himself. >> i know, so many people, and if they don't see me they come and say is giggy still here where is he at? where will you find something on the boardwalk that goes 2 miles, for three dollars per person, it is the cheapest ride on the board walk. >> tram car service is available at all points long the boardwalk, from the beginning to creek avenue to the end at 16th avenue in north wildwood. now, one of the tram cars just went by us not too long. if the tram carries just too slow for some of you thrill seekers can strap themselves into a just, revamped, roller coaster. it is called, the great nor'easter, on surf side pier. it has been around for a while but it has under gone a $5 million make over. not for me. nearly 2200 feet of twisted steel takes riders high up for a great view, of the shoreline , now if you have your eyes opened then you can

don't worry, uke i'm on it, checking radar we are dry so everyone out here on the boardwalk looking good right now but we are dealing with this breeze, that is why i have my wildwood hat going on right now. temperatures are feeling great , did you bring the guns out, generally in the low to mid 70's in the area at this friday before the holiday weekend. current temperature in wildwood right now 71 degrees. seventy-three in ac. seventy-four in philadelphia we definitely got that breeze, kicking in wind speed right now around 15 miles an hour along the coast and meteorological analysis tells me we have some gusts up around 25, maybe 28 miles an hour where we're standing, wind at 21 miles an hour in philadelphia, as i mentioned keeping an eye on the radar got it on my phone and conditions have been fairly dry, despite, all of the cover we have showers come through center city philadelphia over the last hour. little sprinkle tried to roll rel through longport closer to the coast but that has moved

where he was covering a different story at noon. route 130 is known for lots of traffic and getting on 76 east is an exercise in patients even without holiday weekend traffic. merging on to 76 i'm joined by fellow travelers from delaware , pennsylvania. welcome to new jersey, amghost >> so far i have been driving an hour and we are couple miles in the atlantic city expressway. that wants so much fun but good news it looks good right here. to my surprise the expressway isn't conn guess aid at all, passing farly plaza many fellow drivers stopped to refuel, rehydrate or hit the bathroom. i'm good let's keep going. >> it was fun while we are lasted we are by ac airport and things are coming to the crawl. >> backup expected due to cars getting ready for exit seven garden state parkway and cape may county beach towns. once we're clear from that it is smooths are smooth sailing to see 5,000 beach balls drop at resorts. >> well, here we are, we made it to atlantic city, just a

two hour tour, not bad for the friday of memorial day weekend glad we're here. we're live as you can see, the moral of the story here is people like beach balls. they really really like beach balls and it wasn't that bad getting down the shore. even though it is, otherwise to have a ball this weekend good luck getting to the shore live from atlantic city, cleve bryan cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thanks very much. we have some break news to tell but now, police are investigating the death of an infant in southwest philadelphia. authorities say the six week old boy was found unresponsive this afternoon, in a home on the 5800 block of willows avenue. child was rush to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly afterward, police are investigating this death as suspicious. dozens of passengers were hurt overnight when tour bus think were riding in collided with aid tractor trailer on the new jersey turnpike in west deptford. that crash sent 32 people to

international kite festival which is here, 32nd year we are doing. that we bring kid from the local schools in the morning they make kites. we have lunch. we unlock ocean officially. we have the lieutenant governor here. we had local mayor is here. we unlock ocean, and, that is the official start for kick off here at wildwoods. >> it is a big favorite of people that don't know a thing about it because they learn bit, standing on the board watching, they have asked a lot of questions too. >> yeah, there is a lot of people that do know about it that do come back but then for those who come down boardwalk and see it, they stop, we have a nice crowd. >> beautiful. >> turf say weather this morning was absolutely gorgeous. >> right. >> sun was out and it is going to be a great start to a good summer season. >> speaking of the season what can visitors expect for happening is here at the boardwalk. >> well, ukee, you know, wildwood, wildwood is here are very, very family friendly. we have a lot of events, we

