intensifying their search for the missing men tonight. good evening i'm jessica dean. aim ukee washington. law enforcement has been all over bucks county in this investigation and tonight we have team coverage. >> our greg argos is in bensalem where home was searched by investigators but first we will go to alycia nieves with the latest on this massive search, leash a. >> reporter: well, jessica and ukee, officials here in bucks county are calling this a all hand on deck investigation, and it involves local, state, and federal agencies, now, there has been an enormous amount of police activity all throughout bucks county from bensalem to where we are at right now in solebury township , but authorities have just revealed in the last hour and a half that they do believe foul play is involved in the disappearance of the four missing men here in bucks county. four young men, including two teens in bucks county went missing last week all within days of each other and now search for them has centers in solebury township at this home

, chopper three over the home of the fbi has now been brought into help with the investigation. >> we're not exactly sure what we will find there, but we're pretty confident that the investigation is proceeding. >> reporter: search, rescue dogs were out along the property early this afternoon but later back hos were brought in for digging. police presence were seen searching a home in bensalem and business, all of the properties belong to the bernardo family from bensalem. >> we have reason to believe that there might be fruitful information that could be gained from them but i cannot say specifically. >> reporter: there has been flurry of police activity throughout bucks count that i could be connected to this investigation, authorities are tight-lipped and cautious with what they revealed. d.a. only says for the first time this afternoon that the disappearance of these four men, foul play is now involved >> i sure believe there is. >> reporter: authorities here in bucks county, throughout the day at news conferences admit that is there information that they have that they are not ready to

reveal, it is only saying that tomorrow morning at 11:00 o'clock they expect to have another press conference and will likely have several press conferences over the next couple days. reporting live from solebury township, alycia nieves for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thank you. we will go to "eyewitness news" reporter greg argos live in front of the house in been sale them was raid today in connection to the investigation, greg what do you know. >> reporter: well, jessica alycia just mentioned this is a very large investigation, police from different jurisdictions throughout the county searching multiple homes including this home right here behind me in bensalem. thinks off waylen circle and public record show it is owned by bernardo family. cosmo lives here and that teen may be involved in the disappearance of the these four young men. minutes ago he was rained in bensalem on unrelated weapons charges and transported to the bucks county correctional facility. new video from chopper three showing him being escorted inside county jail, throughout

the afternoon, law enforcement officials from county, state, federal agencies including the fbi, collected evidence, from this very home here in bensalem, district attorney from bucks county matthew weintraub says he considered this case one that does involved foul play and he expects this investigation to last at least through the majority of this week. >> this investigation, the lead are incredibly hot, they are very fruitful, we are making great progress but there is still so much more work to do. i have a feeling, i wish i didn't but i have a feeling we will be meeting like this for quite a few days. >> reporter: once again new information tonight, 19 year-old cosmo dinardo potentially may be involved in the disappearance of these four young men, he was arraigned on unrelated weapons charges, his bond set at one million-dollar just a short time ago. he is currently at bucks county correctional facility. no word on exactly what was taken from that home behind me but we will continue to follow

this mysterious case here in, bucks county. for now we are live from bucks county, i'm greg argos for cbs-3 eyewitness knees. >> greg, thank to you that are pennsylvania judge will deciding whether there is enough evidence, to send 16 former members of the penn state fraternity, to trial, defendants appeared in center county today for continuation of their preliminary hearing, ex-fraternity members are facing various charges in connection with the death of timothy piazza, 19 year-old died in february after night of drinking during an alleged hazing ritual. attorneys for piazza family and defendant joseph emeach each spoke out today. >> they told me from the courthouse to the court, there wasn't a moment today that he could not stop thinking about his son tim. >> this is a terrible tragedy, the ems family feels absolutely compassionate and deeply sorry about the loss of

this young man but we cannot equate tragedy with criminality. >> the hearing will continue, tomorrow. community members in new castle, delaware are rallying together tonight one day after a firely crash killed one person and three cats. authorities say that 36 year-old latoyia cooper's suv drove straight through brandywine valley spca vet clinic sunday morning sparking a fire and displacing 98 animals inside. spca is calling on the community to adopt. >> hate to hear anything that has to do with the animals, anything bad is depressing so i figured would i do my part and come and adopt. >> dozens of animals displaced by the crash are in need of the home but this time, police are investigating what caused that crash. authorities need the public's help identify filing a suspect whom they say stole two cash registers from the dunkin' donuts. lets show you surveillance video from last thursday morning, from the 5400 block of north fifth street, now

