valley international airport. yesterday's storm damaged two small planes there, one lost its knows gear, airport officials confirm no one was hurt, downed trees, roof leaks, closed the section of while i post concourse. meantime wild weather also left damage in montgomery county and pottstown, now, this massive tree was uprooted and sent tumbling onto a shed below. the path there is broken and crack, large tree once stood. >> once the storm pals dollars some saw this rainbow, "eyewitness news" viewer amy and her son, zach, saw this in bala cynwyd. not just one, though, but a double rainbow. >> everything has calmed down for now. what about as we head to the fourth of july? meteorologist, matt peterson joins us live now with the eyewitness weather forecast, good morning, matt. >> good morning, jan, it was a wild kind of afternoon and early evening across the area. and besides that, though, also trans will across the delaware valley with some sunshine, that was breaking through,

after the storm pushed through the area, and here this morning, again, it is looking very nice, a warm sunday morning for us, but clear start to the day. wonderful view of the skyline from atop "eyewitness news" here, very few clouds out there. 73 degrees, current temperature to start things offer on this sunday morning. and our humidity is a little bit lower this morning, and it actually will be continued on that low side as we go through the afternoon. so our feels like temperature right now is the same as our air temperature. yesterday morning we were actually registering heat index couple of degrees above the air temperature even few hours before this time frame yesterday. temperatures out there, some 60s to the north, including reading, allentown at 68 degrees. seventy-four, wilmington, 71 in dover, so again, still little warm as you head down to the south, millville, 66, 72, kicking off the day in atlantic city. now dew point, they look hi, in the 60s, and you see some 70s out there, you might think well it will feel muggy stepping out the door. dew point are usually higher,

to arrest. well the new jersey state government remains closed today. several government services have stopped due to the shutdown. governor chris christie and the democrat led legislation your will meet again this after none in the hopes of working out a budget. "eyewitness news." >> well, new jersey is not the only state beginning the new fiscal year without a budget. delaware lawmakers meeting at 1:00 to hammer out new spanning plan. yesterday the legislature voted for short-term measure, fund state government at fiscal 17 levels for 72 hours, spends being plan hit a snag when republicans refuse to support higher income taxes, proposed by governor john carney and fellow democrat. >> investigators in little racker -- rock arkansas believe a night club where 28 people were wounded may be gang related. gunfire at the power ultra lounge early saturday morning, two of the victims now in critical condition, but all of them are expected to survive. investigators say, the shooting appears to be connected by a dozen drive by shootings over the previous nine days. know that we have to use a hammer, weaver use a big hammer, on the people who would do violence with guns and hurt people. >> police have not made any

arrests. the city's mayor says the night club will be shutdown, the landlord has already posted an eviction notice. >> we are getting our first look at the weapon used in friday's deadly hospital shooting at a new york hospital. police have released this photo of the am15 rifle. investigators say, doctor henry bellow, former employee, brought the rifle into bronx lebanon hospital underneath a white lab coat. police say bellow shot and killed one person, and wounded six others before killing himself. >> yesterday five were in critical condition, three have been downgraded to the stable, and doing quite well. we are happy with their progress. one particular patient is still critical and stabilized but we feel he will need additional surgery. >> investigators say bellow resigned from the hospital back in 2015 after allegations of sexual harrassment. president trump isn't letting up on his criticism of

area. we had the skies clear out, it still stayed warm, but again, not a bad evening for us here in philly. take look at the holiday headlines. now getting into the second half of our kind of long holiday weaken here. today, we go with more sunshine out there, that is good news for us, of course we had the boundery move, cold front came through. less humidity, even though it will be a little bit warmer this afternoon than what we had yesterday. monday for us, lots of days off for lots of folks. plenty of sunshine once again, it will be hot though for the beginning of the work week, we call it the beginning of the work week, but again lots of folks taking monday off. fourth every july, sun and clouds out there, calling it a pop up storm chance on the fourth of july itself t really though looks like for the most part those chances are going to be pretty slim, and they're going to be much later on in the day. it doesn't look like fireworks going to be a wash out at this point. but again, just kind of keeping an eye on things, for again, later in the day on tuesday. outside rehoboth here this morning, wonderful looking scene, couple every people out there enjoying the start to the day down at the shore

line. if you are down at the beach today, it will be a great day for us. so mostly sunny skies, temperatures on the beach, eight a, to about 90 degrees, so warm day, that's for sure. southwesterly winds, five to 10 miles per hour, water temperature feeling good at this point, up to the 70s, uv index hi, make sure wearing the sunscreen, rip current for today looks to be on the lower ends, but you always need to swim by the lifeguard, be careful, even though rip countries being is low, doesn't mean there is a chance for t here in the city 9 degrees for high temperature this afternoon, lower humidity really what we are looking at today even though couple of degrees warmer today than where we were yesterday. when you compare this to average, 86 is our average high temperature, so slightly above that for this afternoon, 87 what we should be looking at the beginning of august and september, by that point, dipping back down into the lower 80s, so this 90 degrees, we're going to be looking for for probably the next two month or so, then start to finally cool things back down, as we head toward the fall time. now, of course, today will be pretty nice, future weather

started looking monday, looks like mostly sunny day for most every us from philly back down to the east. but we could see maybe an afternoon shower, afternoon rumble every thunder for us tomorrow up to the poconos, lehigh valley, most part tomorrow night maybe few stray showers, across philly, but looks like it should be relatively quiet monday night for us, and then of course the fourth every july itself starting things out with some sunshine for us early on in the day on tuesday. and then even though our future weather not painting in right now, any precipitation chances, we of course do have that slim chance for pop up shower or thunderstorm later on in the afternoon on tuesday, as well. temperatures, if you are just waking up 60s to the north, 70s here in fill, back down toward atlantic city as well 69 degrees in wildwood. seven day forecast, 09 degrees this afternoon, sunny, hot out there, but the lower humidity. going with 91, little more sunshine for us, and staying hot monday, stray shower is not ruled out. tuesday, 87, is going to be one of the cooler days this week with wednesday coming in also at 85. and then, you see there, 86

