded himself, police were able to get the two employees inside the store safely. the department then called in central delco tactical response team for help, man eventually surrendered around 11:30 last night. at this time police have not released that man's name or charge bus they will release more information later this morning. for now live from media trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news"

back on "eyewitness news" this morning where we're looking at a huge funnel cloud threatening davey county, north carolina twister tore through a trailer park injuring three people yesterday. it also caused widespread property damage and power outages. another area, to see a tornado wright paterson air force base in dayton, ohio. high wind caused extensive damage in that area there were several tornado warnings before the wind picked up and national weather service has confirmed that this was a tornado. >> time 6:13.

katie, you said we might see possibility of severe weather. >> indeed, we do we have marginal risk issued for southern half of the region. i don't think severe weather is a concern. mainly just rain, nothing to mess with, we need to be careful as we travel with the ponding on the roadway, road spray, poor visibility all those things that come with the soaking rain but eventually with time we may have heavier thunderstorms. but right now in lightening indicated on storm scan three, not even back toward southwest here but with regard to the rain it is clearly out there and coming down steadily and heavily. future weather at on set is initial icing very much so overdone you are not complete ly encompassed with this kind of soaking rain but there is heavier pockets of rain out there as morning progresses, we will show you more for timing sake then anything. by lunchtime back edge of the first run is lifting through here and there should be a lull, i don't want to call it a total dry spell there may be

good morning to you on this friday eve. we have rain, rain, rain, katie pointed out, it is causing real problems for us. we have an accident here vine westbound ramp to the schuylkill all off to the shoulder starting to get a gaper delay as well and very busy. everyone taking it easy. by wait in delays at the airport yet but right new we are not seeing any. then we hanover turn tractor trail their has been since cleared but another accident route p-3 north bound closed at 295 use an ultimate nate church road at route 70 is your best bet. we have got down wires here and a down pole here as well so just take it easy. then we have an overturn vehicle still out there garden state parkway past ac expressway left lane compromised there and pennsylvania turnpike westbound past norristown right lane is compromised there. we have another accident out there in the mayfair neighborhood of northeast philadelphia, boulevard northbound at tyson avenue that inner drive right now is compromised and is there traffic lights out as well.

you can see by this yellow bub knoll longer traveling at posted speeds we are slowing down and more to talk about when we come back in the next 10 minutes, jim, back to you. down in florida police are on the hunt for a man spotted unplugging a bounce house, putting more than a dozen children in danger. surveillance captured the scene as bounce house, suddenly began to deflate this was at a one year-old girl birthday party. parents rush toward the house as it collapsed, two children suffered minor injuries. party goers followed the cord and noticed it was unplug. stranger just walked away after the incident. >> crazy people. >> think things through because this could have hurt the kid really bad. >> this is is in the the first time something like this has happened. she said cord to her christmas lights outside were cut around the holidays, that prompted her family to set up cameras, so far that man has not been

identified. it is 29th annual fleet week in new york city, a dozen navy, coastguard ships headed down hudson river yesterday and docked in manhattan. sailors will walk the streets of new york while tourist hopped aboard their ships. parade of ships made its way in new york harbor even military members are excited once they see island have manhattan. >> this is my first time taking part in fleet week, i'm a native new yorker. i was born in queens. >> reporter: one by 15 u.s. navy ships, four u.s. naval academy yard patrol boats, two u.s. coastguard cutters and one royal canadian navy ship cruised up the river. our cameras were on board the u.s.s. flagship of the parade. the ship is home to more than 1,000 servicemen and women. it is not just the ship that stand out but aircraft, pilot ed by our armed forces. >> using tie down chains to make sure they cannot move.
