transit. last night a person was struck by the train around 10:50 p.m. i do want to gave you an gave yn updatement market frankford line is back to normal. service resumed at 34th street station, so heads up though. make sure to check your schedules on line. we do also have a lot of construction, cynwyd, buses will re plane -- will replace the trains. your alternate market frankford line. a lot going on there, also, earlier accident we will talk about, i would say, in the next ten minutes or so, jan and rahel back to you. >> philadelphia police continue their search this morning for a suspect who stabbed councilman david oh. we were there as the councilman returned to his kingsessing home yesterday, just hours after the attack. he showed his wounds to cbs-3, police are now looking through surveillance footage from four different cameras, also want to talk to two men who oh, says reported the incident. >> there was a vehicle where two guys came out. they were out there car windows videotaping with their

beautiful day here. and these magestic animals really need a lot of attention and care to get to the level of something like the devon horse show. and you mention is that mother daughter duo, christie and louise sewer yo, they come here together, they have been doing this their entire lives. i got a chance to go behind the scenes with them to see how they get ready for something like the devon horse show. take a look. >> ♪ >> the pageantry, and beauty, of the devon horse show, is on display. and for riders from across the country, it is one of the most distinguished equestrian competitions, but also much more meaningful for the sewer yo family mom louise and daughter christy competing here together at devon. >> for me very special. i think having your children in your business with you is an awesome thing. it is often very difficult, but it is awesome to have her with me and to hopefully, you know, take over the rains. >> christie has followed in her mother's footsteps taking her expertise and cultivating passion for riding in the

jumper class. >> i just got into the jumper, probably when i was about 13, my first jumper. and i just kind of became an outlet to me, and i just really enjoy doing it. >> yes? >> have a great time with it. >> on the course christie isn't just competing, also helping her mother while she compete. >> she is a great support group for me. is a great yes critical eye for me, too, which is really important that she will notice things and bring them to my attention so that i can fix them. >> while riding louise specializes in a different class than christie. but at times the kennett square natives are fighting for the same accolade. >> we do compete against each other in the hunters. we do compete in the same classes at times, she beat me, i beat her, but you know we go back and forth, we're happy for each other. >> louise turns heads with her head's kings landing while christie competed when her horse discovery. >> this place holds a special place near and dear to their heart. >> devon is just a special place. special horse show.

everything about it is just special. >> back here live watching some of the horses warm up for the day and doors will open right around 7:00 with the first class getting underway at about 7:30. but today is a long day with competition going until right around 11:00. pretty cool to meet louise and christie, and the competition yet obviously ac mother-daughter duo, they get together very well, and they obviously have to keep up with these horses, which are such beautiful, beautiful creatures. so louise, christie, will be competing against each either. but also, as when we were here, on monday, louise won two awards in a short brief periods we were here. so very distinguished family, quite impressive stuff. so with summer fest being underway this morning, we will be here later on today, as well, jessica dean will kick it off at 5:00 p.m. she will be anchoring right here live from the devon horse

different shot down route one into rohoboth, already a lot of activity out on the beaches. still couple of clouds left over granted but really nice beginning to the day. let's bring it back though to the eyewitness weather watchers, who have been checking in this morning with some cool conditions, but comfortable conditions. a lot of times when we have our typical temperature map of observations, it tends to reflect some of the mildest spots, because really some of the more populated areas. but, places, this is where the watchers come in, like, for example, gilbertsville, 47 degrees starting temperature, she only sent this in, actually, within ten minutes from now, or from just the last ten minute, but nice clear sky for eileen. she has got cool, calm, clear conditions, really nice way to kick off this weekend for sure. we go to one more, across the river we go, into carry's report of 52 degrees, so also on the cool side out in mouth laurel. i want to go all the way up toward the mountains where it is some of the coolest air that we have, in terms every widespread coverage, but keith reporting 48 degrees, up in sailors berg, he commented on

the sunrise, how lovely it is, and i have to show you one of the shot he sent us, up at tankers ville, known for the outlet malls, beautiful start to the day here. so really nice beginning for everyone. and storm scan reflect that. later on today, likely however see bit more activity on the radar. that's from a very weak front that's going to be dropping in from the north. that will help trigger spotty shower or thunderstorm, health report not ideal. it is not bad either. air quality is moderate today. sent we are generally dry, pollen levels aren't too bad with all of the recent rain, but moderate. uv index of course is high. heat index, not technically applicable, but because it is such low humidity, but keep in mind, it is definitely going to be very warm day. right on the cusp where we are need to talk about it, 81 degrees, spotty shower, storm, tomorrow not bad, say for the spotty shower north of the city. but late in the day sunday, showers, storms, start to advance from the next storm system doing the very same thing. meisha? >> all right, katie, thank you, at least we have saturday and this beautiful morning. take a look at this sun.

just a moment ago, could you actually see the glare coming down the roadways, just beautiful. 202, tail light moving in the northbound direction before king of prussia. see both moving in the northbound and southbound direction on 202, big thumbs-up, looking great there. there is the sun. boulevard at fox street, headlights southbound direction, going to be behind you, you still want to pack your sunglasses, then the vine near the schuylkill, tail light moving in the eastbound direction, overall, everyone's commute so far, so good this morning, we do have downed wires from earlier accident in delaware county. now there is supper providence township, route 252, close the right now between lakeview drive and route one media bypass. your alternate route 320, providence road, your best bet. and then we have got some utility work, kings highway between washington avenue and tanner street. that will be closed until right around 6:30, another 40 minute or so, on that. and then we do have some construction crews out there on the pa turnpike eastbound between downingtown, valley forge, right lane is still compromised, as well, jan, back over to you. >> meisha, thank you. well former 7-eleven franchise

owner is so upset with the company, that he's now competing with them. take a look at this. the mamosa opened his six-12 store in south boston across the street from the old one. broke with 7-eleven when he wanted to stop selling hot food. the company wouldn't let him. so he lost his franchise, and settled out of court, half of his cup tears ers are actually ones from his 7-eleven days who heard about his story and wanted to support him. so i guess if you don't leak the rules, make your own and leave. >> good luck to him. interesting. >> the next time near city hall take good look at the clean up job for the william penn state ooh. >> "eyewitness news" got up close and personal look every ten years the city hires contractors to clean the hollow bronze statue from shoe to brim. the crew using lazer to clean the many pits and crevices then they heat and wax the copper surface, william penn state ooh has been watching over the city he founded since 1892. >> corrosion inside the pits it, gets in there, this

welcome back. beach go nerves georgia had quite the surprise thursday morning, when they spotted an alligator in the water there. people were asked to stay away, while trappers tried to contain the 8-foot gator. experts think it made its way to the shore, through a shipping channel, along the savannah river. the alligator is being held into the department of natural resources to decide what to do with him. i know, another serious thing to see at the shore. i don't like. >> this sharks, alligators? >> you stay in your part, i
