fehlinger is joining news our mobile weather watcher but lets start from the weather center with lauren casey. >> thanks, ukee. we are dealing with the line of strong to severe thunderstorms moving through the heart of the delaware valley rolling through center city philadelphia as we speak. rain is pouring down, the wind s are gusting, dealing with very intense wind gusts, within this line, of expansive severe thunderstorms. we have a warning in effect that does include center city fail right now in effect for next 15 minutes. 5:15 for potential of 60-mile an hour wind and wind are really whipping out there severe thunderstorm warning includes camden county, delaware county, gloucester county, philadelphia county this runs for the next 15 minutes. we are seeing torrential rain, possibility of some hail, as well. heavy rain coming down right over the airport, this is airport, in the area getting heavy rain, watch out woolwich is seeing torrential rain, rainfall rates are incredible within these cells. we have .6 of an in falling in

app available on itunes and google play. today is day one of the jury selection in the federal corruption trial of the philadelphia district attorney seth williams. he is accused of misusing campaign fund and taking bribes in exchange for favors. our joe holden has details from the federal courthouse where the jury who will hear that case is being assembled. >> reporter: good evening, just moments ago jury was sat in the case offset williams. it is 10 women and two men, there are also four alternates , all women. inside a private conference room at federal courthouse, prosecutors and lawyers for seth williams are huddled around table, waiting for a pool of 137 jurors. potential jurors are brought in one at a time and asked questions about their knowledge of the questioned pro case against philadelphia 's district attorney. overwhelming amount of jurors told court serving on this jury would be a significant hardship. seth williams is charged in the wide ranging indictment, accused of bribery, extortion

and fraud, allegations suggest williams exerted his official influence as philadelphia's top prosecutor, in exchange for gift and trips there was a car, leather receive, vacation , paid to williams, returned for favors for friend and business associates. williams has resisted demand for top city officials to step down. while he has, denied doing anything criminal his continued role cast a black cloud over d.a.'s office. the judge has moved the corruption case along at wrapped speed, saying a quick resolution is in the public's best interests. once again jury is completely chosen, judge told those jurors to be back here to start at 9:30 in the morning. he expects this case to last somewhere between three and four weeks. outside federal court, joe holden for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". the suspect charged in the stabbing of philadelphia city councilman david oh was supposed to be in court for a preliminary hearing but it was continued until july the 17th.

sean yarbray ace cues of stabbing councilman oh may 31st. councilman was treated and released the very next day. yarbray faces charges including attempted murder and robbery and he has so far denied those allegations. attorneys from the cosby trial are expected back in court tomorrow for a motion hearing, meantime an alternate juror in the sexual assault trial told a pittsburgh radio station he probably would have voted to convict. a mistrial was declared saturday after jury says that they were hopelessly dead locked. four three-year old mike mccloskey said he was ridiculously sick when he found on it main jury could not reach a verdict. prosecutors planned to retrial cosby on charges he drugged and molested andrea constand in 2004. cosby maintains that was consensual. tourist stralling along one of the world's most famous avenues watched as a vehicle rammed in a police carbon monoxide afternoon and tonight , french police say it was an act of terror.

city. other parts of the area things are picking up. we will go over to the weather computer showing you rain on the lens there but gusty wind came to an end but street are wet in and around philadelphia 73 degrees, rain cooled air, wind west at 15 miles per hour , we do have this squall line, line of strong to severe thunderstorms and it is not weakening. still looking very potent, very filled n we will see red and nearly continuous lightening, particularly in the portion of this line that is approaching northern and central delaware. so we will be contending with this line race ago cross the area over next several hours. a few severe thunderstorm warnings, a new one issued for parts of the south jersey until 6:00. we have secondary warning until 6:00 o'clock for a large portion of the burlington county, that includes mount laurel i, leading edge is approaching you right now, pemberton, trenton business to deal with this line. very heavy rainfall embedded gusty wind, seeing rain on the eastern edge of the philadelphia stretching in haddon, palmyra seeing some

rain. heavy rain about to pick up in bensalem. all this moving east/northe at 50 miles an hour. pretty fast paced and yet head up in delaware check out all this lightening nearly continuing, downpour activity, and that likelihood of strong gusty wind in excess of 60 miles per hour for parts of the delaware severe thunderstorm warnings in effect until 5:45. so, for this evening, thunderstorms, strong to severe dealing with rain cooled air when that rain moves through, temperatures dropping back off in the low to mid 70's. overnight tonight severe weather threat will come to an end by late evening hours but we will deal with lingering showers and few rumbles of thunder and temperatures falling back to 7o we have storm reports across berks county wind damage in the form of power lines down, trees down, same case in bath and east bangor, new london township, chester county house struck by lightening, and smoke reported coming from that house. also in parts of the chester county a secondary house struck by lightening, severe

