well, tail light moving in the southbound direction, any time weaver rain might want to check your schedules with the airport, but so far so good. congestion levels looking good there, as well. forty-two, a.c. expressway starting to builds levels push in the northbound direction, just heads up on that a lot of you coming back from the shore , as well, route 206, right lane compromised but around there still showing a lot of green, and we do have an accident delaware memorial bridge southbound one lane blocked there. that accident in swenksville, that's still out there, as well. park avenue closed, at pennypack err road, your alternate, spring mountain road your best bet, rahel, joe , back to you. >> thank you, some sad news this morning, the philadelphia sport community is remembering one of the city's most beloved athlete. >> fan favorite darren daulton lost his four year battle with brain cancer. daulton spent most of his career with the phils. dutch was the unofficial team captain on the 93 phillies and led scrappy group of guys to within two wins of a world

championship. he went ton three all-star games and finally won a world series, with the marlins in 1997. darren daulton was 55. >> phillies broadcaster ricky ricardo tells us what made dutch such a special player. >> he taught us how to deal with adversity he was fighter, a family man, great friend, teammate to the guys obviously mourning him all week and through this alumni weekend coming up but more than anything else he was one every us. >> daulton diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013, but just two years later declared himself cancer free. the death east came back last year, he is survive by his wife and four children, his parents, and brother, his funeral will be private. fans remember one of their favorite phillies. >> it does make me want to cry that he end up having to pass away, because he was such a

good, good, great, you know, ball player. >> he really was, he really did epitomize everything you want to see as a philadelphia sport fan. >> and here's a look at this morning's philadelphia daily news front page. it says it all. good-bye, dutch. phillies wall of famer darren daulton succombed to cancer, joe it, really will be difficult day for phillies fans and philadelphians in general. >> indeed. he was such a part that far phillies team in 1993, of course, before helped to build that team to what it was, so heartfelt memories for the family of darren adult daulton this morning. >> also, for the second time in less than a month, hundreds of teens square off with police outside after rec center in east german and town >> trang joe live at the lonnie young recreation center , another cook out has turned chaotic, trang, perhaps hard to believe, the same rec center but what are police saying? >> well, police aren't saying much. but they did arrest three people. but people in this neighborhood are saying that here we go again.

someone on facebook live actually called this the lonnie young rampage part two. >> philadelphia police ushered dozen of young people along chelten avenue, away from the lonnie young recreation center in east east germantown, where some 300 teens gathered sunday night. police say they had no choice but to break up the group around 10:00 p.m. when some in the crowd began to get rowdy and throw rocks at police. officers arrested three people for vandalism to patrol cars. a similar scene unfolded three weeks ago, at the same rec center, a cook out advertised on social media, attracted some 400 teens, videos posted on line show young people banking on cars and taunting police officers. police said some of the kids began hurling bottles at them. officers did not make any arrests, and the crowd eventually dispersed. police had a message for parents then, a good reminder once again, after the second disturbance at lonnie young in a month. >> i know it is nice to have

the fresh air, and to be out with their friends, on a summer night. but parents have to be aware what their children are doing, who they're with, and what they're getting involved in. >> and, fortunately, no one was hurt in either incident. but, councilman cindy, who represent this neighborhood, she said the last time this happened at the city real had i to do more to provide opportunity for kids to have jobs, and also, recreational opportunities during the summer. but for now, liver in east germantown, i'm trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," joe, rahel, back to you. >> trang, thank you for that live report. >> a driver is arrested and charged after leading police on chase into new jersey, eventually ended in south philly. that started on fourth and spring garden, yesterday morning, and police say the suspect carjacked a septa employee. police say pits then stole gas at gunpoint in south jersey, claimed to be cop then took off. officers then spotted him in south philly and one

eyewitness had the high speed chase. >> sitting there watching the high speed chase, you didn't recognize what was going on, seen him moving. so actually drove past, then dank, then you see the cops, ya, crazy. >> and the suspect crashed into a park car, authorities have charged him with theft and i am percent nature ago officer. the search continues for the hit-and-run driver who killed a woman in center city. investigators say an s.u.v. hit 53 year old ann broderick, near 13th and race streets, around 3:20 sunday morning. died shortly after. police renato now looking for new err model white jeep wrangler rubecon might have front ends damage. if you see this vehicle, police want to hear from. >> we do have some video police want you to so. camden county police department looking for suspect , involved in a violent atv crash that injured a detective. investigators say the detective and an officer noticed the suspect tampering with equipment at a gas station on newtown avenue. the officer's ordered the suspect to stop. well, that's when he allegedly drove his atv toward them, hitting the door of the patrol

