tuesday, you guys, so looking outside right now, a lot of construction, construction, construction, also a couple of accident, those have cleared out of our way. and they're always out there until i would say, 5:00, 5:30,. >> the vine, that vine. i always grunt. >> oh, i'm telling you, it is rough. but the heat also, a rough story for us here today. it will be another really really steamy day for us out there. looking at the heat advisory, that will take effect as of high noon. we will be going right on the air as it is taking effect here on "eyewitness news" at noon, and it lasts until 7:00. notice not for everyone it, really is only confined to philadelphia, and the immediate vicinity, urban heat island effect essentially the reason for. that will but this is where you will ends up with the worse of the heat index values throughout the day. you may be flirting with triple digit heat index values here. so, this is definitely a really steamy day. this is where we actually peak with the warmth, too. storm scan3, quiet as can be. does not necessarily stay this

the vine that overnight construction it is all clear. so moving in the wean direction toward the schuylkill, and looking good, eastbound side, looking really good, too. so again, hoping to keep you at those levels for as long as we can today. outside we do have an accident, 611 old york road in abington near heart road. that will road is blocked, so if this is your neighborhood, just know that it is out there. and it has not cleared yet. construction on the pa turnpike as well westbound between 29 and downingtown, the left lane blocked, and the pa turnpike eastbound between 29 and valley forge, the left lane is block there, as crews are working on both sides. garden state parkway we have crews out there as well southbound between ac service area and route 30. right lane compromised there, and then in cherry hill, crews still out there this morning, route 70 between haddonfield road and kings highway, one lane blocked in each direction there, as well. more to come in about ten minute, rahel, over to you. >> meisha, thank you. we have early dismissals to pason for schools in our area due to the excessive heat. the philadelphia school district will close at noon today. all after school activities are canceled. the camden city school

district will submits at 1:00. after school activities also canceled. and hamilton township school district will have a one session day. >> we are officially on verdict watch in the bill cosby trial. >> this morning jurors will be shown two pieces of evidence that they've requested. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live outside the courthouse in norristown, with more on what we can expected to. good morning, trang. >> reporter: well, good morning, jim, rahel. lalls night jurors deliberated for about four hours before wrapping up around 9:30 p.m. it really capped off a bizarre day in court that saw the defense taking just six minutes and one witness to present it it case. >> bill cosby left court monday night, sink ago tune to himself. arm in arm with his publicist, andrew wyeth. his fate now in the hands of 12 people from allegany county. >> we feel that the jury has information, and they saw the truth. >> the jury every seven men, five women, got the case around 5:30 p.m., and deliberated for about four

hours. about mid-way through, they asked the judge to see part of a 2005 deposition, where cosby called the pills he gave central witness andrea constand, quote, his little friends. cosby maintained he gave constand benadryl to relax, to a visit to his home in 2004. prosecutors say more powerful drugs were at work, ren erring their client incapacitated and unable to fend off cosby's advances. another accuser, victoria valentine owe, says the story is early familiar. >> there was a thread of continuity between all of us, 60 women, who have gone public, who never had met each other before. and suddenly we're going oh, my god, that's a pattern. >> bill cosby's team is confident he will be acquitted. >> the jurors are sophisticated, they're smart enough. i really feel like we have that one person, and more than one person, who is looking at the evidence, and they're taking everything into account. and that reasonable doubt is probably coming into play.

>> the deliberations are set to resume at 9:00 a.m. if cosby is convicted, co-face up to 30 years in prison. but for now, outside the montgomery county courthouse, trang do, cbs-3 "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> thank you, trang. stay with us here on "eyewitness news" as trang just mentioned, deliberations resume at 9:00 a.m. and as soon as there is averred, we will have it for you on tv and cbsphilly.com and the cbs local app. >> faa is investigating a plane crash at a private airport in ocean county new jersey. >> this happened just before 11:00 last night at the eagles nest airport in eagleswood. authority tell us the small plane crashed into a wooded area as it approached the runway. police say the pilot suffered very minor injuries. at last check, that airport remained closed. officers in montgomery country looking for shooters this morning, after a street is riddled with bullets. they found at least 45 bullet casings on the 1,000 block of powell street in norristown just after midnight.