thunderstorm watch does remain in effect for a large portion of the area and has dropped off now in the clear in berks county, lehigh valley and poconos, you saw line coming through for you, i imagine national weather service will start to drop off our western suburbs, counties, montco and bucks county as that line continues to now impact parts of the south jersey. flash flood watch in effect throughout the evening as that midnight for large portion of the area as well. philadelphia and surrounding counties, we have had some reports of the flash flooding so take it ease which your commute, future weather showing us in the 7:00 o'clock hour this line moving through parts of south jersey approaching shore points where it is sunny right now, big head up, prepare for this line along the coast because it will be moving your way and likely not to weaken before it makes an approach later this weekend for shore as we head in the late evening hours. everything starting to quiet down and everything starting to dry out, sunshine returning as we head into tomorrow, a beautiful day in store, mostly sunny skies, low humidity and quiet conditions, after all of

each one with the exception of atlantic, cape may counties. we will zoom in where we have these warnings we see orange shaded areas, parts of the salem, gloucester, cumberland, camden county, burlington county as this line of strong to severe thunderstorms continues to move east at 50 miles an hour, lightening, possibility of 60 miles an hour wind gusts and, of course , extremely heavy and torrential rainfall. most potent portion of the line right now is approaching delaware with severe thunderstorm warnings for new castle and kent counties, sussex county until about 6:30 , head up there, nearly continuing lightening and those strong wind, also torrential downpours is going to make, commuting very difficult, so you really want to wait this out if you are in parts of the delaware, wait until about an hour before you hit that evening commute, as this rain is now approaching and you will see strongest portion of the line in parts of the kent county delaware. severe thunderstorm watch, that is good news there west

>> that is right this research just came out, all of those different positions and contortions, some might think that yoga would aggravate back pain which is an issue for millions of americans but this research, that was released within a hour says yoga can actually be helpful for some people hoff lower back pain. june takes regular yoga classes. >> i apparently have a spine that is covered with arthritis >> reporter: seventy-four years old said yoga eases her back pain. >> i'm much more comfortable with movement. >> reporter: new study backs that up, researchers looked at 300 low income patient was chronic lower back pain some took yoga classes designed for back pain once a week, others did physical therapy. >> we found that the yoga was as effective as physical therapy for reducing pain intensity, improving peoples physical function and perhaps most importantly reducing pain medications use. >> reporter: yes.

now. there is traffic, people clearly sled down. weather is not helping much at all but the really heavy rain that has come through over, say the last, oh, hour or so has moved into new jersey. so i wouldn't say we're out of the wood just yet certainly on city line avenue this section of the road but we definitely have seen ate lot worse over the course of the last hour. so, back here live with the cbs-3 mobile weather watcher we are stuck in traffic, stuck at stop light just like everybody else just trying to get down the roadway here and we will bring you more in the 6:00 o'clock show to show you how conditions are looking elsewhere around the delaware valley, lauren, back inside to you. >> conditions across pennsylvania are now improving , main concern is new jersey, and delaware getting a live look at rehoboth beach, people outside on the beach, it is beautiful but if you have friend, family chilling on the beach right now give them a even if call because it is time to pack it up and head indoors because these severe thunderstorms are heading your

way, nothing going on right now, and, and, storm scan three and severe thunderstorm warning has been issued, just here and these storms are racing their way toward the coast,e/northe at 50 miles an hour. this severe thunderstorm warning for sussex county delaware until 6:45 for 60- mile an hour wind. you can see lightening, embedded within this portion of the line that will continue to head that way so in and around lewis, delaware area at 20 after 6:00. so bring it on in. we will see continuing lightening on the south edge of this squall line or line to strong to severe thunderstorms we have warnings kind of all up and down south jersey, right now in association with this squall line that is heading its way down the shore , trending for weakening is not there. you can see bright red indicating heavy torrential rain and still in there as it continues to race to thee and northe so head up along the coast as well, new jersey

shore if you are outside on the beach you want to move in because we are going to see this line head your way. we will time this out, vineland 5:50. egg harbor 20 after 6:00, in atlantic city 6:30. you don't have too much time to pack it up and storm threats today, flash flooding threat is highlight evening we saul all lightening in that line very high and also we have had numerous wyndam age reports across the area where squall line has made its way through. so heading in your neck of the wood would i expect down trees and down power lines. future weather showing us moving in the shore area at 6:30 to 7:00 still dealing with lingering then are storms in the 8:00 o'clock hour but our severe weather threat will come to than a end by about 9:00 o'clock we will deal with residual rain, residual rumble but not concerned about severe weather for second half of the evening. overnight tonight that rain will clear on out but we have a flash flood watch for large portion of the area through this evening until midnight, rainfall amounts of been significant and thinks coming

these storms certainly packing a punch tonight. good evening i'm ukee washington. i'm jessica dean. we have team three coverage tonight meteorologist katie fehlinger in the cbs-3 mobile weather watcher but we will start off with lauren casey tracking storm here in the studio, lauren, what is latest >> thanks very much. area of concern is new jersey, shore points and much of the delaware as well. you can see the strongest portion with the squall line or line to strong to severe thunderstorms is moving across south jersey. we had quite a few severe thunderstorm warnings drop off but don't let your guard down yet still a very potent line of storms with nearly continuing lightening, torrential downpours and, possibility of 60-mile an hour winds. strongest part of the line right now is heading in to parts of the central and southern delaware where we have severe thunderstorm warnings for kent and sussex county until 6:30 and 6:45 respectively. look at all of this lightening that business to head into southern delaware and, very delaware beaches. friend and
