down the shore. >> i think by the time we get, oh, stop it. people are sing withing me at home, i guarantee it. >> yes, sure, sure. >> i think by the time we're done with our shift probably still okay. >> okay. >> to make that trip. toward early evening, things begin to go more downhill. at the moment, though, here is some news for you. dense fog advisory has been issued, it includes part of western chester, montgomery, upper berks counties, all point north basically, and for dense fog that's definitely been thickening across the delaware valley in the last hour or so t has dramatically reduced visibility, so you'll be talking un quarter mile visibility in some spots. just one example, i'm telling you, we really watch that fog thicken here at kutztown area middle school. winds just so slight. it is at most 2 miles per hour at the moment. so, there should and silo. should g fields in the distance here, you can barely make it out. that's what you may run into as you travel. please be careful, at the moment, storm scan, pretty quiet t does of course not stay this way, do you have

this happened just before 1:00 r 20th street and fairmount avenue. police say the crooks got away with a unknown amount of money and cigarette, fortunately, no one was hurt, so far no word on any arrests. authorities in gloucester county investigating after trying to figure out what caused serious crash in franklin township. chopper three was over the 3,000 block every delsea drive around 6:30 last night. still waiting to hear back from officials, and no word on the victim's conditions. >> and police over in burlington county are investigating an accident that killed a pedestrian in delran. this crash happened near ten by chase drive around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. chopper three over that scene, as police shutdown part of route 130. officials say 44 year old john was hit by driver in the northbound lanes, the driver did stay at the scene. >> well, a robbery quickly turns into a gun showdown between suspect and police officer in new castle county. this all started on the 1100 block of west over road, around 7:00 last night in

wilmington. police say that is where an officer tried to stop a robbery suspect. the suspect then began shooting at the officer, who then fired back. the suspect took off on foot, and the officer ran after him. >> the officer was able to take the suspect into custody, without any injury, and the one police department was able to locate two suspect, who we believe are possibly involved in the initial robbery. >> police arrested the suspect at greenhill and seventh street where they arrested the two other suspect , as well. no one was hurt. >> investigators in ohio are trying to figure out how the fireball ride at the center after deadly state fair accident passed multiple safety inspections, 18 year old man died, at least seven others hurt wednesday night, when the thrill ride at the ohio state fair seemed to break free of it housing. the fair is open, but all of the rides are closed for now. >> and a vigil held outside a columbus ohio high school in memory of tyler jerrell, the victim of the accident.

the they gathered to celebrate and remember the 18 year old, jerrell was rising senior at the school, and made early commitment to the marrero evens, authority say he was thrown into the ride when the ride malfunctioned. he fell to the grounds and died at the scene. >> and the effect that the tragedy in ohio are widespread even here at home. parent and amusement park managers alike paying closer attention now to ride safety. wildwood morey's pier shutdown rides similar to the one at the deadly accident as a precaution, at the delaware state fair, kent county, tested by both state officials and private inspections, same for the timber fairgrounds in phoenixville. >> every day we inspect our rides, whether 10,000 come through, or two people come through. we inspect every single day, no ride opens until the inspections done. >> and in addition to morey's pier in wildwood, fares and amusement parks in california, oregon, minute society, a even canada also shutdown similar rides as a precaution. >> well, philadelphia police are investigating after video

surfaces on line after brawl at a center city sips event. this happened wednesday evening, just feet from the front doors of the comcast center. about 3,000 people were taking part in the weekly happy hour event when several fight broke out. authorities say six people were involved in the melee, and could not face charges. >> when the officer got into the crowd, they didn't see the fight, things only starting to disperse, but if someone was assaulted and come forward, hey listen, i got pun. in the jaw yesterday, i want to make assault report, we will be happy to take t we don't want to leave stones un turned here. >> center city district the organization that runs sips released a statement that reads in part: the ccd regrets that inapropriate behavior by six individuals, in a 20-second incident that disrupted a relaxing after- work event as one of our zero nine participating venues last evening, has cast a shadow on a highly successful promotional event that hundreds of thousands of guests have enjoyed for more than 11 years. by the way, philly police say

driver crashed on a british roadway. police say the car was engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene. the driver, fortunately, only suffered minor bruises, and cuts. and no other vehicle was involved in the crash. authority say road conditions were wet, and that heating was likely not a factor. >> so many questions here. talk about bad luck. >> well, pushing gears to weather now, terrifying moments for these folks in missouri, they became stranded on the cab that far truck surrounded by inned waters. fortunately, rescuers were able to reach the mud boat and take them to safety. no one hurt there is area south of kansas city has been cript end by massive rain, massive flooding. see the effect that far. >> that's unreal. >> it is. >> so, okay, flashflood watch. >> yes. >> exactly. >> he said warning earlier, katie was like, ya. >> right now just a watch. >> so watch, then it moves to warning later on? >> as long as it becomes imminent. i won't be surprised if that does in fact happen. it is still looking like we will have very soaking rain.

but his video just unbelievable. we won't be in that same kind of boat, no pun intended really but looks like the poor truck sitting in the middle of a after lake, unbelievable flooding out that way. we do however have the potential to see several inches worth of rain from this , and the storm itself, not really looking all that interestingly organized, right now, but do you have some pocket of very heavy rain right now specially back through tennessee, eventually this all does move in from the southwest, and it will come through, most heavily, toward night fall. so even though the flashflood watch actually takes effect 2:00 p.m. this afternoon, and specific to southern half of the delaware valley, it is at it worse, the rain, and the flashflood potential, later tonight, and the first half of tomorrow. so that's why it lasts us for solid 24 hours. but here are your future rain amounts, by the time we hit 6:00 p.m., may only be a .10 of an inch on the ground give or take, since only see couple of scattered showers moving through up until the heavier batch of rain gets here. once we put this into motion what you will notice, i think immediately, is that the brunt of the precipitation falls across the southern most

branches of our area. so southern most counties, cape may, southern cumberland, southern atlantic city, atlantic county rather, i heard that grunt, pat, i know you're headed down the shore this weekend, but two to 4 inches every rain highly possible especially in the southern most counties, here, mainly late tonight, first half of tomorrow, left over showers at worse that can have tomorrow, then out of here, so it is a half and half weekend it, dries out nicely by sunday , and smooth sailing right through wednesday at this point, pat. >> ugh. >> yes, i heard that. >> that was a little loud for everyone to hear. morning, everyone, this is a look at the schuylkill expressway eastbound. this is south street ramp, it is block off due to accident that's pushed off to the side. but it is certainly causing a slow go in this vicinity. also, 59 southbound, right lane still closed, this has been out here over an hour, it was in the left two lanes, now push off to the right shoulder not causing any slow downs, as far as traffic is concerned, but just make note, it is out there. ninety-five southbound at girard, starting to see it

>> we have to get this on tape >> absolutely amazing. you want to go viral. there go. >> okay, we've got fog issues, right behind me here on the cbs-3 skydeck, center city off in the distance, really the clouds aren't doing anything more than the very tops of the skyscrapers at this point here doesn't mean that you will find that same situation everywhere, though, there is dense fog advisory that's been issued, going to last us until 8:00 a.m. so about zero nine minute or so left on this, for the west and north most counties here. so lehigh valley being poconos region, anywhere from western chester to up upper bucks county northwest new jersey in on. that will advisement quite poor. saw them reduce very rapidly as well over the last hour, so , your current visibilities, are as such. finding them pretty even even when you don't have advisory, a.c. airport, un half mile, as is allentown, as is reading. important note there, as well, is that these are observation sites, doesn't mean the entire sit of allentown is down to .3 visibility but you will certainly run into that i