it looked like several car windows were also shot out. police say one man was shot in the leg. he is expected to survive. >> well, a big day on capitol hill as the investigation into russia's meddling in the 2016 election continues. >> later today attorney general jeff sessions will face questions from the senate over his connections to the russian ambassador. correspondent weijia jiang live in washington now with more. good morning, weijia. >> reporter: good morning, rahel and jim. sessions will be answering all of those questions during a public hearing. the justice department says he requested it not happen behind closed doors, because he believes it is important for the american people to hear the truth, directly from him. >> attorney general jeff sessions praised president trump and fellow cabinet member monday ahead of his testimony before the senate intelligence committee today. he is expected to face questions about his contact with russia's ambassador to the u.s. during the presidential campaign. sessions, though, has recused

himself from all ongoing investigations into russia. >> i should not be involved in investigating a campaign i had a role in. >> sessions may also have to answer for what role if any he played in the firing of former nbi director james comey. comey during his testimony to the senate hinted there might be more to session's recusal. >> we also were aware of fact i can't discuss in a open setting. >> session also have the option to avoid some questions by siting executive privilege. a move the white house has not ruled out. >> i think it depends on the scope of the questions, and to get into hypothetical at this point, would be premature. >> the attorney general may also be asked if there are tables of the president's private conversations with comey. as mr. trump suggested last month. but refuse to confirm monday. the secret service revealed yesterday it is unaware of any

>> thinks the president is considering firing the special council in the russian investigation. >> chris rudy shared on pbs. in may the justice department made robert muller the special council to investigate potential russian activity in the 2016 election. what the house told cbs news, was not speaking for the president. president trump's travel ban continues to receive push backs, the attorney general of hawaii urging the supreme court to keep the travel ban blocked. yesterday, the ninth circuit court of appeals ruled the ban to be unconstitutional. block refugees and foreign nationals from coming into the us from six muslim majority countries. >> several tornados tore across the country yesterday including one that got little too close for comfort. >> oh, no. we're staying here. hang on. >> storm chasers caught this video of one of the three tornados that touched down in wyoming. brought dangerous storms and report of severe rain and golf weather service received a report of at least one injury after severe

weather. look at that stuff flying through the air. >> incredible video. >> that's what i'm always afraid of, not only getting suck up but things knocking me in the head. >> do we have a lot of those on our side of the county from. >> not as they do other parts. >> definitely higher incidence in that part of the country, but it is certainly not unheard of for us to see that happen here. a tornado could spin up anywhere. and there is this weirds mitt cities immune to seeingtoado, n. anyone can see it, just doesn't necessarily always happen over a sit. that's part of the problem, too, when you think about it, if no one was there to see the tornado, and caused no damage, did it really happen? yes, part of the issue when it comes to actually, you know, keeping the record on these things. but regardless, that's neither here nor there. know tore in the i can activity in our forecast for today, certainly a lot mover heat to tell you about. let's get you on outside by starting off just with a view of the live neighborhood network. not the prettiest view you've ever seen, but definately

looks hazy, obviously the center city skyline, view from palmyra cove nature park in the live neighborhood network. mild beginning to the day for sure. but you can see, that haze, and you're going to see more sun than anything throughout the day today. but, eventually, shower or thunderstorm will fire up. it is enough that we have's got to mention it, not enough to cancel outdoor plans. i'll explain in future weather. but look at storm scan here across the region as a whole. basically clear. couple of scattered clouds, really all that's visible on the satelite. but because there is so much moisture, because the dew point are hi, there is the haze that tends to show up. and the air quality is, again, less than ideal, specific to the sensitive group. kids, elderly, nun one that suffers from asthma or respiratory problems this will not be a comfortable dale for you specially the height of the day, 10:00 a.m., to 4:00 p.m., try to stay inside, take it easy out there. but, with that said definitely pluses to days like there is wonderful beach and pool weather. we're up at 74 currently in

atlantic city. cooler by comparison in mount pocono. you won't stay that way. with time, everybody heats up with no problem. so, here's the call in philadelphia. shooting for 96, that would be new number for the records books, breaking the records of 59 last set in 1956. and looking forward, this really is going to be a temperature range that gets scaled back. back to more typical territory tomorrow. all-in-all i think a dry day, shower at least early in the day. but come thursday, that looks great. temperatures being knocked back, humid, high hits 79, real comfortable, then the unsettled weather returns, looks to me like it will stick around not only through the weekend but probably into monday too. >> yes, look at that, another little roller coaster we've got on our hands, katie, thank you so muchment and very good morning to all of you, happy tuesday. so, looking outside right now, construction crews out there. we do have one accident, overall your morning commute, looking pretty good. we have nice dry roadways, climate, looking pretty good. outside, ben franklin bridge, looking great as you push in

it was of course the rant fueled that game five. thirty-nine points, seven rebound, five assists against the calves. he takes home the finals mvp. labron could have won it, labron james dropped 41, he becomes the first player ever to average a triple double in finals history. but the warriors win 129-120. and in this series i just stayed in the moment. and we did it pocket, man. >> to be world champs again, to be able to celebrate, enjoy this experience, it is unbelievable. >> i love everything i have -- i have out on the court, you know, you come up short. >> there have been some disturbances in oakland during the celebrations, but no word on arrests. the victory parade is set for thursday. >> it was a late night for the phillies as well. they started this week's four game home at home series against the red sox. and it started well, but, like most phillies games, it didn't
