now, it is still 51, in mount pocono. maybe some surrounding areas in the poconos, even getting down to the 40's this evening, and now this morning, 68, in philly, it is 59 millville. sixty-six down in dover. we were 72, wildwood, now dipped down into the six off's there, as well. check out the rest of the shore points. kind of in the high zero six range because of the lands breeze going on, so little warmer air over the lands and over the water so again keeping our temperatures up at the beach this morning, we will be getting into 75 in philly by 10:00 this morning, all the way up to 81, so again little on the cooler than average side today. >> do you have take the sunglasses, you'll need them driving around. >> bright and beautiful. we'll take it, a look at the vine street expressway, 5:02, in the morning, not bad, but overnight construction will return starting overnight tomorrow. that will run through thursday, so, just keep an eye on that if you travel overnight or early in the morning. schuylkill expressway, as i mention, construction has cleared, overnight, but that's another one that will be going through thursday, nine p.m. to

5:00 a.m. and also, keep note of this: same as last week, 76, that's from the blue route out to 202. it will be monday and tuesday. 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., really causing a mess late morning, early afternoon will cause a mess in the city. between 20th street and schuylkill avenue will close 21st, 22nd, 23rd street, going over jfk boulevard, that's from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. we've got plenty more to update you on, jim, coming up. >> thank you, pat. updating breaking news, several philadelphia police officers have close call with a hit-and-run driver, now, they are looking for the person behind the wheel. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do is live in harrow gate this morning, good morning, trang, what's the latest? >> police just cleared the scene. fortunately no one was hurt as this car went speeding through an active police investigation here at the intersection of i and erie. what police have yesterday to determine at this point is whether this was an intense

sean al act to harm police, but here is what we do know. this all started just after 2:30, at this intersection here, when officers on bikes and in a patrol car stopped a red chrysler, see bring convertible, that just had been reported stolen in a carjacking at k and pike. officers arrested two men and recovered gun related to that crime. one officers also broke his hands during those arrests a black nissan jazzed between damage ago police car and manning link three bikes. they say the car going as fast as 06 miles per hour. >> it amazes me how police are out here doing the job in the middle of the night providing public safety to all philadelphians, and this has to happen where somebody has complete disregard to the safety of police officers trying to provide protection

to the city. >> and again, police are looking for a black nissan possibly you will tim a with some minor damage and scratches and possibly some dents. they're hoping when these businesses open up here, to check out some surveillance cameras, to see if they can identify this car, as well as this driver. but for now, live in harrow gate, trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jan, jim, back to you. >> trang, thank you. >> also, new this morning, police are investigating a deadly shooting in philadelphia's kensington section, officers found the victim near d and allegheny street, standing on the street with his girlfriends and another friend when the shooter walked up to him, and fired without warning. police have not released a motive or made any arrests at this point. >> also, overnight, man in philadelphia's frankford section is ambushed by a gunman, now there is happened on the 1,000 block of harrison street, just after midnight. police say the vick em was walk to go his car with his girlfriends, when the shooter emerged from behind a bush. he was shot four times and

he's now in stable condition. now the victim's girlfriends tells police she believes the suspect is her ex-boyfriends. so far, no one is in custody. t resumes in the federal corruption trial of philadelphia district attorney seth williams. prosecutors say williams accepted bribes in the form of various gifts, in exchange for legal favors, last week, businessman, muhammad ali was on the stand and told jurors err paid for a vacation for williams, and gave the da other loans and gifts, williams has denied any wrong-doing. well these clouds of smoke and massive flames could be seen for miles in wildwood crest, now officials are trying to figure out what caused the devastating fire. >> this was the scene 7100 block of park boulevard around 3:00 yesterday afternoon. firefighters say the blaze may have started with a air-conditioning unit, between two homes there, we caught up with some folks who were nearby when the flames broke

out. >> went downstairs, opened up the sliding glass door, and there is a lady stand there. i told her, your house is on fire, get out. >> the winds was blowing, the whole block would be gone. i'm luck my house is standing. >> now, there is no word yet on exactly what sparked the fire. however, fire marshals say they do not believe the fire is suspicious, we're told both homes there will likely need to be knock down and rebuilt, fortunately, no one was hurt. >> meanwhile, fire officials in chester count have i figured out what caused fatal house fire that killed a nine year old boy. this was on buck walter road, east coventry township, authorities say the flames broke out around 5:30 yesterday morning. "eyewitness news" has learned that the fire began in the home's kitchen. the chester county fire marshall says the fire has been ruled accidental. >> well, a child is in the hospital this morning, after a dog attack in south philadelphia. this happened along 1500 block every south 26th street just after 9:30 last night. the child was transported to chop. it is unclear at this time

