area. we're tracking rain and thunder and where it's falling tonight. >> i'm natasha brown. thank you so much for joining us. a stormy summer night is ahead of us in philadelphia. we're watching as the radar begins to light up around the region and this incredible footage of a water spout in for theesque was captured. you can see the funnel moving through the clouds there. it's amazing, meteorologist khel kleel see ingram is keeping tram of that. >> there's moreheaded our wa way. here's a look at storm scan 3. we're tracking very strong showers and thunderstorms that are producing heavy downpours. particularly down to northeastern portions of maryland and cecil country where we have a flash flood warning in effect through this evening. and elsewhere we're dealing with heavy downpours near the west goshen area north of aston. extremely heavy downpours located west of philadelphia.

and then down into wilmington, delaware. we have extremely torrential downpours going on at this point in time. light rain down the shore for atlantic city. we have more rain headed our way moving into the overnight hours tonight. that's why a flash flood watch has been issued and that remains in effect for philadelphia and surrounding counties and all points north and west until 6:00 tomorrow morning. and we've even seen minor roadway flooding in some locations including portions of delaware county and chester county and we have a flood advisory until 8:45 p.m. tonight. here's what you can expect. showers and storm pushing through the region. we could see locally up to 2 to 4" of rain in some locations and we'll have to watch for potential of flash flooding as a result and damaging winds gusts with earlier storms that are pushing through. and we'll track it all coming up for new a bit. for now i'm natasha sending it back to you. >> wheel see, thank you. authorities in delaware country are trying to figure out how a boy was shot by a stray bullet last night. live at children's hospital of

philadelphia with an update on the boy's condition at this hour. alicia. >> that taubenberger it instead of home tonight the 11-year-old boy is here in the hospital recovering from his gun shot wound. he's expected to be okay. still, neighbors, people that live in the community he was shot are frustrated and saddened by the shooting. 10:00 saturday night police respond to a shooting in chester and it's second one of the night. this time, though, stray bullets pierce through a home along township line road. and an 11-year-old boy is shot in the stomach. >> it's sad you know? he's in his house not bothering anybody. it's sad. i'm praying he's all right you know. and i'm glad you know things were not worse. >> it's clear that kids live in nearly every home on the block. for people around here it's a miracle another one deposit get hurt. a apparently gunfire last night was so reckless some bullets not only hit the home and several cars nearby but they also hit the outside sign

philadelphia, alicia nieves. >> a woman was strapingled to death inside her home on saturday. authorities found 54-year-old denise weber dead on the 900 block of wessley avenue. her boyfriend, 49-year-old paul kline is charged with first degree mur murder. aggravated assault and endangering injured victim. weber's death is ruled a homicide in light of charges. >> and officials are also now investigating a deadly hit-and-run on i-76 near montgomery drive. it happened just before 10:30 last night and investigators believed the victim was struck by a 2016 dark colored vehicle. they believe there is possible damage to the front paeshling passenger and windshield of the car. anyone with information on the vehicle is asked to contact pennsylvania state police right away. and tragedy in tell kins park. an elderly couple that called their community home how much of their lives did not make it out of the burning home early sunday morning. as eyewitness news reporter

anita oh explains neighbors are leaning on each other mourning loss of the be loved couple. >> actively see the house on fire was something i never seep before. >> an elderly couple died in a raging house fire in elkins park to officials that. >> coye smell the smoke this morning. >> family members identified the victims of roy and helen finestone long time residents of the neighborhood. treacy warner says she would walk by the home often and chat with helen. >> lovely. she's lovely. i lived here almost 20 years. they've lived here forever. this say tragedy in our neighborhood. this is very, very sad. >> timothy shuk the deputy fire marshall of cheltenham township said it took more than 100 firefighters two hours to get the blaze under control a challenge made tough her by the home's balloon

frame construction. >> the roofer was collapsed into there and so there's a lot of debris inside that area and the fire then through the open doorways got into the interior of the house and other void spaces traveled up the walls. >> there's extensive damage to the twin home. you he soot charred frame. they found the elderly couple in a first floor bedroom and they believe that is where the fire gap. the couple's children deposit want to speak on camera but they were married more than 70 years and would have celebrated another anniversary in august. neighbors are struggling with the loss. >> such a terrible thing. >> fire officials are investigating and say it's too early to tell what sparked. it anita oh, cbs3, eyewitness news. >> developing tonight, out of san antonio texas authorities responded horrific scene after eight undocumented immigrants were found dead inside a tractor trail erin dozens more are hospitalized. police say 8 people, many in 20s and 30s were packed inside a trailer with no air compan

10:30 p.m. this evening and we'll soom you in though. we see torrential downpours in the wilmington area and west of philadelphia we're with even dell with a couple sprinkles and north of harple we have downpours coming as well and more to come in the overnight hours tonight. and that's why national weather serviceish idea a flash flood watch until moon morning. all points as you head to the north and west it's going to be metsy night out there. for today official high temperature in philadelphia was 89. we finally broke heat wave and not really by much. 89 was still a warm one and now down to 81 in philadelphia and 79 in wildwood and it's 79 trenton and we have east wind and that's pulling in moisture helping to enhance showers and storms and as they move across the delaware valley tonight and into the overnight hours.

70 current dew point in philadelphia and 76 wilmingto wilmington. we have a lost of moisture in the air and steamy. that will be the case monday to and tuesday and wednesday relief from both the heat and also humidity and down right comfortable and headed to middle of the week. much better weather will be headed our way. let's track storms for you and even as we head to 10, 11, midnight hour tonight heavy downpours from lancaster to southern new jersey and even into philadelphia this continues overnight and clea clearing adds we head to 5, 6:00 tomorrow morning and as we head into tomorrow afternoon we could see a stray shower or storm and we start to see breaks of sunshine as well. improving weather will be headed our way. look at numbers that are being presented out in this model in particular at least one inch and some spots locally higher
