anything, you will notice the fact that humidity has been scaled back here as has temperatures too. we are at this point in the mid 60's and yesterday was very warm. we have hovered in those mid 70's for a good portion of the morning. fifty-eight in millville. fifty-nine in atlantic city. more refreshing out there off to the north of the city we are at 57 mount holly where our national weather service regional headquarters is located but with time we expect to rebound nicely to where we should be, not a bad excuse, guys, to dine outside at lunchtime here today. there will be a couple cloud but it noise where near as hot nor humid as in the days pennsylvania so you will will be comfortable, meisha. >> that is what i will do. thank you very much. that sound like a great plan and looking outside now, as katie said gorgeous just a beautiful morning, taking a look at ben franklin bridge for those in new jersey traveling westbound toward center city, just enjoy it. really nice, dry, really comfortable out there. you will probably, not even crank your ac at this point.

just beautiful out there. vine, clear. overnight crews blocking west and eastbound side, westbound side opened 10 minutes ago. eastbound side just followed suit. we are looking good both west and eastbound direction. we are talking about an accident investigation at 3:45 in princeton, new jersey. if you are just waking up with us route one northbound and southbound right now are closed. for a while it was just one side but now both near washington road, your alternate route 206 is your best bet and we have another accident out there on the new jersey turnpike southbound, pennsylvania route 322 partial right lane is block, more coming up in a little bit, jim and rahel, back over to you. congressional charity baseball game in washington d.c. will go on as scheduled tonight one day after shooting that left a top republican law makers in critical condition. >> house majority whip steve scalise was practicing for that game when a gunman opened fire injuring him and three others. in critical condition this morning, still today his teammates and fellow lawmakers will take the field for that charity baseball game with the intent of sending a message. >> if we play we don't play this baseball game and we go home then they win. >> reporter: texas republican roger williams ace monk lawmakers backing the decision to press ahead with today's annual charity baseball game despite witnessing the shooting still rattling capitol hill. republican members of the congress were practicing for that game yesterday when a man identified as james hodgkinson of southern illinois opened fire with the rifle, the 66 year-old again man was shot and killed by officers but not before shooting four and wounding two others. house majority whip steve scalise was shot in the hip and is in critical condition. president trump visited scalise in the d.c. hospital afterward tweet nothing part representative scalise is in very tough shape but he is a real fighter. president praised two capitol police special agents at the practice as part of the

scalise security detail, one officer was shot in the ankle and is recovering, the other officer suffered minor injuries and has been released from the hospital. >> many lives would have been lost if not for heroic actions of the two capitol police office hours took down gunman despite sustaining gunshot wound. >> reporter: investigators searched for a motive, representative mike boss who serves the district hodgkinson was from said his office received several calls and e-mails in the past. illinois representative says in hindsight one raise aid red flag. >> it was not threatening, if you vote this way, we will remember you. well, that means if you are a political activist that means you will work hard's begins me next time that is you don't take that as a physical threat >> reporter: hodgkinson wrote several letters to his local newspaper railing against republicans for what he says were policies that too often favored the rich. the investigation into hodgkinson, continues today, federal investigators are

"eyewitness news" reporter trang do is back live outside montgomery county courthouse with the very latest on the case, good morning, trang do. >> reporter: good morning rahel and jim. over past three days this jury that is deliberated for some 27 hours, so far they have had six questions, two of them they asked yesterday both having to do with rehearing witness testimony including from key witness andrea conn stand. >> ♪ >> reporter: on money sang. >> hey, hey, hey. >> reporter: on tuesday, he imitated animated character fat albert. but on wednesday, bill cosby said nothing leaving court. the third day of jury deliberations with no verdict. s starting to drop off but this time of the day, man, dit feel steamy, not the case right now. lets go outside to storm scan which is devoid of storms. i like when it looks like this we are starting to see heavier thunderstorms popping up in isolated fashion but man, look at the place. , that was just terrible, it went right over that one cell, do you remember it went right over along the major arteries in philadelphia and ac expressway, like it was trying to travel the highways, but storm scan is empty, and it will stay that way all day to day. very heavy thunderstorms bow ing out, look at that structure with very heavy rain and nasty storms, moving through missouri and just, well, right through central part of the ohio river valley. none of that has an impact, certainly not to day, maybe a shower late tonight far north of the city but tomorrow warm front will be lifting and that is where things go downhill. fifty-five is value at airport really comfortable. interestingly warmer in allentown and reading then it

is in philadelphia at this hour but bottom line is it is comfortably cool, and you may easily walk outside without a jacket and be comfortable. fifty-nine in cape may, on shore wind flow that water temperatures chilly for my personal taste but still looks like a nice beach day with that said. lets go out to the shore where you'll end up with some sun, a few cloud, no where near as warm nor as hot as it been in recent days but uv index is high up there take it ease which sun block, put it on and keep in mind that the rip current risk is still moderate and swim near life guard if you plan to go in the water at all do that is a general rule anyway. very pleasant back in the city , high hits 81 where we should be lower 80's where we will top off on this particular day and seasonal for nighttime lows too. dropping down to 63 with cloud starting to rebuild and looking forward, there may be fog here and there, into tomorrow or saturday, for that matter as a warm front lifts in. spotty showers off and on tomorrow, spotty shower or storm on saturday and then