whether the child was bit, or who belonged to the dog -- hot dog belonged to. no word on that child's condition. >> seventy-five year old man, sent his car into the side of a building. it happened, the victim's car was clipped by another car near 13th and master streets. the impact forced his car off the road into a light pole and through a fence before it slammed into that building. the driver of the other vehicle, fortunately, is expected to be okay. >> in camden county now, the investigation continues into the shooting death of a winslow township woman. investigators say 45 year old dianna marie scordo shot in her home the 700 block of fair more avenue. officers tried to provide aid, but she died at the scene. still no word on any arrests. >> well, shooting inside southwest philadelphia bar leaves a man critically injured, this happened just before 5:00 yesterday afternoon inside after baron

dicks avenue near south 65th street. police say a 24 year old man was shot in the chest following an argument with another man. so far police have made no after he cents. >> police have now released the names of the man and woman who died in a stand-off with police in lehigh county saturday. >> the woman is identified as 25 year old emily fatssinger from pike county pennsylvania, officials say the man is 32 year old eric messick from northampton counties. their bodies discovered in the attic after home they were found inside. officers say it was a murder suicide. now, stand-off began with police shortly afternoon saturday when the couple was stopped by police the couple began firing handguns at the officers then they attempted to enter two homes before being discovered in the attic of third home in that area. >> still ahead, battle brewing over the gop healthcare bill. >> we will tell you how many republicans are now opposed to the legislation, and what the president is saying about it. >> also ahead, scary moment,

>> eight people recovering after a driver un the influence slams through a wall and crashes into a motel swimming pool in california. this happen before 7:30 last night local time there. seven people were hurt and treated for minor injuries, authorities have not publicly identified the suspect, but we're told he's in critical condition. >> wild fires continue to pair through part of the west. >> as read bin john tells us

this morning. we were talking about it being a top ten day, practically perfect afternoon for us, mostly sunny skies, today, warm temperatures out there, as women. but not going to be overly hot. low humidity and light breeze, so if you have the chance today to maybe skip out of work or you want to kind of push off the start to your work week, today will not be bad day to get outside and enjoy yourself. temperatures are on the warmer side but actually not all that far off from average. we should be dipping down in philly to right around 67 degrees. starting the day out at 68. allentown is 56. wilmington is 65. down at the shore point, though, see low to even maybe upper 60s down toward wildwood. future weather, through the afternoon hours, maybe few high clouds, spotty shower, possibility, mainly north of the city as we head through the late afternoon and into the evening hours, and the same kind of holds true through the nighttime hours, spotty shower, maybe isolated rumble every thunder not ruled out. by tomorrow morning by 7:00,

8:00 as we get our day going on tuesday it should be relatively dry. should be easy drive to work tomorrow and today. >> future weather pulls in few showers, maybe once again isolated rumble every thunder for our tuesday afternoon, not going to be riley over widespread rainy day for us it, could be cool, humidity will be low. that won't allow ton of shower and thunderstorm activity to fire up. get to 81 degrees this afternoon, 79 for us, on tuesday, so that's well below normal. again, few clouds, few extra clouds anyway, then back to the 80s on wednesday, another great day there. we see plenty of sunshine, dry then the heat and humidity returning on thursday and friday, pat, gets back up into the high 80s and 90's so enjoy this while we have it. >> still four, five days, not looking sod bad. love it, matt, thank you so much. looking at 95 headed towards the city if right past the betsy ross bridge, looking good so far, at what is it 5:17 this morning, so as we

know around 6:00 a.m., when it starts to heat up in this area. but so far so good. and the same is true right here, the 42 freeway, in new jersey, headed toward 295 and the city of philadelphia headlight towards the city but again thumbs-up here as well. but his is something that has been going going on for quite some time. route 70 eastbound and westbound, between penn avenue and cropwell road. alternating lanes are closed through friday. so this is causing a little bit after mess as go through cherry hill. also later on today, on 95, once again, northbound, southbound, between broad street, enterprize avenue, one lane will be closed, that's between nine a.m. and 3:00 p.m. so, mark that down if you are headed toward that area. also, construction, we have been talking about it now for awhile, the schuylkill expressway westbound, from the blue route, 202, that will happen today, and tomorrow, starting at 10:00 a.m., going through 2:00 p.m. it will be one lane closed, it will cause a mess, as it usually does, when one lane is closed on the schuylkill

right afternoon, it is a 3:40 start against the arizona diamond backs, yesterday, phils starter jeremy hellickson held arizona to one run over six innings, and kicked the d backs off first base. phils tied the game on a seventh inning single by how i kendrick, and just like, that we get three extra baseball. of course we do, because it is in the phillies. in 11th the diamond backs would win it, walk off fashion on single by daniel. the phillies are 26 games un 500, and more than 20 games back in the nl east. only june, my friends. looks like tim tebow is making the climb through the minor leagues, the mets promoted the former heisman trophy winner to advance a ball. the 29 year old former eagles quarterback was hitting just .222 with three homeruns, meds at mitt he wasn't tearing up league but they've seen enough. it is time for him to move up a level. free agency is for the flyers and sixers opens this saturday
