schuylkill at boulevard taillights moving in the eastbound direction this is what you're looking at there sky is lighting up, looking beautiful east and westbound on the schuylkill, enjoy opened roadways while we have them. one area we have that car fire in ambler, ambler road at church street, more coming up in a bit, jim and rahel, back over to you. all eyes are on capitol hill where former fbi director james comey is testified before congress. >> yesterday, his interactions with the president on record by making his opening statement public. jan carabao joins us now from our news center with a preview of today's hearing, good morning, jan. >> reporter: good morning. former fbi director james come y is putting it all out there today in his opening statement he details a number of meetings with the president , some of the most concerning to him, private one on one conversations. it is seven pages of remarks, former fbi director james come y details numerous uncomfortable interactions he had with president trump. one of the most notable came

in february, when comey says the president, cleared the oval office before pressuring him to drop the bureau's ongoing investigation of michael flynn, president's former national security advisor confirming earlier reports, comey wrote that mr. trump told him quote i hope you can see your way clear to letting this go to letting flynn go, he is a good guy. >> what we see is mounting evidence of obstruction of justice. >> reporter: testimony was released thursday by senate intelligence committee at come y's request leading up to his firing last month, he says that president trump called him and describe the russia investigation as quote a cloud that was impairing his ability to act on behalf of the country. comey then admitted he reassured the president he was not personally under investigation, something that the president's personal attorney says vindicates the president. comey recalls having 91 on one conversation was president trump in just four months, one in which he said the president asked him for a pledge of loyalty. >> what the president asked for was loyalty to the country

news organization. her parents say they are afraid that prosecutors will try to use this case to send a message to the trump administration that security leaks will not be tolerated. well, president trump tweets his pick for the next fbi director. president nominated christopher ray, he served his department of justice from 2003 to 2005. wray defended governor chris christie during the bridge gate scandal. governor applauded the president's decision. >> i commend the president for extraordinary and agent to the fbi, and men and women of the you had, will be extraordinary well served, by having a fbi director. well, confirmation hearing for wray will take place in the next two weeks or so. polls are opened in england this morning where all 650 seats in the house of common are are up for grabs. teresa may and labor party leader jeremy corbett have rival plans for brexit and

fighting threats. party need 326 seats to form a majority government there. polls are opened until 5:00 this afternoon our time. jurors in the bill cosby sexual assault trial will hear from cosby himself even if he doesn't take a stand. prosecutors are expected to show jurors statements that cosby made about giving accusers pills in 2004, were engaging in sex acts with her. andrea constand testified for seven hours as montgomery county courthouse in norristown. seventy-nine year-old cosby faces a decade in prison if quick. new investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire in the home in old kensington. fire fighters arrived on the 1400 block of north hope street to find heavy flames, just before 11:30. we put out a fire by midnight. no one was injured. and no injuries reported, this morning when fire broke out in manayunk, you can see the front is covered with some ot this happened at 100 block of du pont street around 3:00. fire fighters were able to douse flames before 3:30. good samaritan can rest

easy to day after taking down an armed robber at a convenient store this took place just before 2:00 in the morning yesterday at about a was on cross keys road in sicklerville. surveillance video shows a customer running at a man whom police say was robbing a store at gunpoint. customer who only identified himself as darryl, is twice the suspect's age. he wrestled him for several minutes until police arrived. >> my first reaction, my good ness this is real. you know, then things, just kicked in and immediately separate this guy. and some give up everything to come to work with their family expecting them to come home, stay with me, my family, i get up, go to work my family wants to come home. i just want a cup of coffee and bag of doughnuts. >> few stitches and bandages. police stress that people should not intervene in similar situations. by the way, suspects faced charges including aggravated assault.

a drug bust shuts down a chipotle restaurant. three people including an employee face charges. two suspects arrived for a court hearing just hours after their arrest yesterday. 22-year old robert lane, walked in the chipotle, under cover officers say they found a half pound of pot on him. kadeem chokes was also arrested. police superintendent says the investigation began weeks ago. >> the employee will come out of the store with the marijuana on his person, which is the case, that he had it on his person handling food. >> and township health inspectors found drug paraphernalia in the bathroom toilet tank and health code violations in the restaurant. family, friend and community members are rallying around a mother and her young son after they were injured in the gunfire. dozens formed a prayer circle yesterday, just a day after the six year-old was shot in the head on the 700 block of east sixth street. his mother suffered cuts to the arms. wilmington police chief bob tracie says he is ready for the violence to end.

in the atm. suspect did not get any gas but did manage to cause $10,000 in damage to the cash machine and bank. authorities are now searching for that suspect. and, talk about a chosen counter. >> footage of the tornado tearing through a field in north dakota was caught by a man a few hundred feet away. take a closer look, jesse bye says he was working on his farm when this huge funnel touched down. bye says he was a football field away but that didn't stop him from filming, thankfully he said tornado wasn't very destructive. >> if it wasn't for power lines, it just got a lot of power on these lines and they are still standing. we got lucky, didn't go through a farm or anything or go through town. >> well, bye says tornado mainly acted like a vacuum cleaner just sucking up dirt, other than that there were no reports of any injuries or structural damage. >> talk about maybe the best potentially a bad situation heavy rain, flooding in florida apparently was not all that bad for some people, in

us. there you can see it, again some very soaking rain out of this, especially true for carolina coastline but, there may be, just a little bit of this that gets close enough to bring in some cloud, perhaps a shower near the shore over next day and a half as this continues its trek northe here in the meantime we have a nice clear sky at the moment but there will be additional cloud with time. we will take you through a couple stops on future weather and see on this wide zoom how that moisture basically just cleared out to our east but note is what happens with the wrap around cloud cover, that will funnel in so later on today you may be stuck in the cloud across parts of the new jersey, a persian of the state let alone del marva peninsula. more likely to end up with more sun then anything but worst is going to clear us to thee, so we will not have any major worries from it. tomorrow there may be a left over shower that wraps around in the wake of this over northern counties perhaps but we are generally expecting dry weather tomorrow and sunshine
