a.m. ukee and jess were telling you there was concern especially along the delaware river and high tide time 1:00 in the morning we could see the delaware in spots overflo overflowing into the banks. we had creek flowing and water in basement of the homes and something could still watch as we go to the next couple hours. even though the heavy rain moved out and rain threat is diminishing rapidly. and we see that in these cluster of thunderstorms even in the half hour losing steam and momentum and light to moderate a shower and 71 degrees. can we get a whole, dry day to ring ourselves out. i'll have that in the full eyewitness forecast in a few, ukee. >> thank you, lauren. >> the philadelphia police department is among police around the nation taking a close look tonight at suvs

that officers drive every single day. the trouble has to do with carbon monoxide leaking into some of the vehicles. david spunt is at police headquarters with more on the problem. david. >> ukee, authority have not found problems here in philadelphia. that's why they're proactive and they don't want to take any chances. >> these are ford explorer intercept suvs and city of philadelphia has quite a few of them and making negative headlines across the country because of carbon monoxide. >> this is my family. >> this is austin, texas, interim chief police who says he's pulling the whole fleet after 22 police officers tested positive for carbon monoxide in the blood. >> i stand confident we're making the right decision based on what we know with carbon monoxide exposure we had and impacts on the workforce. >> authorities believe the exhaust is leaking into vehicles. federal regulators expanded their investigation into

reports that exhaust was leaking into the cabin of ford explorers. in philadelphia city drive ford suv a version specifically made for law enforcement. city of philadelphia has 203 of them. 188 are are in the police department. a spokesman for the city of philadelphia says cities are in contact with ford and have not discovered any problems locally. the town of auburn outside boston has seen problems and an officer lost consciousness and crashed explorer on wednesday. the officer kept it positive for carbon monoxide. >> as a result of that, several vehicles in the fleet have since been taken out of service. and i spoke with representative from ford today and they actually have engineers here working in massachusetts on this issue. >> and a spokesperson for ford told drivers of regular

the storms were far less widespread today and but from storm it pops and it sat and dumped down torrential rain over portions of burlington county and burlington township we talked about earlier closed in both directions for a period of time. 95 in man field burlington country closed and now we're seeing issues with apartment flooding and homes being flooded and main concern potential for flooding along the delaware and also some creek flooding due to the excessive rainfall that we've seen over the last couple hours and really the last month as well. and this flood warning remains in effect for the areas including southeastern bucks and northern burlington until 1:15 in the morning and heavy rain cleared out and that is good news and cluster of thunderstorms developing later in the evening hours through the lehigh valley and that winding down and dealing with lingering light to moderate

rainfall. raindrops still falling in and around wilmington. as we head into the day tomorrow a quieter day. just a chance of isolated thunder shower west of 95. otherwise steamy sunshine to end the workweek high temperature 89. today average on the head in philadelphia 87 degrees. started close to average as well as 67 earlier this morning and temperatures rights now generally in 70s. cooler in the poconos, 66 degrees. 70 allentown and 75 in philadelphia and 74 right now in wildwood. comfort index steamy borderline oppressive day tomorrow factoring in humidity levels and frontal boundary dropping in early saturday morning kicks that humidity out of here and it will be feeling pleasant by saturday afternoon, saturday evening and it will feel so nice and sunday is not at all going to feel like august with a comfortable humidity levels. future weather showing us quiet friday morning commute look going on lunch hour to walk around and grab that