car before striking that detective. the officer also injured in the incident, both were treated at the hospital and released. >> it appears us secretary of state, rex tillerson, managed to @ void meeting with top diplomate at summit of southeast asia nations. tillerson skipped aedine their both men were scheduled to attend, over the weekends, the united nations security counsel voted to enact new sanctions on north korea following tests every inter-continental balistic missiles which have the potential to carry nuclear weapons. cbs this morning will have more on this sanctions, at the 7:00 right after "eyewitness news" this morning here on cbs-3. >> well, president trump is staying at his property in somerset county new jersey, while the white house gets a make over. the executive mansion long overdue for major upgrade. there has not been a renovation at the white house since the 1940's. there are reports the roof leaks, so our investigation

and some foul odors in certain areas. >> new jersey governor, chris christie, is inviting president trump to stay at a state-owned beach house during his trip to the garden state. the residence in question at island beach state park made headlines last month, remember this picture? yes, governor christie there, photographed lounging on the beach, that was ordered closed during a state government shutdown. president trump currently in new jersey, visit hadding is golf club in bed minister. >> president is welcome it the gubernatorial beach house any time he wants. we would welcome him with open arms, and we're just happy that the president decided of all of the places co-go, for some relaxation, at least a little bit, during august, that he's coming to the state of new jersey. >> and president trump will be in new jersey until august 20th, it is unclear at this point if he plans to take governor christie up on his offers. >> vice president mike pence, pushing back against the public's report, suggesting he noons run for president in 2020. reports that vice president is

leading a campaign to get elected in three years. pence is calling the report, quote, big news. vice president says he and his team are focused on re-electing president trump instead. >> chicago mayor, rob emanuel, suing the federal government today in defense every it status asomugha sanctuary city will be in federal court today the city argues that grants cannot be withheld from cities , that the administration says are not cooperating enough. philadelphia also one of these so-called sanctuary cities. at least ten people were hospitalized, after an american airlines flight en route to philadelphia encountered violence lent turbulence, now video from sign-in side the cabin moment after the harrowing experience >> just totally unexpected. make an assessment, make sure everybody's okay. and again, we sincerely apologize. >> again there is video after that bumpy experience,

turbulence happened about 20 to 30 minutes before the plane landed on saturday. it was the final stretch of a nearly ten-hour flight from greece, passengers tell us the flight attendant got the worse of it, they were apparently serving drinks at the time. well, american airlines issued only a brief statement acknowledging the situation, saying the faa will investigate, passengers we've spoken with say they've not been offered any type of monetary compensation. >> things are back to normal in this central pennsylvania town, residents were forced to leave last week after a train derailed and flames errupted. six carson a csx freight train hopped the tracks, no one hurt , but the evacuation lasted three days, some cars on the freight train caring flammable liquid asphalt. csx is investigating what caused the derailment. >> up next, we will tell you the big celebrity cup hole just announced their split. >> also ahead: o.j. simpson white bronco hitting the

counting on you, are also reporting pretty much the same so, at the moment, as we take you on out to handful of these , lou out in eagleville, he's really just has some clouds. this is the last 12 minute, start to see, some drizzle in the next couple every minute. meanwhile, eileen, also, is starting to see some rain. 63 degrees, she says, mist like drizzle, humidity hi, temperatures 63, dew .62, yes, awfully close. it means you have lot of saturation, yes, pretty much a bad hair day. sixty-six is the temperature that comes in from john, but more specifically, i want to show you the fact that he's seeing some rain already picking up over a .10 of an inch. down in new castle county delaware where the rain has definitely gun to pick up more intensity in that zone. society first batch. may be little bit of a lull that come through here. but, this still needs to work it way through, will come through quite heavily for our area throughout the second half of the day. afternoon, evening, when we see the steadiers, heaviest of the rain. meanwhile, if you get enough

sunlight, there will be severe weather threat. notice, obviously far south philadelphia. but, philadelphia county technically will sit in a marginal risk for stronger thunderstorms today. main issues, look to be wind, minor risk every hail, isolated tornado not totally ruled out. but it is a very low risk. future rain apartments tell the story here, we put this into motion. talking potential here into the early afternoon for over an inch. already by 2:00 p.m. then it just keeps going into about 8:00 p.m. when it finally begins to wrap up. so there is high possibility that we pick up at least one, 2 inches in that heaviest zone , south of the city, maybe even locally up to four, though, some of you, by tuesday, wednesday, thursday, clearing it out, high pressure regains control for few days, meisha. that means, some sunshine. >> all right, katie, women, thank you so much. because we know that wet roadways on monday morning are going to cause some problems. so, what we are seeing right now, some more camera shot, this starting to get wet right there. looking at the vine, not closed overnight for the construction by the way, starting to get wet around the schuylkill, blue route, before route one, this is what you