have our boardwalk, we have our free beaches, we have events that go on the boardwalk four nights a week, entertainment, different band, string band come down the boardwalk. >> got to have them. >> we have fire works every friday night. >> nice. >> and then in different towns for four nights a week we have free concerts that go on also for family entertainment. there is a lot to do. a lot of value in the wildwood s. >> speaking of concerts as i mentioned coming back from commercial break there was a rumor that the boss bruce springsteen was seen in the area what is up? could there been a concert? what do you know. >> i know he was here yesterday. >> he was. >> he was. >> he was walking the board and if you asked him he was just here taking a walk on the boardwalk and that is what he says, but, you know, there has been talk that the sit of wildwood would do major concerts this season and, you know. >> he could be it. >> i think he wanted to take a walk on the boardwalk the day before memorial day?

seventy-three in cape may. we have wind kicking wind gusting to 30 miles an hour in philadelphia, hold on to your hat, your beach hats, 23 miles an hour wind gustness ac and gusting to 22 currently in wildwood. as far as satellite we are packed in with the cloud cover certainly overhead when we got here. we have much more sunshine. i got bronze but i like cool factor with the cloud deck but we did have a shower through center city philadelphia over last couple hours but dry conditions, for tonight we are keeping it dry, partly cloudy, seasonal, down to 59 degrees for our saturday increasing included as we kick off big three day holiday weekend keep an eye to the sky for isolated shower or thunderstorm late in the day. high of 77. memorial weekend outlook looking good. we have rain chances each day but in of those days will be a wash out, best rain chance will come on memorial day but again looks like best time for that will be later in the day generally high temperatures in the 70's before we creep

than are on this friday we're kick off cbs-3 summer fest, ukee and team are live in wildwood, new jersey, all evening, and ukee, i understand wildwood has a special place in your heart and your beloved golf game. >> well, jessica you know how much i talk about the game of golf. how much i like to play it. but when i was driving in town today i was having flashbacks to when i was eight or nine years old. take a look at this picture, this is me, at about eight or nine years old on a putt-putt course here in wildwood working on than my game where it all started. if you look very closely that hat is from dorney park, i think my mom and dad put that on me just to have the sun protect my dome, but i got dorney park hat on with my golf club, trying to win that free game, putting the ball in the alligator's mouth. thinks where it all started my putting is probably best part of my game right new because of the boardwalk here in

wildwood, new jersey, whether my golfing partners agree with me or not. there you go, there is the proof, and speaking of weather , lauren casey, lauren casey, it is getting so windy, is it going to die down? is the sun coming out a little bit before we're off the air. >> we had sun, did you feel it did the rain hit you over there, ukee. i felt it about five minutes ago but then sadly it went away, again, but we will be contending with this breeze likely especially in the evening hours. might die down after sunset but we will have a breezy go over next couple of hours. we have got weather conditions out of our mobile weather watcher which is park right behind me on the boardwalk here. our temperature 73 degrees. that feels g chill factor with that breeze, kind of 10, 12, 15 miles an hour, dew points not too bad in the middle 50's not too sticky out here. temperatures across the region are generally in the 70's.

we are in the lower 70's at shore points right now, cooler in the poconos for a hike on a friday, temperatures in the 60 owes and in the 70's right now in the lehigh valley but we have got that breeze kick in on the back side of the weather system that brought us all of that rain. yesterday thunderstorm activity, wind speed up around 12, 17, 21 miles an hour and we are seeing higher gusts, as well and again that breeze will stay with us over next couple of hours, satellite, radar showing us lock in with the cloud cover but as far as precipitation we have had light showers, couple of sprinkles, very sporadic in nature across the area couple of sprinkles trying to work through salem, cumberland counties in new jersey but we are dry here in wildwood and that is the key element, to be beach weather, of course. as we head in the next couple days we have a chance of showers as we head into our saturday, mainly west of i-95, a little earlier in our day ande of i-95 in the second half of the day. heading down the shore or