>> it is sunday, july 2nd, good morning, everyone, i'm jan carabeo. meteorologist, matt peterson, liver out there on the cbs-3 skydeck this morning, with eyewitness weather. so, matt, when i walked out the door, it was still muggy out there. you say it will feel better today, right? >> yes, it will be a little bit bet they are afternoon, and while it does still feel a little bit sticky out here, i'll gulf that you, still not as bad as it was 24 hours ago. yesterday at this time it felt like were you walking into a sauna as soon as you step outside. so little better so far here on our sunday. it will continue to get little drier going through the afternoon as westerly winds bring in some drier air. storm scan3 showing you nothing really going on out there. few high clouds just pushing away from the city at this point, again, westerly winds is pushing in that drier air, that's again, moving those clouds away from us.

temperatures for the most part still mild, to say the least, 73 degrees right now here in philly. some 306's out there to the north and west, including reading at 68. mount pocono waking up this morning 63, down to 67 in millville. then, 72 for you, at the atlantic city airport. little cooler down at the beach in wildwood, 69. so, again, temperatures high zero six to low seven range for most of the morning, that's what we are expecting, then we will he see it climb up looks like into the higher eight's to around zero nine for most of the region later this afternoon. dew point right now still as we talked about, little bit on the muggy side, still seeing couple of 70s out there, but we will see these actually dip as we go through the afternoon, because, again, westerly winds continues to bring in the drier air. here your hour by hour forecast, high temperature of 90 degrees this afternoon, plenty of sunshine for us, when we are talking about maybe pop up shower, maybe pop up thunderstorm for the fourth every july, jan, going to break down the forecast in just a little bit. >> today looking pretty good. thank you, matt. new information, as authorities in chester county continue searching for a

driver after a road rage incident leaves a woman dead there. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, live in west goshen, where we expect to hear from police, later this morning. anita? >> that's right, jan, police may have found that red pick-up truck believed to be involved in this suspected road rage incident, take a look at new photos, and surveillance video released of the red chevy pick-up truck believed to be faded, driven by somebody in his 30's, to 40's, with medium build. he's believed to be the man that shot and killed 18 year old bianca roberson in road rage incident on wednesday afternoon. it happened on route 100 here in west goshen township. as both of those drivers were trying to merge into the same lane. district attorney here tom hogan said the man pulled out a gun and then shot the teen in the head. there is a $5,000 reward for any information leading to arrest. as you mention, jan, there is a press conference scheduled for 10:00 this morning here at west goshen police department. so we will be here this morning, and bring you all

surgeries and was just released from the hospital. she decided to speak out because while most have been praying for her, she feels some have judged her in what happened wednesday night. >> people think i did something because i'm the only one that got shot. but it was -- it didn't happen to them, their child, it didn't happen -- it is not them. >> diamond whitaker doesn't live in philadelphia. she was only visiting her grandmother when she decided to sleep over her friends' house nearby. she now trying to be strong and use her unfortunate experience to spread a simple message. >> watch your surroundings. >> duane a davis is her mother. >> for a 16 year old, she smart, she is not into the boys thing, she like -- i just don't know why somebody would do it to my child. >> cbs-3, "eyewitness news." >> a man is in stable condition this morning, after a shooting in kensington.

officers responded to north orianna and with us cumberland streets yesterday afternoon. police say 21 year old plan was shot once in the abdomen, and another time in his right side. no word on what sparked this shooting or any arrests. the landlord that owns the little rock night club that was the scene of mass shooting has put an eviction notice on the building. at least 25 people were shot early saturday morning during a concert at power ultra lounge. as wendy gillette report, police believe the shooting may be gang related. >> the birrage every gunfire was broadcast on facebook live, from inside a night club, in little rock, arkansas. panic club goers ran for their lives, to get away from the chaos while dodging bullets. >> got shot, man. >> this man hid under a pool table. >> i lay in wait for the gunshot to stop. they went on about ten minutes. >> police believe several people got into an argument and gunfire was exchange dollars, injuring dozens. the youngest victim is just 16 years old.

what's going to be continuing to move on in as we go throughout the daytime hours today. it really is going to be a very nice afternoon. now, looking toward the fourth. our sunday we know will be good. even for the most part monday. it will be pretty nice, going to see sunshine for at least the first half of the day, if not the first about two thirds of the afternoon. but then you see a weak another boundery kind of up toward the great lakes. that's eventually going to slide on in. and it really gives us the chance for maybe a late day shower or maybe an isolated rumble every thunder, more along the lines of maybe late tomorrow, and then also once again late on our fourth of july holiday. so don't get overly concerned with our thunder storm graphics here. really looks like it will be a spotty chance, it will be later on in the day, but i really don't think that we will be dealing with any kind of problems whether it comes to seeing fireworks on tuesday night. for wednesday, though, lot of folks head back to work, on the back side of a cold front. lot every sunday shine, then also going to be seeing cooler temperatures, but humidity still probably does stick aroundment going out tonight, philly at the move thinks
