morning, how long will it last though? here's meteorologist matt peterson with the forecast, good morning, matt. how are we looking. >> we are looking great, but we will be kind of cooling things down a little bit this week. we are also going to be clouding things up a little bit as we go through rest of the afternoon and this evening so soak up this early morning sunshine if you can because it will be limited as we get later on in the day. storm scan three showing you cloud cover already moving into area up in the lehigh valley, poconos getting some of that cloud cover here early this morning, a few kind of returns there on the radar actually near mount pocono, very, very light returns so it doesn't look like that is even reaching the ground at this point but if it is, it is light, definitely not a rainy start to the day anywhere. but those bright whites are starting to move into berks county backup in northampton county as well, lehigh county, that upper level moisture working its way in and we will watch increasing included

cover across the delaware valley as we get through rest of the morning and afternoon. you see showers still well north of i80, probably staying north of i80 most of the day and poconos could get a shower we could see a stray sprinkle but our chances are relatively low. temperatures 60's as we head into philadelphia and east, and 50's for us in reading, allentown and poconos. temperatures giving way to calm wind, we will also watch for temperatures this afternoon to peak probably around 80-degree mark or so and then cooler wet they are week. we will talk about tonight a bit. >> thanks, matt. british prime minister teresa may say thursday elections will move forward as planned despite yesterday's terror attacks in london. here's what we know about those attacks. they began last night just after 10:00 o'clock london time, a van crashed in the pedestrians on the famous london bridge, the three men got out, start add tacking restaurant goers with knives

at a their by boro market. they were shot dead by police within eight minutes of the attack. seven victims have died, at lee 48 others are hurt, some people hospitalized are now in critical condition, and police say that the three attackers were wearing fake bomb vests to insight panic, prime minister may say campaigning will resume tomorrow and that the general election is taking place on thursday, correspondent riley carlson is in london with more. >> our country fell victim to a brutal terror attack once again. >> reporter: just after 10:00 p.m. on the busy streets of london heavily armed police officers swarmed london bridge area. police say a white van caused panic as it struck people leaving bodies lying in the roadway. then police say that the suspects ran to boro market a popular night life spot and stabbed patrons inside restaurants. >> all three were wearing what appears to be explosive vests. >> but police have established that this was fake and wore

dauphin this morning. both are in stable condition. well, man accused of stabbing philadelphia city councilman david oh is expected to appear before a judge soon. twenty-four year-old sean yar bray is charged with a penaltied murder and aggravated assault. he stabbed councilman oh during an attempted robbery wednesday night. warrant was issued for yarbray arrest friday night and turned himself in yesterday morning. councilman oh said he helped police identify yarbray as a suspect. chester township police are investigating death of the toddler. three-year old little boy found a gun inside his own home and accidentally shot himself. trying to determine if the 9- as how the tn to it. search is the investigation, in the cbs-3 sat center, alycia nieves for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". in delaware county marple township now suv struck and killed a woman on the 300 block of suspect boulevard on saturday morning. investigators say woman was crossing central boulevard when the vehicle hit her, her name has not been released, driver did stay on the scene and is cooperating with the police. investigators want to know what caused this house fire in montgomery county, fire fighters got the call around 9:00 yesterday morning to a burning house, on the 600 block of sixth avenue in upper providence, one person was injured. crowd gathered in philadelphia as part of the nationwide march for truth rally, many held signs on the ben franklin parkway there they wanted an independent investigation into alleged collusion between russia an president trump's 2016

those are bike police instructors showing their stuff riding down art museum steps. they are training newly sworn in office hours just graduated from the police academy. >> you have to be in good physical shape because today we are riding about 30 miles and you need to be coordinated as well because we do maneuvers with the bike. >> reporter: learning how to ride in tight spaces is what they might to have to do navigating through crowd and they have practiced emergency dismounts and suspect take downs. >> it is historic this is first time that we're ever having a class just graduate academy go through bike training. >> thirty office hours volunteered for bike patrols started this days session up in the northe and rode to the art museum. >> it ace lieutenant of work. >> they are required to have good cardio levels. >> reporter: shawna lee is excited about staying fit on bike patrol. she has been focusing on breathing techniques staying

