this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news" this morning. >> well, developing right now, several bucks county communities are being told to shelter in place we'll update you on the manhunt for escaped prisoner. also, today is the day. bill cosby on trial. what's expected when he comes face-to-face with his accuser. we're live at the courthouse in norristown. >> isis carried out the attack in london. we'll hear from an eyewitness who spoke he spoke with one of the alleged terrorists right before saturday's attack. today is monday june 5th, i'm jim donovan. >> i'm ronald mcdonald house. welcome back, jim. >> thank you. >> and here's katie and meisha. >> did you have a great weekend? >> i went to north carolina, my neice's graduation.

>> how was it? i saw the pictures. >> crazy, you know those high school crazy kids. >> i don't even try any more, i let them go to the women. i'm sick of these weekends going so fast, but looking outside pretty good, dry, lots of construction. >> so we had a couple every thunderstorms moving through handful of spots. spotty, what you will notice here, pretty heavy thunderstorms working their way south of long island. later today or throughout the day really showers, thunderstorms, actually possibility, just because of our latest system starting to move on in here. so while not total wash out, while you don't have shield of rain headed your way you'll find some damp roadways throughout the course of the day. right now things are calm down. looks like morning drive may not be all that bad. perhaps then little damp going to the north where we just had the round of thunderstorms rumbling on through. so about pretty much around the i08 corridor through the north jersey region where you had those thunderstorms. sixty-six the current temperature at the airport right now, low 70s to report from ac, wildwood, millville, dover, as the day progresses mild and somewhat muggy day

just because of the moisture, moisture that we've got to work with here, there will end up being some showers, thunderstorms, again, that fire up as the day goes on. collette spot of the pack will be the poconos just because you have got clouds, showers, more numerous up that way. >> great to know. great to know about some of the damp roadways out there, as well. good morning the burlington bristol bridge did go up about 4:00, to burlington bristol i can bridge looking pretty good. vine open, closed tonight overnight through thursday, again, our overnights between the schuylkill and broad kind of used tonight heads up, stay, the vine looking pretty good as you move in the westbound and eastbound direction, maybe starting to heat up just little bit in the 4:00 hour but overall it is looking good. construction here crews are out there this early morning, northeast extension, north and southbound between lansdale, quakertown, left lane is block there. and also, some more construction route 130 between route 322 and route 44, one

lane block each way there. so a lot of clues still out there. very dark, very early, give them some space to work, we'll let you know as soon as they clear out of your way. >> shelter in place order remains in place for parts every bucks county manhunt for escaped prisoner intensifies. live look at easton edison furlong roads in doylestown. see police are set up searching with k9's and helicopters, kind of dark out there right now. the warning affect part of doylestown, chalfont, warrington. police tell us the inmate escaped around 8:30 last night, while being transported, he's still wearing his handcuffs, resident in the surrounding areas were notified with reverse 911 call. authority are urging those folks to stay inside and keep all doors locked. >> i heard all of the cops are flying over, over the house, and i got ahold of my brother. he came downstairs, and the whole street was lined with cop cars. i was afraid to come outside. >> to the prison is right up the street. so this stuff can happen. >> now, police say the

prisoner was in custody for what they describe as a low level failure to appear in court. he is approximately 25 years old, wearing an orange shirt, jeans, and work boots. as we mentioned, he's still wearing those handicuffs. >> also, bucks county, barajas been stuck in a tree in feast err ville near the intersection. street road and bustleton avenue. authority spent yesterday afternoon trying to coax the bear from the tree, while they were able to shoot him twice with tranquilizer darts, that got him down, but then got spooked and ran right back up. before he climbed the tree, eyewitness video shows him opening a gate and running into someone's backyard. police are warning residents to keep their distance. >> well, the sexual assault trial for comedian bill cosby starts today. >> two women including former temple employee andrea constand are set to testify. trang do live outside montgomery count you courthouse, more on what we can expect over the next couple of weeks, trang, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, rahel, jim. with all of the build up there

is trial only spent today last about two weeks, because of all of the media attention on there is the jury of seven men, five women, is being busted from pittsburgh and will remain sequestered. now we do expect to hear from andrea constand in her own words for the very first time. so bill cosby is not expected to testify in his own defense, but here is a recap of the charges he's facing. the 79 year old comedian accused of three count every phony aggravated indecent assault. against andrea constand, former temple university employee, who became friendly with cosby. constand says cosby drugged and assaulted her, while she was incapacitated inside his elkins park home in january of 2004. now, over the years, more than 50 women have come forward with similar allegations against the comedian, but only one of them will be allowed to testify in addition to constand. now, attorney charles berk err sat down with "eyewitness news," to explain why. take a listen. >> and the purpose of her testimony is to show that

