more than a decade. our alycia nieves now joins us live from the montgomery county courthouse in norristown where both side made their case to the jury, alycia? >> reporter: well, joe as you said the case against bill cosby is now in the hand of the jury. after all day hearing, lengthy closing arguments, for the defense side and prosecution side, and i mentioned earlier those closing arguments were very aggressive, they were very compelling also. >> prosecutors in montgomery county had all last week to make sexual assault case begins bill cosby. today, the comedian walk in the montgomery county courthouse with his wife under heavy speculation that he might testify. now that it was his defense team turn to tell his side of the story. >> you weigh out every option. why should he testify? >> reporter: in court famous comedian chose not to take the stand telling the judge it was his decision, instead his defense attorney brian mcmonigal in his closing argument would speak directly to the jury for an hour and a

half. he aggressively told jurors what are we doing here? this is nonsense. can we just stop this. mcmonigal dissected andrea constand's testimony and accusation that cosby drugged her and sexually assaulted her , almost mocking her in his closing argument and flat out calling constand a stone called liar. this woman was in the courtroom and also alleged sexual assault by cosby. >> how does he sleep at night. he is such an aggressive bleep , bleep. frankly i would, if i were a juror, i would vote guilty just based on his aggressive antagonistic behavior. >> reporter: for the prosecution, district attorney kevin steel told the jury they should be insulted by defense behavior and closing argument that this case begins cosby is easy to decide because in his 2005 deposition the comedian admits to giving constand drugs, before he had a sexual encounter with her and not

telling her what the drugs were. and, again, the judge just put the fate of the bill cosby in the hand of the jury in sexual assault trial. after spending about an hour charges the jury our greg argos is inside the courtroom and joining us live. >> exactly right. jury just, was handed the jury rules, actual counts against comedian bill cosby. seven men and five women are currently, deliberating right now. they will determine the fate of the comedian. dinner has been ordered by judge and staff here and there is no set time for how long this could take for the jury to deliberate into the evening basically, until they want to, they could continue to deliberate. once again, seven men and five women, six alternates are also in a separate room, everyone is sequestered as they are deciding whether or not to charge and to convict bill cosby on these counts. once again this fridays 2004 these allegations, men and

women of the jury listen to the five days of testimony to day's testimony actually, was very quick but defense wrapping up after just one witness called to the stand. another interesting fact today we have been under a moratorium so to speak when it comes to tweeting or texting or giving any information out from the courtroom but we're told, from court officials if and when jury does reach a verdict this afternoon or even in the coming days, we will be allowed to tweet, text, or even, e-mail that information, out to the public, this is an exception being made by the judge, here, once again, the seven men, five women currently deliberating, no set time, on when, they will wrap up for this evening. we will be out here all evening long, to provide you latest from norristown. we are live from norristown i'm greg argos for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". thank you for those reports. a preliminary hearing is underway in seventh county for 18 penn state students facing charges in connection, with the death of a fraternity pledge. nineteen year-old timothy

piazza died after falling down the steps, at a fraternity house in february, and during an alleged hazing ritual. video presented at today ease hearing show piazza final moments, judge will deciding whether there is enough evidence to send the case to trial. northeast extension was just reopened, moments ago after a crash involving a tractor trailer forced the shut down of all north bound lanes, for hours, this afternoon. chopper three over that scene, the crash happened between lansdale and quakertown exit ness milford. a box truck was carrying, theater seats, and much of that truck appeared to be crushed. the driver was trapped for about an hour but eventually freed and transported to the hospital, no word on his condition. today marks within year since the deadliest mass shooting in modern u.s. history. forty-nine people died, and dozens more were hurt when omar mateen pledged allegiance to isis and opened fire on the crowd at pulse nightclub in orlando, florida. hundreds gathered to day at pulse to pay their respects, and offer support, to
