earlier accident, upper providence township, route 252, it is closed between lakeview drive and route one media bypass, your alternate through 320, providence road, your best bet right now. then the world of mass transit kinked when line, some construction, buses replace all trains today through friday until june 9. trolley tunnel construction there, as well. you will have to use alternate, market frankford line, just remind tow make sure to check your schedules on line, back over to you, ladies. >> meisha, thank you. >> new this morning, philadelphia police are trying to figure out what caused a deadly train accident in university city that killed one person. investigators say, the victim was hit by a septa train along the market frankford "el." it happened underground at the stop at 34th and market streets, just before 11:00 last night. trains had to pass by 34th street station as officers investigated. and the search continues this morning for a man who attack philadelphia city councilman david oh. let's head taught "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, live outside police headquartersment good morning,

anita, what can you tell us? >> good morning, rahel. well, police are combing through surveillance footage from at least four different cameras, at this point, they believe that the attack was random, and a crime of opportunity. thankfully councilman david oh, was successfully taken out of surgery and now recovering at home with family. >> he said give me the car keys. give me your car keys. give me your car. >> knows are the last words philadelphia city councilman heard before a man stabbed him outside of his kingsessing home on the 5800 block of thomas avenue wednesday night. then he says two men who pulled up in another car asked the suspect if he needed help and recorded the incident. >> there was a vehicle where two guys came out, and i thought they were asking me if i needed help. do you need help. but then it occurred to me they weren't talking to me, they were talking to him. and they were out their car windows videotaping with their smart phones, you know, like

maybe what they thought was a fight. >> attacker eventually ran off, those reportedly attempted more jabs after stabbing oh,'s left side. philadelphia police, lieutenant john walker, says two men who recorded the video are not in trouble. and hope they'll come forward with the recordings that may help identify the suspect. >> we believe they're videotaping because they thought it was funny, thought it was interesting, not realizing it was an actually robbing and stabbing. >> darryl clark says this act of violence against councilman oh, is part of much larger problem. >> the city of philadelphia, i don't know about anywhere else, but all lives matter. >> early next week, council members are expected to mother with the mayor and other steak holders to develop aggressive initiative to curb crime. >> and at least one council member said she is focused on job creation, she believes it goes hands in hand with cushing crime. police say that stabbing suspect is a black man in his early to's, wearing white

now police in chan chester glands want to know if the soup side bomb here targeted was part of wider network of terrorists, released images before the attack, the bombing of course killed 22 concert goers, wounded more than 100, searching for the blue suitcase carried and want to know why he repeatedly returned to one area of manchester. >> well, former sixers player and coach maurice cheeks is out after philadelphia hospital and recovering from an undisclosed health scare. cheeks was taken to a hospital after suffering a medical problem on a flight to philadelphia last night, but there has not been any explanation about what that problem was. cheeks played 11 seasons with the sixers, and coached the team between 2005 and 2008. now a coach for the oklahoma city thunder. >> meanwhile, folks around the world are talking about president trump's decision to pull the us out of the paris climate agreement. mr. trump made his announcement yesterday afternoon. the president claims the accord hurts american workers,

whatever. judge emergency crews, sailboat both caught fire, vessel went up in flames near hole and dale beach north of miami thursday morning. firefighters and the coast guard went thereafter receiving may day call. they put the fire out, the man did not appear to be injured. the cause of the fire now under investigation. >> ♪ >> ♪ >> ♪ >> ♪ >> ♪ >> 5:14. summer fest continues today, last week at the shore, today in the suburbs. >> that's right. show, and a lot of fun, a lot of festive tis going on here. i don't know if you can see the ferris wheel lit up behind us, but the beautiful horses out here warming up for the day's festivities. for me, someone who hasn't grown up around them, it was pretty cool being here earlier this week. you get a chance to get up close and personal and good look at some of the most beautiful horses in the country taking part in a number of events. here's a fun fact about the devon horse show, you guys, it began in 1896. but by 1914, the devon horse show was the largest outdoor horse show in the entire country, which is a reputation that it still holds today. so a lot of festivities going on, as far as the horses, but even beyond that, there are shops. the ferris wheel is out there, as well, so a lot to do for the entire family when you come out here. we will be out here this morning until 7:00 a.m. then also later today, at 5:00, 6:00, 10:00, 11:00. jessica dean out here anchoring for the beginning of summer festment beautiful

weather going into the weekends, too. >> specially concerning the last couple of days. >> we are getting nice deserved break. couple of minor hiccups along the way here, it will end up being nice warm afternoon, how much, back to the low 80s, but with more sun than anything. again, though, hiccup along the way in the form of very weak little disturbance, front that's going to be dropping in from the north. that will will help trigger shower or thunderstorm later this afternoon, toward evening, but generally looking at nice day here. certainly beautiful morning, outside we go to storm scan three nice and quiet. and again, it is that set to stay that way at least for now, certainly, at least, up until lunchtime. not until mid afternoon or evening anything would fire up on the radar, also to the south. little bit of wet weather going on, but none that far will be impacting us once more we got some quiet weather to finally enjoy. and also, some comfortable humidity, if you maybe are waking up with us this morning, and you through the windows open last night as you headed to bed, really comfortable night, right? that's going to continue to be the story even through tomorrow. however, by sunday, humidity does ramp up. that's mainly because we do

have new storm system that will be advancing at that point. bring withing it certainly some wet weather which we will get to. but also a little bit more moisture content to say the least that's going to help ramp up the humidity of course. outside to cut town area middle school. beautiful start to the did i here as well. very, very calm morning, little on the cool side too at 48 degrees. but, something about the way the air smells out in the country side this time of year. it is just so refreshing. with that low humidity, it certainly is a great start to the day. later on this evening, if you are brave enough to go check out the phillies, you know, looks like we are going to maybe see spotty shower out there. but more sun than anything at 7:00. 7:05, that first pitch. you know, i think we've all been trying to have a lot of ph space with this team there is last month, it is a new month, hopefully new beginning for these guys. seventy-seven, hey, i'm rooting for you as much as the rest of us, guys, 77 degrees, generally with sunshine, spotty shower, rumble every thunder can't be ruled out. saturday looks pretty great
