than comfortable this afternoon, dew point 60s, 40's, to start things out, looking more along the lines mid 50's for dew point later this afternoon. forecast, 72 by 9:00 rising only to 81. so we ends up below average this afternoon, pat, really going to be a very nice monday. so hopefully the roads are hanging in there this morning, too, with people getting a start early on. >> sounds good, matt, appreciate t so looks looks good on the weather maps, roadways not so much. talking about the schuylkill expressway mess now for what seems like the past couple of weeks. in a continues today. this is a look at some construction overnight on the schuylkill expressway headed westbound. from city avenue out to the blue route there is will last all morning, nine p.m. to 5:00 t last night. it will go through thursday overnight. single lane closures here. then 76 westbound from the blue route to 202, this is this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. so again, 10:00 a.m. to

2:00 p.m. this was the same thing going on last week, as women. vine last week cleared, looking good so far, jim, back to you. >> breaking news this morning, officers searching for out of control driver who plowed his car through a crime scene slamming into a police cruiser and several police bikes. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in harrow gate with more on this close call for those officers. trang? >> reporter: good morning, yes, very close call for these officers. fortunately, no one was hurt as this car sped right through a police investigation ongoing here at the intersection of i and erie. still very active scene some hours after this happened. two investigations going on. the initial traffic stop in addition to this car barreling through this intersection, the impact so strong it sent bike helmet flying into that red convertible you see there, but this all started just after 2:30 a.m., officers on bikes and in a patrol car stopped red chrysler see bring convert thal had just been reported

stolen? carjacking at k and pike. now, officer asker he is dollars two men, a gun related to that crime, one officer broke his hands during the two arrests, when officers were on scene here black nissan squeezed through the convertible and patrol car, damage that patrol car and manning link three police bikes, captain drew said the car going as fast as 60 miles per hour. >> the vehicles moving so fast, there may be scratch marks, recent scratch marks, on the caribous this vehicle did strike at least three philadelphia police bicycles. so it would be safe to say that there should be some kind of damage or marks or dent on the vehicle. >> and again, police are looking for black nissan with dark tinted windows, possibly you will tim a with some of the minor damage that he just described. investigators are hoping surveillance cameras at

several businesses here at this intersection will help them identify this driver, as well, as this car that was involved. for now, live in harrow gate, trang do, cbs-3 "eyewitness news," jan, jim, back to you. >> new this morning, a man is shot to death in philadelphia's kensington section, officers found the victim near d and allegheny street, just after 11:00 last night. they say he was standing on that street with his girlfriend and one other friend when the shooter walk up to him and fired without warning. police have not released the motive or made any arrests. >> another shooting this time a man ambushed by a gunman in philadelphia's frankford section. >> this shooting happened on the 1,000 block of harrison street just after midnight. police say the victim was walking to his car with his girlfriends, when the shooter came out from behind a bush. he shot the victim four times. he's now in stable condition. the victim's girlfriends tells police she believes the suspect is her exboyfriend, so far no one is in custody. >> in other news, firefighters believe that this blaze in

wildwood crest may have started with a air-conditioning unit located between two homes. the flames broke out on the 7100 block of park boulevard around 3:00 yesterday afternoon, the fire could be seen for miles, and was captured on cell phones by beach-goers. we caught up with some folks who spotted the billowing black smoke from their nearby homes. >> went downstairs, opened up the sliding glass door, and there is a lady standing there. and i toll her your house is on fire, get out. the winds was blowing, then the whole block would be gone, i'm luck my house is standing. >> so far fire marshals do not believe the fire is suspicious, but no word on what exactly caused the beachfront blades. five officials say both homes will likely need to be knock down and then rebuilt. >> no one, for the lip, was hurt. >> fire off initials chester count have i figured out what caused a deadly house fire that killed a nine year old boy. this was on buck walter road,

east coventry township. authorities say flames broke out around 5:30 yesterday morning, "eyewitness news" has learned the fire started in the home's kitchen. the chester county fire marshall has ruled this fire accidental. >> a dog attack in south philadelphia sent a child to the hospital. this happened along the 1500 block of south 26th street, just after 9:30 last night. the child was transported to children's hospital. it is unclear at this time where the child was bit or who the dog belongs to. no word on that child's condition. police in camden country investigating after a woman is found shot to death inside of her home. investigators say 45 year old dianna marie suprem scourto. winslow township. officers tried to provide aid, but scourto died at the scene. >> argument between two men at a bar in southwest philadelphia ends in gunfire. now there is happened just before 5:00 yesterday afternoon inside baron dicks avenue near south 65th street.

