>> neighbors on the 1700 block of south conestoga street in southwest philadelphia is shocked by the sudden death and alleged sexual assault of a one year-old boy. brandy smith says she often saw the mother holding her son around the neighborhood. >> this woman she loved his little boy uncan ily and never anything like this would happen on our block. >> reporter: medics responded for reports of the unresponsive child around 5:30 wednesday afternoon and found baby without a pulls upstairs. he died about half an hour later at children's hospital of philadelphia. >> i cannot imagine what a mother feels when they lose a child. >> reporter: philadelphia police arrested boy's 24 year-old stepfather and say doctor noticed multiple bruces on the infant as well as signs of sexual assault. >> that is just very awful, just to say it is awful. >> reporter: stepfather faces multiple charges including attempted murder, rape, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. now at this time police are not identifying that

stepfather, all we know he is a 24 year-old man and investigators are still waiting for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death, of that one year-old boy. but for now live from southwest philadelphia, i'm anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". family of the student who was allegedly sexually abused by an instructional aid has filed a federal lawsuit against tredyffrin easttown school district. ate alleged conestoga high school administrators and teachers created an environment that allowed assaults to happen. sixty-seven year-old arthur phillips was arrested in april and charged with sexually assaulting a female student multiple times. conestoga's principal is named in the lawsuit. bill cosby's own word were read to the jury today in his sexual assault trial, those comments were from an energy the entertainer, gave to police, in 2005. >> our joe holden joins us from the montgomery county courthouse in norristown with more of today's developments, beginning. >> reporter: good evening. that interview that we talk about in 2005, those were

cosby's word to investigators, when we first started, of investigating his alleged sexual assault that andrea constand reported to cheltenham township, and, all of those years later and now beginning of the depositions where cosby was, questioned by constand's lawyers in a civil suit. that is ongoing in court. court has finished for the day bill cosby left just about 15 minutes ago. there was a lone woman who was heckling him yelling that we will not be scared of you bill cosby, basically setting up to him as this actor and comedian got into his car. bill cosby seemed unface by lack of support from hollywood as comedian sex assault trial. >> bear witness so i took to the world what i heard, what i saw and what i feel. >> reporter: joe torey and handful of others are in the courtroom as cosby word were read allowed to the jury.

it is an is that correct details his exact response to investigators, after andrea constand, filed a sexual assault complaint against him. >> okay, i came out to hear the truth for myself, before anybody says anything else, i'm in the courtroom, i can really hear it. nobody was there, you know, just to see any of this happen it is all hearsay. >> reporter: late afternoon the smoking gun in the prosecution's case appeared, previously sealed deposition where it is said cosby admits to the sex assault. it is a blistering account that his lawyers un successfully for the to suppress. it details how relationship between the two evolved and how cosby used his power, influence over constand. her attorney settled with him for an undisclosed amount of money, a figure that cosby's own close friend said to be in the millions of dollars. so now jurors have gone home, day four is now in the books and would what remains to be seen is time line for this deposition and when the

, stem cell transplant. we were able to receive treatment in this air yacht ai du pont and chop as well. cole is really thrived as a survivor. the first couple years vice nerve racking because you are kind of doing a lot of follow-up every few months for additional scans, blood work. >> right. >> you are really walking on egg shells at that point because we are in the sure and each scan what will happen. you know, luckily, you know, my kid are awesome. my husband is awesome. >> tell billy said hi. >> i will, he is with my older daughter at a banquet tonight. biggest thing is that the family has to pull together to get through it and it has been a wonderful advocate for cole and just a good relationship. it is. >> beautiful family. >> thank you cole we got to go , you know where it is, split is, over here,
