good evening, i'm ukee washington. i'm jessica dean. barry baker alluded police for several weeks after may tenth incident at west chester 7-eleven store. but today police captured him in the motel in delaware. "eyewitness news" reporter alycia nieves is live in exton with details on how it unfolded, alycia. >> reporter: well, authorities say that baker was, hiding in a room at this inn, authorities say that room was paid for in cash and booked under an alias but they were able to catch up with him because so many people were keeping an eye out for baker and they flooded them with tips. >> after a 10 day manhunt. >> we had his picture on billboard, and, you know, newspapers and everyone was looking for him. >> reporter: barry baker, probably most wanted man in chester county has been caught and cuffed. he sat in shackles as officers escorts him in the chester county courthouse. >> when he got taken in custody, he came in like a

baby. >> reporter: district attorney calling baker's apprehension a blessing for him, fighting an unprecedented amount of anger from the community, toward baker after this surveillance video was released. it shows bake inner may mcing a man with cerebral palsy outside a convenient store and then what appears to be an un provoked attack on a man. >> there were a lot of very angry comments in social media and even in calls and on the tip line, about, you know, people that really wanted their own, piece of vengeance. >> reporter: chester county sheriff carolyn welch said her team of officers and federal agents took down baker without incident capturing him at this hotel in exton. he was in the hotel room bathroom and when he was arrested made one comment to authorities, that still has them shaking their head. >> the defendant said i don't know why this is such a big deal. >> reporter: after baker's court appearance this afternoon he is facing a -- being held on hundred thousand

dollars cash bail and facing years in prison. d.a. says that should be plenty of time for him to realize why this was all such a big deal. reporting live from exton, alycia nieves for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". officialness montgomery county are working to repair a huge water main break. it occurred after 3:30 at intersection of tyson and brad field avenues in abington. "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan is at the scene where residents have been asked to evacuate, cleve, good evening. >> reporter: good evening, ukee. the water has, stopped going through roadways and through yard here, but we are here at edgehill road, this is uphill from tyson road where all that water was pouring on to the roadway right now. they have had the road opened, they are working on that water main right now. they again have gotten been able to shut down the water but repairs going on right now check out this incredible video provided to us, by the abington township. you can see the water just

coming down, through driveways , through walkways, and on that block, between edgehill and tyson road. now, the water main is a 16- inch cement water main. water company aquas does not believe it was hit by anything but just a matter of age. it is a pipe that goes back to 1911 and it was on their scheduled repair list, and all they can assume is that it was age-related, the water main break. there were homes evacuated, 85 homes in all that are impact by water being shut off but we don't have an exact number on how many homes, were actually evacuated at the time. they don't believe anybody is going to be out of their home for an extended period of time but we did hear from the police chief and he described what happened or the deputy chief, when his officers arrived. >> when officers responded, there were thousands of gallons of water pouring

outcast cadeing down toward tyson avenue so that impacted several families on tyson avenue some families selfie vac waited with significant damage in their basement and their first floors of their home. >> reporter: our understanding is that there are six homes that have water on either the first floor or into the basement. those homes are being checked out by the township by their engineer. preliminary indications are that nobody will be out of their homes tonight, 85 residents, customers, rather will be without water for the evening as they work on these repairs which should extend into tomorrow, according to the police department. anybody that need water, they will bring out water wagon here, they will provide drinking water, cooking water and as of right now they don't believe anybody will need shelter in the evening. if you are driving this evening or tomorrow, avoid the 900 block of edge hill road and tyson road. live from abington, i'm cleve bryan for cbs-3 "eyewitness

talent agent, gloria alred representing johnson. >> big picture to the other accusers is for the most part, they will not have their day in court because we do not know any other criminal case which is pending. >> reporter: cosby's defense team attacked johnson's claims that her recollection of the alleged assault. she told jury cosby gave her a single white pill which she tried to avoid taking. johnson said that cosby insisted that she ingest that mystery pill. she testified that cosby was performing a sex act when she regained consciousness. her story is not part of the underlying charges but prosecutors are using it, to detail prior bad acts. >> the job now is to show the two side to put their cases on >> reporter: keisha knight pullham who played rude any cosby's signature sitcom showed reporters she was here to show her support. a cosby twitter account