mr. cosby has acted as to other women in a way that's similar to what miss constand says that happened to her. that parallel is relevant. why the has decided is relevant to his intent, his motives, his patterns, his habits and his practice. >> and still this trial is based on constand's accusations only. now, bill cosby is expected to arrive here around 9:00 a.m. if he is convicted co-face up to ten years in prison. but for now live from the montgomery county courthouse, i'm trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," rahel, jim, back to you. >> closing argument are scheduled today for the trial of lee donald kaplan, the bucks county man accused of raping six girls who were living in his home in feature -- feasterville a couple gifted their daughters him because he helped them financially. mother of the girls has pleaded guilty to child endanger: he faces rape, sexual assault, conspiracy

charges and if convicted could go to jail for life. >> in delaware this morning judge set to sentence two girls charged in the death of amy joyner francis, 17 year old teen has been found guilty of criminally neglect homicide in the trial. he is seen in this april 2016 cell phone video beating classmate joyner-francis at howard high school of technology in wilmington. court found second teen guilty of conspiracy but possible neither girl will go to jail because they are both minors. >> isis is claiming it is behind terror attack in london. on saturday night police ordered people off the streets after three men targeted locals and tour cents cents enjoying a night out in central london. they rammed a van into pedestrians on london bridge, crashed the vehicle outside a public, then got out killing seven people and wounding 48 other, including an american. police killed three attackers then made at least dozen arrests in the east london neighborhood. one man thinking he talked to one of the terrorists and the day of the attack. >> came speak to go me, very friendly, and he's asking me where i got my van from.

and so asked the question how much, that that and the other. yes, it wasn't until now that it start singing in really. >> now, police have hall away the van used in the attack. people are laying flowers to remember the victims and hold a vigil this evening. >> president trump has denounced what he calls the horrific attack on london. during the annual fun raise nerve washington dc last night he promised to step up efforts against terrorism. >> and we new our resolve, stronger than ever before, to protect the united state and it allies from a vial enemy that has waged war on innocent life and it gone on too long. this bloodshed must end. this bloodshed will end. >> now earlier president trump came under criticism for his twitter comment about london mayor kahn after the mayor told londoners about the

stepped up police president. the president tweeted seven dade, 48 wounds in the terror attacks, and the mayor every london says there is no reason to be alarmed. the mayor spokesman says the president's tweets deliberately take out every context kahn's remarks. >> following the terror attack in london, ariana grande's one love manchester benefit concert went on as scheduled. >> ♪ >> ♪ >> more than dozen artists including katy perry, cold play, justin bieber, joined ariana grande for the concert an estimated 60,000 fans attended the show. some of those fans were at ariana grande's show when the manchester attack happened. >> it is one of those events where it is kind of like we were there, you know, you will remember it forever. >> and the suicide bombing at the manchester arena killed 22 people including seven children. twenty-two year old abedi died when he detonated the bomb. officials are investigating a suspected network that supported him. >> here at home philadelphia police are still trying to piece together a double murder

east mt. airy. man and a woman were found dead along the 1,000 block of before 5:00 yesterday afternoon, victims were signature inside parked car when they were shot execution style. we caught up with the woman who discovered the bodies while on a walk. she says that more particular detail about the man she found stood out. >> i knock on the window. they didn't respond. and then i called 911. >> i didn't know what was going on, i don't know. >> that woman did not want to show her face. investigators believe the shooter fired from the back seat. at last check no arrest haves been made. of course if you have any information philadelphia police want to hear from you. >> a judge has set bail at $750,000 for the man accused of stabbing philadelphia city councilman david oh. shawn yarbray appeared in court. on saturday he surrendered to authority. three days after allegedly attacking oh outside his home in kingsessing. police say yarbray stabbed the

councilman in the left side, then left the scene. >> i59 in delaware county is open went again after fatal multi car crash on sunday. it happened late last night, in the northbound lanes near exit nine in tinicum township. the collision killed one person, and injured five other. there is no word on the extent every those injuries. state police had part of 95 shutdown for most of the night while they investigated. >> well, there is much more to cover on cbs-3 "eyewitness news," rescue crews reach an injured horse, with the help of a helicopter. how that animal is found in that predicament. >> family celebrate the greatest gift, the gift of life. how children's hospital played a role even before they were born. we're back in two minute. stay with us.