officials say that the suspect used a large stone to shatter front glass door, last seen fleeing west on the 400 block of somerville avenue. last week we told but a string of paint ball attacks in southwest philadelphia and tonight we have video of the car officials believe may be involved. police believe four men in this dark colored sedan fired paint balls at three women on wood land avenue. surveillance from the nearby street captured the video just before the incident. busy stretch of route one in delaware county is getting much needed safety improvements, "eyewitness news" reporter joe holden is live on the haverford township side of the roadway with the problem that authorities hope that this new project will help solve, joe. >> reporter: jessica, this is most significant project that route one in this part of the delaware county has seen in likely decade. there have been community meeting all trying to get to the heart of how to deal with a notoriously dangerous stretch of road way. it is dubbed a dangerous

stretch of road, cars quickly went by. others dodged traffic across numerous lanes, and pedestrian s, well, they rolled dice. >> just trying to get out you are taking your life on the hand. >> reporter: two and a half mile run of township line road also known as route one separating haverford and upper darby. >> i have seen people be aggressive, you know, floating >> speeding is way out offhanded, and, too dangerous for anybody riding over on this road. >> reporter: in three years police responded to 384 crashes, and 3,000 citations have been issued and fatalities have piled up. >> we have a tremendous speeding problem and accident problem, so it is also in upper darby. >> it is a disaster. >> reporter: brian romana a traffic reporter for kyw news radio, said tipping point for him was when he watched his neighbor die while pulling out on to township line road that moment was solidifying moment for me that said i have to do

aramingo avenue that has been closed for months is set to reopen, tomorrow morning. that means tonight and tomorrow night from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. single lane restrictions will be in place while crews remove barrier. part of the ramp to aramingo avenue has been closed since september 2016 for reconstruction. developing news in harrisburg parks governor tom wolf he will let state's budget go in effect tonight without his signature. governor had until midnight to decide, what to do with the 32 billion-dollar budget after stalemate with republicans. two side have not been able to close 2 billion-dollar hole in the budget and second straight year governor let an unbalanced budget bill become law without signing it. in new jersey governor chris christie's approval rating hovers at a all time low, new poll release by monmouth university puts governor's approval rating at 15 percent, this is first poll since the governor was spotted using a beach close to the

"eyewitness news" was at art of the brown community center in north philadelphia today as we can long camp got underway. the campers participated in classroom learning and they visited with first responders. and it is all sponsored by zach foundation a non-profit started by parents who who their son in a pool drowning caused by a drain. never go near a pool drain with a loose missing cover. zachary archer, became entrapped in the train in the swimming pool and his parents want to make sure no other child suffers a similar tragedy. >> reporter: instructors want parents to watch their children in or in water and they want tone courage children to talk to their parents about water safety. >> um-hmm. lauren casey has your forecast. mother nature will be turning up the heat. >> turning up the heat. good time to talk about water safety. people will be in the pool, in the ocean, also talking about heat safety with temperatures soaring up in the 90's but for right now we are doing all right getting a live look at

in western pennsylvania, but you do notice that it continues to move east and it is weakening seeing less in it or range and red reflectivity as it enters more stable air mass. most that have weakening before it arrives in our backyards so potentially could see isolated storm but that is it north and west of the city, otherwise, muggy and warm falling back to seven and then getting hot for tuesday, humid as well, temperatures soaring up to 94. mixture of sun and cloud with spotty thunderstorms, breezy conditions as well throughout the day and as we head into the upcoming week we are going to see a frontal boundary stalled to our our north so we will see spotty storms each day that is not widespread in coverage but storms that do develop will pre dues downpours and potential for gusty wind tomorrow and extend these hot, humid conditions into the end of the week. future weather showing us that cluster of thunderstorms that will not make its way in our area as we head into tomorrow

morning. looking at a dry tuesday morning commute but for second half of the day you might run into these spotty thunderstorms for your evening community seeing them not widespread in coverage but cells that do develop could be on the strong side and will pre dues heavy rainfall. watch out. could impact your tuesday commute. shore cast showing us mostly sunny conditions, chance of the evening thunderstorm, rip current risk is moderate so watch out for that and highs in the 80's and 90's tomorrow climbing to 91 degrees. good reminder never leave any being inside a car. temperatures soaring in the 100-degree range. very quickly. temperature increase 40 degrees in an hours time. most of that happened within the first 80 percent of that time frame. never leave a child, pet, in the car when dealing with this extreme heat over next several days, as we head into the end of the week things will look and feel a little bit better especially by saturday. >> all right, lauren thanks very much.
