hart calls it one of his biggest accomplishments yet. i sit down with the actor to talk about the honor he's getting from his hometown of philadelphia. also, sent city apartment building forcing evacuations. >> first a snake escapes. a 7-foot python is back with its owner but not before causing a stir in a local neighbor. tonight that own are in is also explaining how the python got loose. good evening, i'm ukee washington. >> i'm jessica dean "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live in hunting park with the story. david? >> reporter: jessica, the 7-foot burmese python came here as petunia that's what employees here at acct philly named him he left with his real name ky. he's home with his owner tonight and his owner says it will not happen again. >> unique reunion wednesday night outside of animal control in philadelphia. as he walked out with his seven month python in tow. >> surprised by all the attention not surprised he really got out.

he's usually out in the house sometimes he got out of the actual house you know i can't really say surprising die have the door open. >> reporter: al shabazz was working outside of his point breeze home and ky got out through that open door. the snake slithered his way to margo rollins flowers. >> it was long. i seen him when it police picked it up and pup it in the bag. i'm standing there watching everything. >> reporter: but police were called animal control took ky to acct philly they named him if he tune january let us meet him. >> he's squeezing my neck. >> amy work with acc philly petunia was showing little affection. >> we believe he's a burmese python. he's very friendly. he's probably someone's pet. they're probably looking for him. >> reporter: few hours later, petunia went back to being ky when his owner came to pick him up and bring him back home. >> i have a few cats and kids. he's fine. very domesticated. only wrestles when it's time to eat. other than that just another pet. >> reporter: the snake owner

will make sure this does not happen again but he understands why neighbors needed to call police and he understands why animal control got involved. ukee and jessica? >> david, thanks for that. authorities are trying to determine the cause of a fire at a center city apartment building. chopper three over the scene. firefighters responded after smoke was seen billowing from the roof and the second floor of an apartment building at 13th and walnut. it's believed the fire started on the second floor. the building was evacuated and no one was injured. in manayunk a nine month old baby was taken to the hospital after he was discovered with a hyper poe determine mick needle in his leg. it happened in the 200 block of green lane just before 9:00 p.m. officials say the baby's father was with the child when he rolled on to the needle. that baby is now in stable condition and authorities are testing the needle. five men are facing charges after getting into altercation with lifeguards on the beach taking they're attention away from the water. four of the suspects are now facing a charge of aggravated assault.

alex san degree hoff in ocean city with more an an incident that escalated after complaints from fellow beach goers. >> reporter: being a member of the ocean city beach patrol means more than just watching the water. those lifeguards stands serve as husband for any beachgoer with an issue. >> people come up with all kinds of problems and this is one of things they handle. most of too of the time, all the time we don't have problem like this. >> reporter: around 4:30 july 4th several families reported to lifeguards manning the eighth street beach a group of people were disrupting others by appearing intoxicated actually rowdy and using loud vulgar language. police say lifeguards approached the group and asked for their cooperation. >> had they gotten it would have been over. no farm no foul. this escalated to physical confrontations with lifeguards. >> reporter: when officers began to assist the group began to assault officers as well. >> a couple of the of of guys decided they were going to run. they ran into the boardwalk into one of our amusement pierce. >> reporter: inside gillian'ss wonderland the two men who fled

leader kim jong-un says his country's weapons program will never be negotiable. president trump could get another chance to persuade china's president the two men are expected to moat later this week on the side lines of the g20 summit in germany. another gun violence in philadelphia is raising concerns about the city's rising murder rate. overnight in germantown there were three separate shootings within an hour. one of those shootings near polaski and seymour claimed the life avenue 20-year-old man. that homicide is part of a broader trend of more murders this year. according to philadelphia police, there have been 156 so far. that's 24 more than the same time last year. statistics show that most of the murders this year are about 85 have been in north philadelphia. we now know the identity of a bensalem woman who died after police say she ran into a burning home to save her pet pe. firefightefirefighters bodies rd her home on the home on the 2700 block of jane avenue this

morning. dog an cat also died. two other residents and firefighter were injured. surviving dog is receiving medical care from read paws. >> members of the new york city police department and community are mourning the loss of their one of their officers. she was inside a parked mobile command union in the bronx when alexander bonds walked up and shot her in the head. bonds was shot and killed by police about a block away. officials say bonds was on patrol for robbery in syracuse. officer familia leaves behind three children. a camden county father accused of murders his son will go on trial again later this year. david creato, jr., retrial will begin on september11th his first trial ended in mistrial in may after the jury was deadlocked. prosecutors say creato kill his three-year-old son brendon in 2015 and left the little boy's body in cooper river park. creato is being held in jail until his new trial.