anticipated. now the wet weather has also over aiken -- overtaken good portion of the radar. heavy batch of thunderstorms actually developing even more so as it moved out to sea but over the northern half of the area did end up bringing parts of the poconos specially, some dreary weather throughout the day yesterday. but yes, we take those victories, where we can get them, right? meanwhile, there is not only an area of low pressure, but couple every front that moved through here in the next couple every days bring withing it additional unsettled weather so right back to where we started when another round every unsettled weather through good portion of the week. it doesn't last forever, certainly, but get set to see some additional wet weather in this forecast for the next couple every days. so, yes. i mean, certainly an active storm scan, especially east of the mississippi here. now again, there will be several disturbance that is move on through. so i'll time it out today. goat you out the door through the morning, even get through the better part of the morning with mainly just some clouds. likely some breaks in the cloud cover, you should see little bit of sunshine, but looking like the first half of the day is pretty much quiet. but then, toward the

afternoon, looking at 2:00 p.m., heavier thunderstorms do begin to fire up. >> this will definitely be product, who ends up with the most sunshine, but possibility that we even end up with not just heavy rain pockets, but heavier thunderstorms, as well toward this evening, and later on tonight. so, there could be very active radar for lawyer tone track later on tonight. but, regardless, looks like the first half of the day, quieter part of the day. we do eventually rebound to 79 , thunderstorms, starting to fire up in scattered fashion this afternoon. and again, with some pocket of rain tonight. we drop down to 62 degrees. now, looking forward in the eyewitness weather seven day, we are going to see the temperatures go on bit of baby roller coaster, fled with or hit 70 the next few days, not really until thursday, friday, high pressure, meisha, regains control. that's when we can promise some dry weather. >> okay, all right, katie, thank you. well, very good morning to all of you. so, you heard it. looking outside on the roadways, dry in some areas, like katie says, some areas little more damp. looking right now at 95, headlight moving in the

time right now 4:49. time for check on business news. >> jill wagner joins us from the new york torque stock exchange, good morning, jill. so markets in morning opening at record highs, despite a disappointing jobs report on friday. what can you tell us about that? >> yes, so job growth slowed down a bit last month. the labor department says the us economy only added 138,000 new jobs. that is a lot less than expected. not only that, the april and march numbers were revised downward, wage growth also is disappointing. on the bright side, the unemployment rate kicked down to 4.3%, which is the lowest level since 2001. the thinking is the us is nearing full employment, which means most people who want jobs, are able to find them. jim, rahel? >> interesting to see what happens in the market today. jill, i understanded apple's worlds wide developer conference is starting in just a few hours. what are analysts expecting out of that? >> so, tim cook gives his keynote address at 10:00 a.m. pacific time.

>> welcome back, and happy monday to you. i know it is always tough to get out of bed the first day after the weekends, and i don't come bearing the best news in the worlds. but, this isn't going to be a wash out after day. so that's something, right? but i do have to tell but some wet weather. this is definately a different view of storm scan than we've seen in the last few days, finally high pressure in place, brought us beautiful weather specially saturday right? but now we've got a renewed unsettled pattern, that's unfolding, a couple of disturbances are the reasons for it for the next few days, but you will have some showers or thunderstorms to dodge. here today, we're not talking about a lot. it is just enough that we've got to mention it. there is again disturbance moving through, even bring some heavier rain ability, depending where you are, south jersey, south delaware, thinking may end one pretty decent rainfall ability hereof upward after inch, because it does appear specially by tonight that there could be some very heavy storms that rumble through. actually could see storms turn locally gusty or strong. so we need to keep an eye on the p.m. radar. for now, quiet locally, doesn't necessarily stay that way. so those showers and storms

are primarily p.m. hour showers and storms, and then, again, meisha, looks like it is just going to stay sort of unsettled for the next couple every days. >> another week of that. >> i know. >> all right, katie, thank you so much. and very good morning, so, all right, looking outside right now, some dry roadways someplace that is we're looking, other places katie pointed out earlier, right now the schuylkill at girard, moving in the eastbound direction, what we are working with there, looking pretty good both directions however i will note that the eastbound side is maybe starting to pick up just a little bit mondays tends to be one of the busiest travel days of the entire work week. so we'll see what's going on here, 42, casino every looking like it typically does this time approaching the 42 hour. looking okay, of course the ben franklin bridge, looking great, too, as you push in the westbound direction. we will start to see that heat up as well. construction crews still out there, route 422 westbound, between route 23 and trooper, right lane block between nine a.m. and 2:30, also, 422 eastbound the off ramp to route 23, that is closed between ten a.m. and 1:00 p.m. so this will be starting right
