>> better bring something back today is friday, august 4, good morning, i'm jim donovan. >> i'm january jan. >> pat bringing stuff back for us? >> he better or we'll track him down. >> looking outside right now do, have couple of minor accident, we will get to all of that coming up, the nice dry roadways for now. >> and for the most part most of us should stay dry today. with every passing day granted we had some thunderstorms really went through with a vengeance yesterday, but weren't as widespread as the predecessors from the day before. little left over shower rolling right now across burlington county border into ocean county, but for the most part here, i do think you'll see some sunshine, it will be hot, it will be sticky throughout the course of the day, but any showers or thunderstorms will wait again until the afternoon. they primarily fire up to the west. so maybe you've got plans to make a trip out to watch i shall country or hershey park or something like that for the weekend, going out there this afternoon, that's when the

threat of not just some thunderstorms but maybe even some severe weather back to central pa specifically may start to threaten. so we will need to keep an eye on the radar out that way for any thunderstorm cells that might try to migrate east. right now we don't sit in the major threat of severe weather here locally at all. low 70s around the region as a whole, upper 60s, allentown back to reading, a.c. airport, wildwood, checking low 70s at this hour, as do many of the other beach locations. for example, stone harbor, 71 degrees, winds direction still generally out of the south, pumping in the moisture content, so again, we will still keep it on the humid side throughout the course of the day here. by 3:00 p.m., yes, still call it partly sunny, but there will be few showers, thunderstorms, and i'll give you little better sense of where those might erupt most specifically later in the show , meisha? >> sounds good. katie, thank you so much. and good morning, happy friday , so looking outside at the ben franklin bridge. looking gorgeous here, traveling westbound from jersey over the bridge into center city. looking good. looking just as it should. now, couple of places where it

is not. it is still early. we do have couple every accident out there. this one schulkhill eastbound montgomery drive, was blocking all lanes, in fact, the accident right was in the center lane. then it blocked all lanes now it is pushed all the way over to the far right. so traffic getting by there pretty good. you might see people kind of putting on their brakes, as they travel on by, little gaper delay. overall not enough vehicles out there to sustain any real slow downs, looking okay there new jersey turnpike southbound past pa turnpike, another crash here, two inner roadway lanes blocked now, just heads up, that construction, back to the schuylkill westbound, left lane compromised there, now all clear. crews completely out of the way. looking good there. we will be talking about a lot of construction coming up in the next tenth minute or so. back to you. >> thank you shall meisha. >> breaking news this morning, car crash into a pool store then that store goes up in flames. >> authority now trying to figure out what caused the driver to swerve off the road. trang, what can you tell us? >> good morning, jen, jim, still very active scene here, the 1600 block of northwest end boulevard, also known as 309. now, if anybody's getting up, getting ready to go to work, definitely avoid this area. take a look at the scene, still tons of crews out here, and we can see the pool store directly across the street. now, right now, tow truck is getting ready to tow that car that was involved in this crash, as you mentioned, that driver has died. now, crews remain on the scene , because this was very challenging fire, lot of hazards to deal with. this is a pool store. take a look at this video from earlier this evening. now there is fire started just after 2:00 a.m., at 1618 northwest end boulevard in quakertown, the pool pro. state police say someone was driving on the road here, but for unknown reason their car left the roadway, crashed into the building again part of pool pro, pool supply company. now the building then caught fire. as you can imagine, lots of

hazards to deal with here but flammable chemicals stored inside. firefighters had to wear their air packs due to the chlorine and acid in the air. now, at this point, investigators are still not sure why the driver lost control. >> apparently motor vehicle, not sure which direction, came down the highway, lost control somehow, went off the highway, and crashed into the building, setting the building on fire. >> this is not only a business here, there was actually an apartment upstairs, and family has been displaced right now, they're still missing their dog. at this point, firefighters here, just cleaning up this scene. it could take some time. but for now, live from quakertown, i'm trang do, cbs 3, "eyewitness news," jan, jim being back to you. >> tracks that's very bus busy business, i find my hot tub supplies there, the folks that run that place real nice, too, so sad to see this, especially sad story with the driver of the car. thank you for that report.

>> resident in parts every south jersey are dealing with flooding, this is a look from our chopper three over route 130 last night, heavy down poured stranded drivers, businesses and homes in the area were also flooded. >> you have a problem, regarding flooding, please do not drive-thru the flood, flooded streets, if you see a line down, do not cross the line, please dial 911 so someone can come out there. >> now, fortunately, there are no injuries to report. the storm yesterday also caused flight delays at philadelphia international airport. >> authority in camden country investigating a multi vehicle crash, in cherry hill, that left one person dead. that crash happened right around 9:00 last night, on kings highway near miami avenue. police say the wreck involved two motorcycles, and at least one other vehicle. in addition, to that fatality, another person was also injured in that crash. no word on that person's condition, this morning. >> well, it is a game, police

>> on "eyewitness news," death of texas woman whose body was found on a beach in ocean city maryland this week has been ruled accidental. thirty year old ashley o'connor fell into a hole someone dug in the sands there , and was burried alive. authority say the incident sadly is not unheard of. beach-goers, who dig, don't know holes can quickly cave in and trap those inside. >> the body singing one moment

sections will broiling in the heat and wild fire smoke. core correspondent john loyer ends with the latest on this west coast wetter. >> flashflooding engulfed part of southern california thursday in the community of acton, 50 miles outside of los angeles, roads were washed out , vehicles were trapped, and some people needed to be rescued. in a metro link train, caring about 200 people with was stopped, due watery roading section of track. over in palm springs, early morning thunderstorms were to blame for flooding, power outages, road closures in the coachella valley. washington state could use some precipitation. wild fires are scorching some spots, like lewis count. >> i we expect it just to get worse over the next several days of this dry weather continues. >> the area hasn't had significant rain in weeks. and is dealing with record-breaking high temperatures. air quality problems are reported in seattle. >> if you're outside even for five minutes, ten minute, and whether it comes, the kind
