accidents moving out of the way at this point. >> thankfully in weather related issues. certainly a couple cloud out there but it really is beautiful beginning to the morning. storm scan is quiet as can be. it will stay that way throughout the day say for cloud cover that moves in and works its way through on the satellite but it is tranquil and i love this shot, speaking of tranquil we will go, looking at the cloud coming in here at beach patrol, not one person out there, it feels very comfortable though by comparison, but yes last couple mornings have been very , very steamy. you don't have that at this point the front that dropped in sluggishly i might add yesterday has since made its departure to the south and that is stalling here granted but it is out of our hair for now. we will notice that it feels really comfortable out the door and temperatures reflect that here at 69 from lancaster up to allentown. sixty-two at philly international and it is a bit on the cool side but not cool enough in most spots that it

baseball game with the intent of sending a message. >> we don't play this baseball game and we go home then they win. >> reporter: texas republican roger williams is among lawmakers backing decision to press ahead with today's annual charity baseball game despite witnesses shooting still rattling capitol hill. republican members of the congress were practicing for that game yesterday when a man identified as james hodgkinson of southern illinois opened fire with the rifle, the 66 year-old again man was shot and killed by officers but not before shooting four and wounding two others, house majority whip steve scalise was shot in the hip and in critical condition. president trump visited scalise in the d.c. hospital afterward tweet nothing part representative scalise is in very tough shape but he is a real fighter. the president also praised two capitol police special agents at the practice as part of the scalise's security detail, one officer was shot in the ankle and recovering, other officers suffered minor injuries and has been released from the

hospital. >> many lives would have been lost if not for heroic actions of the two capitol police officers who took down gunman despite sustaining gunshot wound. >> reporter: as investigators search for a motive representative mike boss who serves district hodgkinson was from said his office received several calls and e-mails from the shooter in the past. illinois representative says in hindsight one raise aid red flag. >> it was not as threatening, if you vote this way we will remember you, well, that means if you are a political activist that means you will work harder against me next time. you don't take that as a physical threat. >> reporter: hodgkinson wrote several letters to his local newspaper railing against republicans for what he says were policies that too often favored the rich. the investigation into hodgkinson continues today, federal investigators are reviewing the gun man's on line activity, they say he repeatedly took to facebook to powe anti trump rhetoric. live from the news center, jan

power has been restored to brussels airport after it suffered a outage this morning >> outages hit around 5:00 a.m. brussels time affecting building's luggage and air conditioning systems. hundreds of people were forced to wait outside for problem to be resolved, dozens of early morning flights were delayed as a result. nine people are injured after a massive fire breaks out in the oil refinery in southern mexico, flames started yesterday after a tropical storm partially flooded that plant. officials say that the flooding spread oil throughout the plant's causing it to eventually ignite, none of the injuries were reportedly life threatening. more than 500 people have been evacuate by nearby homes. historic ship wreck has been discovered off the coast of southern california. >> that is taking a look at the wreckage left behind a century after the coastguard cutter mccollough was who in the collision at sea. it began its career during spanish american war and sank in 1917. when they made discovery in

direction, beautiful commute. so far i have to say even though we are cracking in the 6:00 o'clock hour at quarter past or so we are still looking good. i would say 95 moving in the city is where you will be probably the slowest but overall we are looking all right. speaking of i-95 we have had a car fire at i-95 on the northbound side at broad street just a head up they have obviously fire under control but they are still blocking a couple lanes moving in the northbound direction might slow you down a bit. accident investigation happening earlier 3:45 a.m. investigation out there with the down pole route one north southbound near washington road so use this alternate route 206 is your best bet. plus we have another accident new jersey turnpike southbound , before hightstown, two right lanes are blocked there plus construction. we will tell but that in the next 10 minutes. back over to you. several michigan state officials are facing involuntary manslaughter charges in connection with the flint water crisis. five officials have been

charged including nikolay on, current director of health and human services and former flint emergency manager darnell early. some experts have linked flint 's water quality to a deadly out break of legionnaires disease in 2014/ 15. twelve people died during the water crisis. on the healthwatch chemical in the lining of canned food has been linked to diabetes and obesity. chemical is being used less but as julie watts report it can still be found in plenty of products. >> it has been removed from baby products, water bottles and most toys but concerning chemical bisphenol a or bpa is still in a lot of food package s. >> this is a same blank of them. >> center for environmental health tested 250 cans purchased at super markets and dollar stores. they found nearly 40 percent still contain bpa, down from 67 percent from two years ago but. >> still much too high. we need them down to zero.

congressional baseball practice in alexandria, virginia. the gun man 66 year-old james hodgkinson of illinois was shot and killed. investigators believe he may have been in the area since march. >> we believe that the shooter has been living out of his vehicle in the vicinity of eastman road. >> president trump and his wife melania visited congressman scalise and one of the officers last night. press secretary sean spicer describe the scene in the intensive care unit as emotional. undeterred by shooting, the baseball game will go on as scheduled tonight at washington nationals park. annual game dates back to 1909 and raises money for charity. first pitch will be thrown at 7:05 p.m. president trump has said that fired fbi director james comey told him he was not under investigation in the russian meddling case but correspondent reid binion that the story has changed. >> reporter: this report in the washington post this evening, suggests strongly
