driver sped through an active police investigation around 2:30 monday morning. >> there was no logical reason for this. this vehicle may have done this intentionally, in a attempt to harm the officers. >> it all started here at a different screen scene near the intersection of k and pike streets after man reported that he had been carjacked. >> coroner, guys came, and hit me in my head, took my -- >> officers were able to stop the stolen car, a red chrysler see bring convertible, at the intersection of "i" street and erie avenue. they arrested two men in the car who tried to runoff and also recovered a gun. during the investigation, police say a man driving a black nissan possibly a you will tim a barrelled through the scene going as fast as 16 miles an hour. the car narrowly missed several officers, before speeding off. >> somebody has complete disregard to the safety of police officers trying to

provide protection to the city. >> the victims of the carjack to go came to the scene to look for player belong, also in disbelief to the bizarre series every events. >> no reason that nobody should have been speeding around here like they should be minds full, too. >> in harrowgate, trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." >> authorities are investigating a deadly accident on the new jersey transit tracks, just north absecon atlantic county. chopper three over the train earlier this morning. police say a pedestrian victim was struck by the train a little after 7:00. the victim's name has not been released. so far there is no explanation as to why the victim was on the tracks. train service has been restored in the area. in other news this noon, deputy commissioner joe sullivan the first to testify in the federal corruption trial of philadelphia district attorney seth williams. he spoke briefly outside the courthouse, in center city, after his testimony. >> going back, which i had been many times, over what happened, considering how it

gun. >> back here at home, police investigating a deadly shooting in philadelphia's kensington section. officers found 23 year old nino riviera near d street and allegheny avenue after 11:00 last night. investigators say, he was standing with his girlfriends, and another man, when the gunmen walked up and fire without warning. police are now searching for suspect and a motive. well, clouds of smoke and massive flames could be seen for miles in wildwood crest yesterday. now, fire officials are trying to figure out what exactly caused the devastating fire. >> well this wa was the scene on the 7100 block of park boulevard, around 3:00 yesterday afternoon, they say the fire may have started with air-conditioning unit, that was located between two homes. fire marshall says they do not believe the fire is suspicious, we spoke with some folks who were nearby, when the flames broke out. >> went downstairs, open up the sliding glass door, lady standing there. i told her your house is on

countries now out of legal limbo, supreme court has overturned the lower court orders that blocked it, and justices will hear arguments later in the case this fall. correspondent weijia jiang with more from the supreme court. >> the supreme court adjourn for the summer, but not before it handed a victory to president donald trump. >> roo will review the president's travel ban on citizens from six muslim majority countries and allows the trump administration to mostly enforce the president's executive order while the legal battle continues. the court would only have granted this, would only have allowed the most of the travel ban to go in place if it thinks that at this point without full briefing and argument that the golf is likely to succeed. >> the zero nine day ban would apply to citizens of iran, libya, somalia, sued end, syria, and yemen. those people will not be allowed to come into the united states unless they have a credible claim of bonafide relationship with the person

or entity in the united state. >> the trump administration said that travel ban was needed during a internal review of the screening process for people from those countries. the travel ban sparked massive protests and lawsuits, all of which the trump administration lost until now. the court said it will hear arguments in the case in october, when it reconvenes, weijia jiang, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." >> meantime, senate republicans are skeptical about the gop healthcare overhaul, and are expressing doubts about a vote before the fourth of july recess. so far, five republican senators oppose the plan, and that would be enough to torpedo the legislation, the congressional budget office could release its analysis of the bill as early as today. well the pool facility in wilmington, delaware, where former vice president joe biden was once lifeguard now bears his name. the pool at the brown burton win chester park has officially been renamed the joseph r biden junior aquatic

but even the first couple every days of this week, is this continued stretch of very comfortable conditions, and as we look at what we can expect this week, the decent sunshine goes with it, but then the heat and humidity returns, and then few thunderstorm chances will be thrown into the mix, a little bit tonight, and our tuesday, but more, as we head into the second half of our work week. outside right now, check out the rehoboth beach, it is packed, on our neighborhood network cam. you know what? i can see why. just fantastic beach day. temperatures are going to be this afternoon, upward of just around 80 degrees, again, that low humidity, just make sure to put the sunscreen on, because again that uv index is high, lancaster right now sitting at 75, we're at 79. in philly, 78 down in dover. as you get look at the jersey shore points, atlantic city, 79, wildwood, seven, a the ocean though it is a chilly 61, so if you are down at the beach, and you dip your foot in the water, you're definitely going to be feeling that chill. here is our index for the comfort level, the dew point it, measures just how humid it is out there,

our current dew point, 39. thirty-nine. that is even off the scale. we can't even get lower, don't go lower than 50, at 39. so we're definitely off, i don't think it gets any better than this dry air that right now is sitting over top of the delaware valley. it will be great night to grill out tonight. maybe that's your plan, do little dining he will fresco if you can, 77 degrees, right around the 6:00 time frame or so. so that low humidity sticks around, it is warm, it is sin, it will be again great night to hang out outside as much as you can. future weather shows we continue with the clear conditions all the way through the afternoon hours. few spotty showers, through the nighttime. generally north of the city. but can't rule out maybe stray shower around philly as well going through the night tonight by tomorrow morning though dry drive to work for our tuesday. little bit more cloud cover for us tomorrow. and showers maybe a pop up thunderstorm, a possibility, on our tuesday. but again, looks like for the most part the best chance will be maybe be down into south jersey. can rule chance out for philly, or areas

northward. keep eye out for that going through the day tomorrow. high temperature today, 81. with all of the sunshine out there, our seven day forecast, 79 tomorrow with little bit less sunshine, and few chances for some showers. wednesday, though, back to wonderful conditions, 81 degrees, staying nice. sunshine is back for us. then here comes the heat and humidity. on thursday, it is 87. we don't have any precipitation in the forecast. again the humidity starts to crank up. then 90 degrees by our friday. jim, i heard that ugh. right as i was walking on back to the desk here. the thunderstorm activity for us friday and saturday, too, check it out, 90 degree, thunderstorms again, that sigh said it all, folks. >> i have paint to go do next week outside. this is not helping me. >> but today is lovely. i took a walk outside. >> but we're in here. >> i know. >> but couple more minutes. you can do it. >> well, what a sweet site. take a look at this. this trio of tigers are just hours old. they were born at safari park in ukraine yesterday. the park houses about 50 tigers and lions, cubs