officials say the 24 year old victim was shot once in the chest. he was returned to the hospital in critical condition. still no word on an arrest. >> well, we now know the names of the man and woman involved in a deadly stand-off with police in lehigh county on saturday. the woman is identified as 25 year old emily from pike county pa, officials say the man is 33 year old eric messick from northampton counties. their bodies discovered in a attic after home they were hell inside in upper saw con township. officers say it was a murder suicide. a stand-off with police began shortly afternoon saturday when the couple was stopped by police. the couple began firing shot at officers there. then they attempt topped enter two homes before, discovered in the attic after third home. >> today begins the second week of philadelphia district attorney seth williams' federal trial. williams faces bribery and corruption charges. last week, featured testimony from muhammad ali, a businessman prosecutors say

below average for this time of year. even looking into july and august too, that 81 will be well below as we were in the middle of july. 87 degrees, average high temperature there. eighty-four august. so again, across the board looking at again temperatures today that are little below what we usually look at for it time of year. storm scan3, it is always nice when we can wake up in the morning not have anything to worry about, barely any cloud cover out there to start the day out. everything that we see is just clear skies. allowed temperatures to fall off. hopefully opened up the windows, got fresh air going, because it it has been wonderful night. now a start to the monday, 71 degrees in wildwood, 65 wilmington, 61 headed into berks county, reading. fifty-six allentown, 51 this morning in mount pocono. here are the dew point, in the 40's, 50's, they could maybe rise little bit as we go into the later parts of the morning into the afternoon, could be more on the low to mid 50 range. but again, overall, in the awesome comfort level. that's for sure

for our monday morning. and then we will be checking in seven day, real quick, 81 degrees the high temperature this afternoon, 79 tomorrow, back up into the 80s by the middle of the week. heat and humidity unfortunately are going to return, as we get toward the ends of the week, pat. so, hopefully people can get out and enjoy the beginning of this week. >> not bad at all. dig that five day, the weekend humidity, we'll take that in the summer, we know what that entails, appreciate t looking at the vine street expressway thus far this morning, there was an accident that has since been cleared so far so good. nothing here. but something to tell you about, that overnight construction that we've gotten used to, that's coming back, that will be monday through thursday, 11 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. so we're kinds of used to that if we do take the vine street expressway. the schuylkill, wrapping up their construction westbound, that was overnight from city avenue out through the blue route. but also, that will continue through the week. sunday through thursday, nine p.m. to 5:00 a.m. one lane will be closed in this

area. and then this afternoon, the schuylkill westbound from 476 out to 202. that's 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., again, monday and tuesday, so, that will make it little heck tim later this afternoon. jfk boulevard will see some closures as well. going westbound between 20th street and schuylkill avenue. that's 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. it will close 21st, 22nd, and 23rd street in that area as well, jim. >> that will be a mess, thank you, patrick. still ahead: new development in the airbag scandal. live report from wall street. >> we take to you auction of disney lands memorabilia. can you guess how much a map of the original park sold for? we'll tell you after the break.

monday across the delaware valley. we will see temperatures that are more than comfortable, the humidity will be lower. and even here so far this morning, it is a nice clear start to the day. getting a look from atop "eyewitness news," as the skyline, again, no clouds out there just yet. temperatures in the high 60s, maybe you were able to open the windows last night, got little breeze, as well, that was able to maybe get little fresh air going in the house and the apartment. and again, it will be on the cool side of things to start things out. we're in the 60s right now, we will be warming things up later this afternoon, though, up into the low 80s, again, with the, pat, low humidity it, will just feel fantastic, on this monday afternoon. i don't think we can ask for better way to start the week. >> got to love it, matt, got to love the seven day forecast that matt will tell but coming up. got to love this view of the ben franklin bridge headed camden into the city of philadelphia, looking a-okay this morning, no delays right here. same is not true for the schuylkill expressway. ton of stuff going on, including construction, that is going on overnight actually that just cleared. but later this afternoon