again, sunshine is going to be nice, early on if you want to get out, better to do so earlier rather than later because cloud cover comes in it is still warm this afternoon, temperatures still going to be above average. probably up to 80 degrees, maybe even above that in a couple spots but then couple spotty showers are a possibility as well, most of the showers if we do see it today been in the northern half of the area we will be looking for out toward poconos not a whole lot of precipitation here in the delaware valley or back into south jersey but stray shower cannot be completely ruled out better chance will be north of the city. taking a look in bernville this morning already starting to see some of that included cover coming in. 54 degrees right now in the bernville area again included cover already thickening up to our north and that is again starting to move its way a little bit clothier here in philadelphia but overall we will still see a mixture of sun and cloud through most of the daytime hours today. by lunchtime showers are air possibility to our north, see a stray sprinkle trying to

form around allentown but philadelphia and area east we are dry, that is theme that continues all the way through afternoon and edge hours as we will, again, maybe a stray very light shower, from philadelphia to surrounding pennsylvania suburbs and back down into new jersey and delaware better chance still north of i80 for our showers and tout toward poconos. through evening and overnight tonight mostly cloudy skies, spotty shower not completely ruled out for overnight hours tonight. monday morning we will be driving to work as we kick off another workweek, it doesn't look too bad of a drive to work. stray shower not ruled out but not a wash out of the morning so no real problems. it doesn't look like we should have any weather related problems tomorrow morning on our drive to work. as we get through afternoon hours those showers, spotty thunderstorm activity does fire up once we get pennsylvania lunchtime or so on our monday, heading in to 3:00 in the afternoon still looking for again that spotty showers and thunderstorm activity but what we are watching for here is out toward poconos in the

afternoon pushing in the evening hours a bit more of the sustained line of showers and thunderstorms starts to develop that could give us gusty wind as we head late in the afternoon and also some locally heavy rainfall as well later in the day on monday. we are keeping an eye out for their. eighty-two in the afternoon. increasing included cover, again definitely a warm day for us. tonight areas of shower are a possibility. we are mild. 67 degrees. southwest tell lawyer wind at five to 10. looking at that seven day forecast 79 tomorrow with the rain out there, cooler for tuesday, wednesday, and thursday, as we stay in the lower zero seven's with a couple of shower chance annes drying things outs and warming up, by friday and next saturday. >> looking forward to that, thanks, matt. time to check the road. lets go over to amanda muhler in the traffic center, hi there amanda. >> taking a live look at schuylkill ate boulevard, beautiful morning, traffic great, i-95, 202, 30 and vine and all routes down the shore are all clear.

meteorologist matt peterson is live on the cbs-3 sky deck with eyewitness weather, some rain on the way, matt, when does ate riff. >> a lit built have rain is on the way but it does not show up really for delaware valley, until later tonight and as we move into our monday but some folks in the lehigh valley to the north could get shower activity, a little later this afternoon. storm scan three showing you cloud cover slowly increasing but outside for many of us in the center city area and back down into new jersey we are looking at still some sunshine for us, cloud are thickening up, further north you go. few light returns showing up on the radar but that precipitation not even reaching the ground, anywhere we see above route 80 that precipitation is reaching ground and we will keep an eye on it as it does move toward poconos through the rest of the morning and in the early afternoon. temperatures out there right now 50's heading north, reading, allentown 54, 57 degrees, looking at 60's here in philadelphia 63. trenton 62.

with bars, restaurants and tourist. witnesses say men got out, began stabbing people. >> i just saw people runaway from the market and people lying on the ground and taxi driver and shouting at people to run. >> reporter: armed police officers responded within minutes and shot and killed all three suspects at the scene. photo shows one lying on the ground with canisters strapped to his belt. >> suspects were wearing what looked like explosive vests but they were later established to be hoax. >> reporter: this morning police are combing through area for clues, this was second terrorist attack in england in less than two weeks , last month a suicide bomber killed 22 people at an ariana grande cons inert manchester. in march, a similar attack on london's west minister bridge left five dead. >> the recent attacks are not connected but we believe that we are experiencing a new trend in the threat we face as