thanked her. >> family, friendship, integrity and to show up in court. i just said i would, i'm going to handle this the way i would want to be treated. >> testimony is set to begin at 9:30 tomorrow morning, this trial, could last two weeks. live from norristown, joe holden for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thanks, joe. jury deliberations will resume in the trial of lee kaplan, he is accused of sexually assaulting six sisters. prosecutors say the five two-year old kaplan assaulted the girls inside his feasterville home. authorities say that a couple, gifted the girls to kaplan because he helped the family, financially. that couple, faces sentencing on child endangerment charges after kaplan's trial. kaplan could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted. authorities in bucks county of charged the father of escaped prisoner daniel sellby, junior. six five-year old daniel sell by senior was arrested for

attacking allergies. food allergies can be deadly and they are on the rise. children's hospital of philadelphia is a national leader in curing, allergies. >> health reporter stephanie stahl is here with more on one of their first success stories >> put tonight. >> making chocolate chip cook business eggs used to be something that was life threatening for 15 year-old, isaac kieser. >> i have anaphylaxis so my throat would close would i get hives, would i vomit, and then it just, i'm always really, constant fear that will happen >> reporter: his childhood was spent a voicing exposure, no easy task, considering, eggs are in so many things. >> he could not go to the restaurant and order a hamburger because in the morning they may have cooked an egg on that same grill. it is terrifying. >> reporter: isaac's mom made sure he was always equipped with an epi-pen but he still had to be careful about an accidental exposure. >> i would always like everyone would have a cake or something and i didn't know if i could have it. makes you different and separate from everybody else.

soccer tournament in philadelphia lincoln financial field played hoe to the mayor and other city official as they drew the team match ups for upcoming round of this years tournament. the players in the unity cup are from 48 different countries and they will new call philadelphia, home. this month they will represent their native land in philadelphia neighborhood as they battle it out on the soccer field. >> our neighborhood, we appreciate them, we respect them and we want to make them part of the fabric of our community. soccer is best way to do that. it is an international sport. >> reporter: championship game will take place november 11th at lincoln financial field. lauren casey's joining us now with a look at your forecast and man, you got to start off the monday with rain >> i know, right. >> just a case of the mondays, mother nature has with the drizzle coming down, rainfall has lingered, especially across parts of the south jersey and the coast, as well and we are seeing drizzle coming down right now, low

cloud here as we look live at center city philadelphia temperatures cooler then average at 72 degrees. wind southe right now, light breeze, dew points elevated in the middle 60's so it is damp, muggy and rain continues to fall right now in rehoboth beach. that is an empty, looking boardwalk, and beach, with these dreary conditions, in place, that are going to persist, unfortunately over next couple of days but we have pick up over an inch of rainfall in beach haven, millville picking up an inch in mays landing. quakertown .4 of an inch. rehoboth beach over .3 of an inch. we are seeing drizzle and light rain regenerate ago cross center city philadelphia and immediate surrounding suburbs. we will see that on storm scan three. to the north and west things have quieted down, rainfall has come to an end but watching these storms well to our north right now north of the carbon and monroe but we could deal with the passing storm in the poconos as we head in the overnight period. steady rain, continues across parts of the cumberland, cape may, atlantic, burlington and

ocean counties and as it has through much of the day to day that will start to taper off as we head into about the next hour. but rain still falling light to moderate in intensity at shore points. starting to get a lit break in the delaware beaches but overnight tonight fog, drizzle chance of an isolated shower, low temperature falling back to 63 degrees. our tuesday not looking so great either scattered showers , a few thunderstorms as we head in the second half of the day high of 07 degrees. we should be around 8o future weather showing us we could see a couple thunderstorms work in the poconos, lehigh valley and berks county throughout overnight period otherwise a lingering passing shower. for tomorrow morning, two spotty showers, drizzle, some fog around and then as we head in the second half of the day we will see other round of showers with embedded thunderstorms redevelop and as we head in the early evening hours we could deal with a couple of those thunderstorms. but less into wednesday, but we will deal with the cloud around due to easterly component to the wind flow and times of the drizzle and

temperatures as well cooler then average. we topped out at 74 in philadelphia we should hit 80. we have cooler high temperatures in the future as we head in the day tomorrow. right new we are at 67 degrees in mount pocono. thirty-seven in allentown. sixty-six in atlantic city. dew points they tell us about that sticky factor and it is steamy out there despite temperatures only in the middle 70's. it feels muggy. that will be the case again for first half of the day tomorrow so best day to skip walking to work and use public transportation temperatures in the 60's, tomorrow but check out friday beautiful day but we are getting out to the garden because highs cruise up to 80 degrees, big turn around as we head in the end of the week friday, beautiful, saturday, awesome. sunday gets hot sunshine and into medication monday we are in the upper 80's, summertime is there, but we have to get through next week. >> yes. >> thanks, lauren. >> yes. >> all right, don's up next with sports. >> tell me more.
