>> neighbors on the 1700 block of south conestoga street in southwest philadelphia is shocked by the sudden death and alleged sexual assault of a one year-old boy. brandy smith says she often saw the mother holding her son around the neighborhood. >> this woman she loved his little boy uncan ily and never anything like this would happen on our block. >> reporter: medics responded for reports of the unresponsive child around 5:30 wednesday afternoon and found baby without a pulls upstairs. he died about half an hour later at children's hospital of philadelphia. >> i cannot imagine what a mother feels when they lose a child. >> reporter: philadelphia police arrested boy's 24 year-old stepfather and say doctor noticed multiple bruces on the infant as well as signs of sexual assault. >> that is just very awful, just to say it is awful. >> reporter: stepfather faces multiple charges including attempted murder, rape, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. now at this time police are not identifying that

stepfather, all we know he is a 24 year-old man and investigators are still waiting for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death, of that one year-old boy. but for now live from southwest philadelphia, i'm anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". family of the student who was allegedly sexually abused by an instructional aid has filed a federal lawsuit against tredyffrin easttown school district. ate alleged conestoga high school administrators and teachers created an environment that allowed assaults to happen. sixty-seven year-old arthur phillips was arrested in april and charged with sexually assaulting a female student multiple times. conestoga's principal is named in the lawsuit. bill cosby's own word were read to the jury today in his sexual assault trial, those comments were from an energy the entertainer, gave to police, in 2005. >> our joe holden joins us from the montgomery county courthouse in norristown with more of today's developments, beginning. >> reporter: good evening. that interview that we talk about in 2005, those were

cosby's word to investigators, when we first started, of investigating his alleged sexual assault that andrea constand reported to cheltenham township, and, all of those years later and now beginning of the depositions where cosby was, questioned by constand's lawyers in a civil suit. that is ongoing in court. court has finished for the day bill cosby left just about 15 minutes ago. there was a lone woman who was heckling him yelling that we will not be scared of you bill cosby, basically setting up to him as this actor and comedian got into his car. bill cosby seemed unface by lack of support from hollywood as comedian sex assault trial. >> bear witness so i took to the world what i heard, what i saw and what i feel. >> reporter: joe torey and handful of others are in the courtroom as cosby word were read allowed to the jury.

it is an is that correct details his exact response to investigators, after andrea constand, filed a sexual assault complaint against him. >> okay, i came out to hear the truth for myself, before anybody says anything else, i'm in the courtroom, i can really hear it. nobody was there, you know, just to see any of this happen it is all hearsay. >> reporter: late afternoon the smoking gun in the prosecution's case appeared, previously sealed deposition where it is said cosby admits to the sex assault. it is a blistering account that his lawyers un successfully for the to suppress. it details how relationship between the two evolved and how cosby used his power, influence over constand. her attorney settled with him for an undisclosed amount of money, a figure that cosby's own close friend said to be in the millions of dollars. so now jurors have gone home, day four is now in the books and would what remains to be seen is time line for this deposition and when the

pride month is underway in philadelphia and today was a kick off ceremony at city hall celebration featured unveiling of the a new lb gtq rainbow pride flag that includes colors brown and black. that movies aimed at fueling talk about diversity, within the gay community. >> too often peoples color in the lb gtq community have been marginalized, ignored and intentionally left out of the conversation. we must change that and we must start here. >> actress megan mall which will head line the pride festival. pride parade is set for sunday june 18th. we're now in the home stretch of our 11th annual alex scott a stand for hope

you are so attached to them and you feel like you can only give so much and add even more to the foundation. >> amen. amen indeed. >> karen, this is mom, we get back a long way. >> we sure do. >> take me briefly through, some of the moments of the diagnosis, that we mentioned, 10 years. >> he is a 10 year serve i've. >> when you get that diagnosis , cole was only two when he was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma. when you get that diagnosed it is earth shattering. it effects every part of your life thaw can imagine, it effects your job, your relationship with family, even with friend. we were very fortunate in that a lot of people offered support to us, and it really brings the best out in people as well because people want to help and they want to lend that support. cole treatment protocol was 18 months chemotherapy, radiation

, stem cell transplant. we were able to receive treatment in this air yacht ai du pont and chop as well. cole is really thrived as a survivor. the first couple years vice nerve racking because you are kind of doing a lot of follow-up every few months for additional scans, blood work. >> right. >> you are really walking on egg shells at that point because we are in the sure and each scan what will happen. you know, luckily, you know, my kid are awesome. my husband is awesome. >> tell billy said hi. >> i will, he is with my older daughter at a banquet tonight. biggest thing is that the family has to pull together to get through it and it has been a wonderful advocate for cole and just a good relationship. it is. >> beautiful family. >> thank you cole we got to go , you know where it is, split is, over here,

>> deservedly so. >> we did have cloud earlier but no rain, we will keep rain away and sunnies increasing. >> nice. >> as we speak, i much more beautiful scene even in the 5:00 o'clock show as we get a live look at center city philadelphia look at that. suburb. still some cloud but still seeing some blue there, temperatures 68 degrees, we still have an east wind that we cannot get rid of and it is keeping our temperatures well cooler then average. but as we head in the night tonight we will see a win shift and that is going to bring a lot of change to our forecast also change in the bern villain berks county live neighborhood network shows us, a couple of tiny cloud, that is it, otherwise blue skies and temperature near 70 degrees. storm scan three showing us a trend for clearing over last several hours. we have dense, high level cloud, deck in place and that is eroding from west toe revealing that sunshine, and, and montco, and sunshine, in center city philadelphia we are seeing more and more

sunshine but they are seeing low pressure off shore and main moisture will remain off shore, see that trend broken off to the north and east, contribute to go that cloud cover but it will take with it as we head in the next several hours. the alex lemonade stand we have another show coming up from 7:00 to 8:00 so call in, donate, increasing sunshine, pleasant conditions, really nice evening in store. overnight tonight just a few passing cloud, cool, quiet, 57 e those windows opened and for the day tomorrow, summer finally returns after a lengthy absence, mostly sunny, warmer up to 82 degrees with the nice breeze in the afternoon. temperatures right new we are generally cooler then average a temperature gradient going, with that easterly wind temperatures in the lower 60's sixty-eight in philadelphia but we have more sunshine temperatures have made it up in the lower 70's but another cool one. 59 degrees in ocean city. sixty-one in stone harbor but all that as i mentioned business to change.

check out the shore forecast over next several days, awesome, sunny, beautiful on friday, warm on saturday, sunshine, sunny, flower just by sunday. 83 degrees, make sure to have that sun screen. weekend outlook we are heating things big time, 85 on saturday, mostly sun which a stray afternoon thunderstorm possible and bright sunshine on sunday climbing up to 91 degrees, our fourth 90- degree high of the year so far and we will challenge some record as we head in the next several days. sunday record 95 degrees. we will get close. we will get closer on sunday with a forecast high of 93. on tuesday that record of 95 setback in the 1950's will get close with the forecast high of 92. so three days of 90's, that would be a heat wave sunday, monday and tuesday, we will start to feel that humid factor as we head into sunday and monday and getting down right steamy as we head into monday and tuesday, temperatures take a step back as we head into wednesday and thursday with berth rain but that is a lot of sunshine.
